Let me start off by saying that I am TERRIFIED of animals and insects. Anyhow about 3 months ago, I had my first encounter with Leonardo's Pest Control. At the time, I was taking medications that distorted my vision and caused my skin to tingle. Because of the awkward feeling on my skin, I started assuming that I had some type of microscopic insect in my home. I started looking under the couches and mattresses for bed bugs or any other type of insect I could find. BINGO! I thought I found the culprit- Carpet Beetles, microscopic insects that are difficult to see. I was terrified to be in my home. I had my friends, family, and even carpet cleaning service over here to see if they could rid my house of the insects. No one else saw the bugs except me. So, that of course did not work. At the time I was quite ill, so it would have been best for me to stay at my own home per doctors orders. However, no matter how strenuous for my health, I was going to leave my home within a couple minutes until I could find someone to help. I didn't want to leave, but I had no choice Around 9 at night, I sat in my car (because I was too afraid to remain in my home) and started calling pest control companies left and right. Every company I called could only set appointments for me within a couple of days. That meant I would not be staying at my home. Last try, I resorted to Yelp and looked up good reviews on Leonardo's. When I called (nearly 10 pm and already in tears), I explained my situation and asked for an emergency visit. I WAS FLOORED BY HIS RESPONSE. He would come immediately after eating dinner with his family. So, about an hour later Leonardo and his son showed up. I was nearly in tears by the time they arrived. This is the point where any pest control service would take advantage of any customer who is convinced they have a bug problem. However, when he came, everything I pointed out as the culprit, Leonardo would say was just a figment of my imagination. He even picked up the microscopic particles and placed them on the table and displayed that they were crumbs that remained after vacuuming. He really tried to calm me down and convince me that there were no bugs in my home. He also was very kind in that he told me that I had to be careful when calling other pest control companies and allowing them to take advantage of my extreme fear. Most other companies would've taken advantage and abused the fact that I was so fearful. However, Leonardo made sure that I understood I had no bugs and that there was nothing to be worried about. He even had his son vacuum all of the crumbs off of my floor to guarantee that I would not try to convince myself that I had bugs later. He even checked to make sure that I had no other bug problems, such as bed bugs or roaches. I was in the clear. Well, he did find some spiders and wasps outside, which he treated before leaving. I was pleased, but I did not want to be fearful like that again. It was not a good feeling. So, Leonardo offered a service to me. He could come to my home once a month and do a prevention treatment to the inside and outside of my home, which would stop bugs from coming. Of course, I agreed to the services. He even gave me a $5 per month discount. As contracted, he or his son has made it here every month to treat my home. Speaking of his son, he is young man (I assume in his late teens to early/mid twenties) who plays a crucial role in the business. He has been the one coming to my home to do the treatments each time. He is also extremely nice. So I am also satisfied with Leonardo's employees. Also, Leonardo PROMISED that he would come if I ever were to have a bug problem. He said all I had to do was call and he would come to take care of it. Well, my father and I saw a bug in my home, so we called Leonardo. Although he was not able to make it out as quickly as he did the last time (SAME DAY), Leonardo came the next day and gave my home an extra treatment. The extra calls are guaranteed under the monthly service fee that I make every month, which is a great assurance. And finally, I was really happy when Leonardo told me that should I ever have financial difficulties paying, that he would take a post-marked check and wait the few days to cash it. This definitely took a lot of pressure off of me, as I am just a law school student. I do not have a job yet. So, money is sometimes a little funny (lol). Fortunately, I have not had to ask for an extension yet, but believe me if the situation comes to it, I WILL!!! So, I hope my review of the company helps you decide which pest control company you would like to go with. Leonardo's Pest Control would definitely be my suggestion. I would recommend his company to all people living within the Los Angeles area. For the most part, Leonardo is fast, honest, very nice, knowledgeable and affordable. No better company. I have my older house and call different people,they just take my money and i have ants all over,cockroaches all over and even rats walking on my living room. I am so upset and think myself what is the terrible service and how i can found good people who is take care of this problem?: Six month ago we moved to different house in Lakewood,this is even worse,ant all over us,we cannot even sleep at night,some strange bugs bite my french bulldog and he was paralyses have stroke after this poison,thanks God he still alive and back to normal now,but this takes thousand's of dollars to make him back alive. Young boy come to my house- William,he smile and very polite,explain to me everything,he spray all my house,do some stuff for cockroaches and we CANNOT BELIEVE IT - NO ANTS,NO cockroaches ANYMORE!!!! I suffer so many years with other lousy companies and people who do not understand anything and very lazy to take care of my house and my problem,this company the best of the best! I am very pleased with the professional way company is run. Father and Son have the necessary licenses and skills to get rid of the pests, run the company and make guarenteed repairs. We were told where the problems were and what can be done to rectify the matter. When having rentals it can be difficult to arrange tenants schedules with company, they went out of their way to make this happen. The son was very polite and patient when dealing with the tenants. Listened to tenant all the while keeping Owner, Manager business between the ones who pay the bill. There was not any poison put where pets would normally go. The attic and under house is where the decon like poison was put. The traps are out of the normal pet areas also. They called the owner to see if we had heard of any problems with the unites.We had heard nothing at that time. One of the tenants was asked in written form if any problems, said heard nothing and saw nothing. After four weeks another tenant said there was problem. Within 24 hrs the company was back to check things out. There was a sign a rat had been back so the traps were we reset. There was no dead rotents. The office staff is professional,. I would call Leonard's again if any of my other rentals have a problem. read more

Leonardo definitely deserves this review! The BEST customer service I have ever experienced. After trying to deal with an ant problem in my house for 4 months, I decided to call a professional. Leonardo provided same day service and totally guarantees his work. We have the most persistent ant problem he's seen in his 20 years of experience but he has faithfully come back 4 times in the last 2 weeks at no extra cost. He even calls me to check up and see if our ant problem still exists. He always answers the phone and is available anytime I call. He uses the best pesticides on the market and is extremely thorough. Both him and his son William believe in doing things the right way and not cutting corners. They are always punctual, honest, and truly dedicated to what they promise. Leonardo's Pest Control has been an absolute pleasure to work with. We had been having problems for almost a year and had to take action due to our child's health and the danger that rodents cause. And let's not forget the mess and the noise! William is the son of the owner and should make his family proud of how he represents the company. Leonardo's pest control is definitely the best in the area! My landlord contacted a different company that didn't bother showing up 2 times but when I called Leonardo he was at my place withing an hour and it was on a weekend. Father and son team did a very through job on treating fleas both inside apartment as well as outside. They have explained what chemicals they used and what to expect in the upcoming weeks.They are very knowledgeable, courteous and do their jobs extremely well. LEONARDO`S PEST CONTROL is everything you'd want in a pest inspection/mitigation company.Scheduling the inspection was easy and He was on time, friendly, thorough, and efficient. The proposed costs were reasonable for fixing the issues found. Although they were busy and schedule the repair work for a few weeks later, they did fast-track a critical repair and showed up to fix it within an hour of my calling.He was super friendly and professional and he took care of the issue. I have been a loyal customer of Leonardo's for many years. I had a major problem with ants in the house and waterbugs on the outside that always seem to make it inside. After initially stopping the infestation, Leonardo's staff started a monthly program of maintenance of spraying inside the house and around the outside of the property. No More Bugs! Its a relief not to have to deal with these pests and even cost efficient considering the price of insecticides and the hassle of having to apply it. Kudos to Leonardo and his crew! He searched high and low until he found the offending critter (which was NOT easy), gave me advice about sealing up our house and placing traps in the future, and cleaned up everything. I don't care what you have to say about the company, but Wilson was seriously great! My mom HAD a terrible bug issue and we called a different company and they definitely didn't get the job done. Wilson really got where the other guy didn't and actually was doing his job. There's also a 90 day warranty if the issue isn't solved. I have had about 10 different kinds of exterminating companies come to my house for extermination and none have solved my cockroach and spider problem other than LEONARDO'S PEST CONTROL. I live in a rental home. My home is next to an overgrown city lot. We used to get an incredible amount of bugs in our yard. Some kinds I'd never seen before.
