I don't think there is a company I recommend more highly, or an individual I recommend more highly than Jeff. He tented our house, but he also inspected everything that could be damaged by the tent and had super helpful recommendations about making the process easy (for example, propping an old planter up to protect other things from the weight of the tent). He kept checking in advance and, when our contractors started putting up certain light fixtures that could be damaged, he proactively informed us so we could postpone that work. It went without a hitch. He personally attends to our mosquito and brown widow problems - which are no longer a problem. We had 2 other pest control companies prior to Jeff and neither of them got it done. I am a mosquito magnet, but I have yet to be bitten at my house this year. A skunk [update: FOUR SKUNKS] recently took up residence in our jasmine right by our front door and started scent marking every night because construction at the vacant house next door drove it to us (yay). While I'm ashamed to admit I didn't think to ask Jeff whether they did that kinda service ("termite" doesn't seem broad enough), after calling all of the local rodent removal service, Jeff was the only one who had a no spray trap (the others swore up and down there was no such thing despite every corner of the internet attesting that there was - some even charged more of it DID spray...right at our front door). He came the same day and caught it within the week and, sure enough, it wasn't able to spray despite it being trapped and relocated. This guy is a gem. Jeff is going to get the job done. I called their number and spoke with Christine (I believe) who explained the process of what Jeff would come out to do. She was super patient with me as I have never experienced such a situation. She was able to squeeze me into the schedule the next day and gave me instructions on prep needed. Additionally, she called when Jeff was 30 minutes away (within the two-hour window). Jeff arrived, introduced himself, was in a business polo, and handed me a card. As a woman home alone (boyfriend couldn't leave work), I had to be home to let him in and I had not one ounce of uncertainty. Great ant killer! It's been a few months since Jeff came out, and I can say he did a great job--haven't seen an ant inside OR outside in months. Jeff was friendly and diligent, and considerate of our kitties. It took him three visits, as he tried a conservative approach first. Didn't work, so he came out a second time and sprayed more heavily, so we'd have to vacate the house for a few hours--which he'd tried to avoid, out of consideration for the kitties. We had one problem spot after that, which he promptly came out to take care of it--no additional charge for either the second or the third visit. We'd had ants everywhere inside and out for so long (over 20 years), we didn't think anyone could get rid of them so thoroughly, but they're still gone! If and when they ever come back, we'll get Jeff to do his thing again! read more

I have a huge termite problem. Called Jeff at Long Beach Termite and Pest Control for an inspection. He recommended tenting the house for complete gas treatment. I mentioned there was a possum or rat under the house. He reaffirmed all pests would be gassed and die with the fumigation. Jeff did not show up on the fumigation day, Instead, a group of loud unprofessional men were contracted out to do the fumigation. The contracts are given out to the cheapest fumigation companies for a larger profit. The tents had many holes and could not hold the gas properly. I pointed out the holes to be patched on the tents. The technician did not use sufficient gas to kill all of the termites nor the critter that were in the crawl space. I requested verification of the amount chemical used in their fumigation log sheets which they would not provide. In fact, after the fumigation I noticed swarms of termites and much more activity from additional critters that found refuge in the dark, quiet and cozy attic and crawl space during the fumigation. The fumigation contractor and Long Beach Termite & Pest Control were totally ineffective. The crew locked some of the doors when they were supposed to be were left open to allow the gas to circulate for effective fumigation. Adding insult to injury... they took a shovel they used to seal the perimeter of the property. I contacted both, Jeff at Long Beach Termite & Pest Control, and the Manuel the manager from the fumigation company to let them know my concerns but just gave me the runaround and never called back or came by with the termite detector as they said to prove there was no termites in the walls. Now I need to pay another company to re-fumigate with no warranty from Long Beach Termite & Pest Control. They said video proof of termite colonies in the walls is required. I need buy a thermal camera and an endoscope, make holes all over my walls for the proof?... ridiculous! Don"t deal with Long Beach Termite & Pest Control! They are licensed inspectors and not knowledgeable about fumigation,... or maybe they just don't care! read more

Definitely 5 stars! Excellent work and follow up from Jeff. We weren't certain what was in our attic but Jeff identified that we had raccoons. Jeff was very thorough and set up traps for raccoons and also rats to be sure.He did a great job updating vents in all areas of our home and crawlspace. We're so glad we went with Jeff at LB Termite and Pest Control. We heard some scratching in the walls/ceiling of our 100 year old home and got a few quotes. Jeff was by far the most thorough with his initial inspection, taking photos and circling the issues he saw. He spent a day setting traps and adding screens and repairs to prevent future rodents. It was a lot of work, and everything was done thoroughly. He even sent us before/after pics so we didn't have to go under the house or in the attic to see the work.
