Finally tried Jackson's out, and we really enjoyed our breakfasts. My husband had the chicken fried steak with fresh fruit on the side and I had stuffed French toast with fresh strawberries. Both were delicious. According to my husband the fresh fruit was great and FRESH - sliced bananas, strawberries, grapes red and green and mandarin oranges. No canned fruit. Service was prompt and friendly and we purchased two scones for the next day. Atmosphere nice. We'll return for breakfast! read more

First time eating here because we were in Reedsport for another appointment. Eggs benedict was delicious! Get it with the hash browns. And the owner was very pleasant. Would come around to the tables to have a little friendly banter (which I always love). Too bad this place isn't in Coos Bay, we would be regulars! Highly recommend. read more

Lovely spot! We stopped in for lunch in mid-afternoon on a weekday. It was not crowded and we got excellent service. The food was very good.

This place has it going on; from the chicken-fried steak to the veggie scramble to the delicious coffee to fresh bakery products, and the wonderfully welcoming waitresses. We had such a wonderful experience at Jackson Cafe House! From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were visiting friends--relaxed, comfortable, and well taken care of. Cliff and Holly went above and beyond to make our time there special, and the food... wow. We ordered burritos not knowing we were about to receive something the size of a newborn baby (no exaggeration!). They were absolutely packed with flavor--rich, satisfying, and clearly made with care. I have some food allergies, so I went with hashbrowns and eggs instead, but even that tasted amazing. My friend had the full breakfast burrito and loved every bite. I also had a mint tea that was perfectly soothing and really settled my stomach. The space itself is so inviting. Even though it's located just off a busy road, it still felt quiet and serene--like a hidden little oasis. There's a beautiful lawn with trees, and so many different types of seating and chairs to choose from. It truly felt like hanging out in a friend's backyard. Everything was clean, welcoming, and peaceful. Everyone we met, especially Cliff and Holly, was kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. We left feeling full, happy, and grateful to have stumbled across such a gem. Can't wait to come back! read more

I've often stopped here for coffee at the walk-up window, but never ate at the restaurant until last week, when I was going thru town at breakfast time. My litmus test for breakfast is biscuits and gravy, so that's what I ordered. Sadly, like most places I've tried in the PNW, I'm pretty sure they use canned gravy, which is flavorless. Sigh. At least it was hot. However, I will probably go back someday since I like the cozy atmosphere and it's also nice that they give you full carafes of water and coffee to top off your drinks as needed. What could improve? Heh, where to start...we were seated quickly (half empty, so I would hope). Waited for a while, finally waitress came around and we placed order. Food was dropped off - and that was the extent of "service". No stopping by for "how is everything", no "more coffee?" (Apparently there is a one cup limit until you get your check). But ... the eggs. Apparently their cook and I have a different vision of "soft scramble". I pictured slightly undercooked, fluffy SCRAMBLED eggs. What I got was an overcooked, scotched egg patty that had the consistency of rubber. Put a ladle of eggs into a skillet, cook it until browned, flip it over for a second and then fold it on the plate. Between that and the ice cold waffles I was pretty much done. This was the second try - there won't be a third. Especially after the complete lack of any type of apology (after I explained everything very nicely) to our waitress. She obviously didn't care. Good breakfasts.. coffee, keto bowl, vanilla and cinnamon oatmeal with raisins. Excellent service. Cute, cozy, big yellow house. The reasons for only 3 stars.. the bathroom has no lock, just a warning note to knock but when you knock, the door opens!!!! And booths difficult to get into due to the design. They make amazing taco salad here!! Big servings of fresh vegetables and homemade pico type chunky salsa. I always get mine with ground beef but chicken is an option too! The people are kind and the service is great!! Never have to wait too long for a set or for your good food! They have burgers and sandwiches as well! We were driving through and noticed a reader board that said "lunch 11-5" and thought we'd try this place out. We were so glad we did! A quaint spot with a large menu (that includes some gluten free options) and good food. They have a bakery section for goodies to take with you (also with some gluten free choices) that hit the spot. I ordered 2 waffles, sausage, and eggs. I was expecting real waffles, but no, they gave me those frozen toaster waffles that you buy at costco or some place that are super sugary and disgusting. Two waffles implies that you are getting two "normal" sized waffles not two miniature waffles that are more like a sugary donut. Yuck!!! read more

Lady night, my brother and I went to dinner at Jackson's and absolutely loved this place. Cliff waited on us right away, was very nice very friendly and a great guy to just talk too. My brother and I do a coast trip at least once a year and try to eat at a different place every night to help out the locals, but we will be going back to Jackson's again before we leave. The food was very good, good prices, and the bake goods are more than your eyes can take in. If you can't get a good meal there, you didn't order. We were full and yet had to check out the baked goods one more time for the next trip, and I spotted snickerdoodles like my mom used to make. But knew I would have to wait for my next visit. When we paid the bill, Cliff brought us the change and one of the cookies to go. What a great place. If you are in Reedsports or passing through, be sure and stop in. Was really looking forward to breakfast here, but the pancakes were rubbery and undercooked, and the bacon was obviously pre-cooked and then microwaved. They left them in so long that they were hard as a rock and not edible. When the waitress came to get our plates and most of the food was still on it and not eaten she didn't even ask why. It's too bad because we've eaten lunch there and really enjoyed it. Not sure what the disconnect is between lunch and breakfast. read more
