This is really a 3.5 but I'm rounding up. Most everything was good, but the chowder was a big disappointment. Almost no potatoes or clams and not creamy at all. Service was on the slower side because we sat outside. There was live music inside.

Came in for a late lunch. Plenty busy inside. I ordered the salmon tacos but unfortunately it tasted fishy but dry at the same time. The salad it came with looked fantastic and was nice and fresh! Too bad it had so many pickled veggies in it which I am not fond of. My friend had the vegan burger and she said it was ok, a bit bland as well. Service was fine, but It felt a bit cold inside with the door opening/closing so often.

Such a quaint beautiful place to eat. The moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and given a choice of where we wanted to sit even though the sign said "wait to be seated". They have a delicious selection of food and i chose to have the mediterranean naan wrap with fries the wrap was filled with blackened chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, romain lettuce and a garlic aioli sauce. The portions were big and the wrap was absolutely delicious. I had a chocolate stout beer to go with it that was locally brewed and it too was amazing. This public house is dog friendly and even has a doggie menu Overall i was impressed and extremely satisfied with my dining experience. Highly recommend 10/10

Food was delicious, service was great and everyone enjoyed their dishes. My chicken sandwich and fries were great. Good find.

Located in old town, Florence, Oregon, this is a great little hangout spot. Lots of local beers, excellent menu with fantastic seafood choices. I had the grilled fish sandwich which was moist and delicious. My husband had the clam chowder, which was terrific. He also had the salmon, fish and chips, which wasn't unusual twist on an old classic. The service was super friendly. Definitely coming back here.

We were in town celebrating graduates from UO. I'd recommend getting a flight and fish tacos! Service was good and friendly. We also ordered fish and chips (under seasoned) as well as salmon tacos. The salmon tacos were not good. The salad that came with it was fresh and we enjoyed that.

Service is SLOW - pretty terrible. We waited about 15 minutes for them to clear tables, then it took another 25 minutes for the food, even though we ordered as soon as we sat at our table. I did see a table where they sat after us and they got their food way faster. We saw folks who were seated just before us leave the restaurant- obviously they got served pretty quickly and were done before we even got our food. Food was not that good - not worth the wait. Not coming back

The town of Florence is quite small; after walking past about 4 restaurants, we decided on homegrown public house (because we both don't like seafood, which is the main attraction here). The restaurant was cute, with a lot of charm and a fun "pass it forward" beer wall. The food was great, and the staff was extremely attentive to my nut allergy- the chef came out to make sure that all the ingredients in my salad were okay for me to eat. The food was as expected pretty good, though nothing special, but it was a great place to stop by.

We came out here for a date night from the valley and stumbled upon this place. They had a Friday night steak special that my husband decided to try out and we were not impressed but the fish and chips was delicious! The service was very slow and the ambiance was definitely coast town bar vibes with live music. I'd come back for the fish and chips but not a whole lot else.

Awesome !!! We finally made it to Home grown ! We've tried to get there numerous times and every time they weren't open . Well it was worth the wait ! I got the Forager burger and fries and it was scrumptious and the fries were perfect , my wife got a sandwich that she let me taste and all I can say is oh my ! Then even our teacup poodle had the doggie meatloaf ! Did I mention Dogs are welcome !!! We even met Gus the owners new white puppy and our lil buddy had a nice meet and greet ! ( Pic ) Led Zeppelin was playing on the stereo and it was great ! We highly recommend Homegrown without question for their fantastic food, atmosphere and friendly attitude ! Our pup liked it too !

No big deal though.. we walked around the cute old town and worked up an appetite. The place is small and seating is tight. Our server was super friendly and attentive. My husband ordered the surf (grilled shrimp) and turf (flank steak) with a side salad and mashed potatoes. I had the crab encrusted halibut with basmati rice& edamame and a Cesar salad. We started off with cocktails. Husband had a long island iced tea and I had a Jim Beam Manhattan. Cocktails were average. Manhattan had too much vermouth and the Long Island had a lot of sour... But a lot of time I think that comes down to preference. It took a long time to get our food. It was crowded and our server was clearly doing her best. The food looked good. The server said she was waiting for steak knives, so my husband just used the regular butter knife for his steak. The steak was a little tough and lacked flavor. Would have added salt and pepper to it if there was shakers on the table, but didn't want to ask for them. The fish was nice. I didn't really get "crab encrusted". I'm sure it was there but really it just tasted like breaded and fried halibut. The rice and salad were delicious. Overall everything was good. I wouldn't say excellent. And for the price, I would have expected better. But it wasn't bad. There looks to be a lot of other great restaurants that might have a little nicer atmosphere that we would try before coming here again. Overall, I would skip the steak. (Although the chimichurri one would probably be really good). And stick with their flooffy cocktails. The fish was good. And make reservations

We were hesitant because we only really wanted tea but was told no problem. Tables are a bit close together but a lovely set up. After sitting down we were given menus. Made me feel a bit weird about just ordering tea so we looked at the menu and I decided to try their clam chowder. My daughter got their finger sandwich with the cream cheese and mandarin oranges. I ordered my mom hot chocolate. Service was not the best. I asked how their soup was and was told it had won 1st place one year and 2nd the next. We got our tea and my daughter's tea cup, that they had on the table, was dirty. My mom got her hot chocolate and it was barely warm but I decided since I didn't want her being burned I'd just let her drink it like that. Then we got our sandwich and soup. My daughter said the sandwich was good. I went to try my soup and it was also barely warm, actually cold! Then my daughter noticed we didn't get milk for our tea. We weren't asked if that how we drank it. Our server didn't come back to check on us and I had to flag her down to ask for milk and tell her my soup was cold. She apologized and took my soup. We waited for the milk and instead I think she was microwaving my soup and waiting for it to be ready to bring both the milk and soup back instead of getting the milk to the table ASAP so my daughter can drink her tea. Our server was young and maybe inexperienced because service was definitely lacking. My soup came back scalding hot, hense me thinking she microwaved it. Trying the soup, it was definitely not anything special. I hate giving these reviews. We had such an amazing experience the last time we were there. We spent over $100 on our tea, scones and Items in their store. This time we were sitting there thinking what?? We spent over $60 and was so disappointed. The only reason for a 2 stars was because the tea was good, my daughter liked her finger sandwich and we ended up purchasing some of the tea she tried. We will still come back when visiting and giving their tea area a try again. I'll update my review again at that time.

Since we got there so late in the day they didn't have much available, but last time I got a delicious peanut butter bar that blew me away. The staff were all very friendly and seemed happy. There is a small space with tables inside and a cute little garden outside with a few more tables. The prices were reasonable, about on-par for a tourist town.
