I called as soon as the open. They picked up the phone and helped me get a price estimate over the phone. I got off work late but they closed at 6:00pm! I arrived at 5:30 and they were able to get me in. They checked my oil levels and changed my oil on spot and fixed my broken muffler pipe. Nice and affordable. Issues with coolant and break pad sensors. Seems to be working fine. Will update if I face any issues later on. I gave 4 stars because faced issue with the price point. I'm not sure if he thought he could confuse us with 10% checkin offer calculation from yelp and diagnosis refund amount which was a bit disappointing. We trust in you and you start gambling with price point later. I was not worried about total cost but with the discount of 10% and refund of diagnosis which was not taken care properly. Later john provided with oil change coupon for free with calculation issue but will try him one more time because of the car service. Hope they could co operate next time. I could see the same issue popping up again within two days. Need to go again for a fix. read more

I found Leo's & Jo Auto Repair over a year ago. I had a problem with my Range Rover (the first of many problems) on a Saturday and was stuck in Wheeling. I called every shop and garage I could, but everyone was closed....except for Leo. He sent out a tow truck to get my car and fixed the car for me in 2 hours. The service was fantastic, the price was extremely reasonable. Ever since, not only have I brought all my cars to Leo, I have also referred him to all my friends and family. This wonderful family-owned business is great. They are friendly, honest, helpful and service oriented. The owner, Leo and his partner, Mario are the best. Leo's wife Marilyn runs the office and will be your first contact, either by phone, or when you walk in the door. They repaired my transmission back in December, 2018, and did it for half what other big transmission shops wanted. He put in a rebuilt one, since I could not afford a new one. He gave me a warranty, and even drove me home. I highly recommend these guys! They are trustworthy, and do an excellent job. It's as if they were MY family too! I have three cars all more than ten years old that I have been taking here for the last 6 years. I have had brakes fixed, a/c compressor replaced,transmission repaired and lots of routine maintenance done. The price is always good and the work is done well and if there is ever a problem after the work is done they will fix for free. I have complete trust in this shop. They always quote the cost of repair up front and don't do or recommend any additional work. There are plenty of auto repair shops closer to where I live but I go out of my way to take my cars here. I took my car here to have the transmission repaired. Paid $2300 seemed to work fine but less than a year later, the transmission failed. Took it back to have it repaired again, paid $1800. Was told during this repair that there was a 12,000 mile warranty. 4 months later, another issue with the transmission. Was told by Leo that he would honor the warranty. After fixing the transmission AGAIN, he told me that there was no warranty and wanted to charge me. I picked up my car and never went back again. He also fixed my A/C over the summer. Seemed to work fine for 30 days, then no more cold air. Paid $380 to have my A/C fixed to only work for 30 days. Now, I have to pay ANOTHER transmission shop $2100 to rebuild my transmission because LEO never rebuilt it in the first place. THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER SHOP TO FIX WHAT THEY DIDN'T. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! read more

Recently late on a Friday night my battery light went on. I stopped and found out my battery was not charging at all. I found Leo & Joe's and called early Saturday morning.Lucy in the office asked me what was wrong, I explained and she immediately said it sounded like an alternator problem. She said I could come right in as they were open til three and could have it checked. I went there met Leo, who had the car checked out and determined I did need an alternator. Bottom line is they called for the part gave me an estimate and my car was repaired within 2 hours. Nice to find a mechanic who takes pride in their work, does repairs timely at an affordable price. I brought my ford crown Victoria to here for the first time. I thought I had picked a good shop but now not too sure. I was unable to go into reverse be of a bad trans I came here bcc was told it would take up to 3 days to fix. Ended up taking over a week. I got the car back and still had issues with trans it does not start in park still. I have to put it into neutral to start sometimes. The shifter seems loose or out of place when trying to shift. I have problems with acceleration and was told by another mechanic it's due to a poorly put together trans job. The car does not go into 2nd gear smoothly now. I asked them how bad my cars steering was when they did the work and they said it's not bad but now only 3 months later I'm having horrible rack and pinion issues and a horrible leak that I was told could of been noticed along the ago. I'm reluctant to bring my car back just to have them relook over everything after all the issues I've been having so far and all the money I've spent there. read more

But if you have an aging car that you are looking for very affordable, FAIR & honest advice and repair work, and great people and turnaround times on your vehicle....THIS IS THE PLACE!
