    Feel Free To Drive My Tire-Punctured Car To Another Town Without My Permission!!! On Friday, I called to order tires for my car. My drivers-side tire was flat and I put Fix-A-Flat in it so I would be able to drive it to get it repaired. I was told the tires would be available on Saturday and they would let me know when I could bring it in to get them replaced. On Saturday, I checked in several times and when the tires finally arrived I was advised it was too late to fix them that day. On Sunday, I brought my car in first thing in the morning. I had to fill the tire up, because it had gone low again. I was advised it would be about an hour to an hour and a half for the tire to be fixed. I came back about fifty minutes later and my car was not in the shop. I was informed that my car had been driven to the tire shop in Schaumburg and was in the process of being repaired. I was told they didn't have the tire machine there. Isn't this something you should tell people before they leave their car with you? I Was Livid. Is this even legal? Who gave this company permission to drive my car 15.1 miles / 26 minutes away? Who knows what could have happened, or what they could have done to/with the car, while it was not in their garage? SO many ridiculous questions and concerns flashed through my head about this scenario. I called around to other shops, and even to the people in Schaumburg who had my car, and was advised by the District Manager of Jiffy Lube that this should not have been done at all. This was not the policy of their company. I got my car back after consistent calling and checking and immediately left that location. Upon talking with higher-ups, I was asked what could make this situation better. I was unable to decided because they did their job and I got the new tires, so I wasn't looking for anything free, but for them to offer a coupon for an oil change in good faith is a kick to the b**ls. You took my car, against company policy, off the lot and to another city without asking or even telling me, breaking rules of the company and the trust between you and the client, and it's supposed to be fixed by a coupon for an oil change? One of the cheapest services you provide. Who knows where you might take my car when I drop it off for that? Thanks, but your company is not one I will risk taking a chance on again, especially if this is your half-a** attempt at customer appreciation.

    Awful. They stripped my oil plug then denied it. This place is awful. Go to a dealer it's cheaper.

    Fast, polite and knowledgeable. Time wise, for oil change and tire rotation took about 40 min.

    Like many Yelpers I sometimes fear going to the auto shop because I'm worried about being hassled…read moreabout repairs that I might not necessarily need or be upsold on extras for the car that are also unnecessary. After some research on Yelp I found that Tire Boss had overwhelmingly positive reviews for the services that I was looking for and my experience was consistent with others. I bought a car fairly recently and had developed a very slow leak in my front tire. I brought it into Tire Boss where my technician Eric greeted me in a friendly manner and proceeded to inspect my car in a short amount of time. Once he was done inspecting the tire, he explained to me that he found a puncture and quoted me a price to repair it which was lower than I expected to fix it. He did not push for any other unnecessary repairs and I even asked if my wipers needed replacements, of which he provided a detailed explanation of why the replacement could wait with an explanation of when I should get them replaced (when streaks appear). Once I agreed to the repair and price, the team quickly performed the service and I was ready to go -- in and out in less than 1 hour including a short wait. After it was done, Eric proceeded to check me out with an explanation of the services performed including filling up all the tires to the manufacturer's suggested pressure and pulled up the vehicle directly to the door. Overall I was quite happy with how quickly service was performed, the reasonable prices, no hidden fees, not being upsold on any items, and having the same technician work with me from the beginning to end of the process.

Their waiting room is nice, clean, and spacious. There are complimentary coffee and beverages, tv and Wi-Fi (and it's fast enough to stream an episode of Game of Thrones). I took my car in for an oil change, but they threw in a car wash and wiped some of the dust off my dash. They also performed a full visual inspection and recommendations for my next service. I felt the price was fair and not once did I feel like they where screwing me over like I sometimes feel at the dealership. As I left, Dave handed me an envelope that contains a free gift, but I must not open it until the next visit. Went in on a Friday afternoon for a scheduled oil change and was there for 2.5 hours! I was told that my car was done so I paid for the oil change. Side note: I was told AFTER I tapped my credit card that there would be a 3% fee. I asked if I could use my debit card instead. There was an option to select Yes or No to the fee so the lady behind the counter clicked No and said the charge still went through. What is the point of having this option??!! Irritating and somewhat shady. Back to the story: The lady saw me get ready to go and did say that my car would be another 10 minutes because they had taken it to drive around the block. Fine. I waited and waited and my car still wasn't ready and no one was available behind the counter to ask. Luckily another man came out to help another customer and I asked him about my car which he automatically brushed me off with a response "yeah it's coming out." But still no car. Another man came out to help another customer and I asked him if he could check the status of my car which I got an annoyed look from him with no response except he just walked to the back and asked about my car. Seriously?! No one else came back out but I heard someone yell "it's coming out right now" and when I looked outside, my car was being driven out of the garage. The man driving my car apologized and explained that the lady should have communicated better and told me that they were still performing tests which took longer than she told me. "Performing more tests", "driving it around the block"...generic excuses thrown at me while not being told exactly what the real status of my car was, all the while behind an enclosed garage with no visibility to what they were actually doing with my car. I don't like being treated like this especially because I didn't see them treating anyone other customers like this. Like the other bad reviews on here and Google, the service you get here is hit or miss. You might save some money on a couple of things but just think if it's really worth it including the time you lose. For me, it's not worth being treated like this and not being able to trust the level of service I'll be getting.

    These are consummate professionals here at Advanced VTech…read more I seriously don't think there's anything they can't handle. They took what was the tired 13-year-old Fiat coupe with 69,000 miles on it. And they basically turned it into a new vehicle that has 2500 miles on the tires up restoration. Consumables were replaced, marginal items were replaced, new rubber and tuning the engine and the drivetrain. And because they did such a fantastic job it made sense for us to continue forward we had the interior redone and a European retrofitted screen that's actually built for the Fiat 500s. Wouldn't have done that if the work didn't turn out as good as it did. Just took it in the other week for an annual physical. One of the senior guys drove my car in to the facility and he said "she's got something knocking under there". (Nothing I ever heard but guess what? he hit it right on the head. And even that was under the warranty for the work that they had done. I would also add if it wasn't covered the price that was going to appear on the invoice was minuscule for parts and labor no arguments! The hell with comfort I'm driving it out to California to see my daughter this year! I believe the $$$ tab came just slightly over the Blue book value of the car. I couldn't be more thrilled. We talked about a lot of things here a lot of work that's been done on this car please if you have questions talk to them they'll welcome your inquiry and I don't want to mislead anyone.
