have you ever ate cream of broccoli soup that was thick like sausage gravy ... well i have ... it was weird and i ordered a chicken gyro which came with lettuce and tomato and onion .. the pita was hard and cold and the chicken was different it was as if they took it from a whole chicken but some of the chicken was rubbery ... my bosses sandwich was to come on rye bread and it came on white bread maybe they have a new cook ... not too happy maybe i will just stick to breakfast next time read more

Food is what you would expect from a Coney Island. I go with my family regularly, it's close and I usually get great service and good food. No complaints here. read more

Let me start by saying up until now I have had no problem with this restaurant. Prices are fine, service is good, food comes out fast and usually tastes pretty great for a Coney Island. But I just got home from picking up a carry out and I am far from impressed. I ordered a quart of lemon rice soup and a large Greek salad with gyro meat for my family to share for dinner. Let me also say that last night I ordered a medium Greek salad with gyro meat which is enough for 2 people so tonight I ordered a large because the order was for 3 people so I expected the large to be bigger than the medium I ordered last night as any person with common sense would. Sadly it is not. So, clearly they either: A) do not know the difference between the word medium and large B) are scamming people out of an extra few bucks by not making sure there is a clear difference or C) the girl who put my order together (Erica) and the kitchen workers just didn't listen/care. They also did not give me a receipt in the bag and I paid cash so going back in would be a lost cause. Also, who puts the condiment containers ON TOP of the salad? That is not sanitary. The sad thing is I will probably still eat there because I love me some Greek salad and pita, however get you crap together Leo's. I worked in the restaurant biz for many years so I know how it goes. Things happen and people make mistakes. But really? It's not rocket science :) read more

We went here yesterday for the second time now...the coney dogs are good...plenty of sauce and onions. The sauce is not made there...but it is not the kind of sauce others buy at Gordon's. It is Leo's coney sauce. I also had a small Greek salad which was very good also. The reason I did not give them 5 stars is because we went there to purchase one of their Greek specialties...either Mousaka or Pastitsio which are both on the menu...but are not offered anymore! I understand they are not a big seller but...if that is the case that Ali stated himself...it should not be on the menu. All in all...no big deal...we will be back. read more

Food was ok and waitress was nice. But I was charged for a condiment. My son prefers whipped cream on his pancakes instead of syrup. The waitress told me the OWNER said I had to be charged extra to have whipped cream. Not that the $1.00 extra charge was going to ruin my meal. But the point to have to pay for condiments will keep me from ever returning to this restaurant again. read more

The service is something yet to be desired. I have been in the restaurant industry as a server and management for over twenty years I have never seen so many servers on a floor at all times running around looking confused. I am wondering if this is their business model or that they just hire anyone off the street and need that many to keep up with business but either way it is ridiculous and my server still got our order completely wrong. The second time I ate there was through carryout and I was hung up on by a girl named emily because she said she could not understand me? I have a BA in business communications. I have never been told someone could not understand me before. When I came to pick up my food I asked for a manager I was told it was both of their days off? So whose in charge? I think they have some serious revamping to do in their service department. Their saving grace is their cooks. The food was good. I will not be coming back in to dine however till they can get servers who can handle more than a three table section. read more
