After I got my greek omelete, I was told there would be a $0.90 charge for a small cup. It was not on the menu and I should have been told in advance. Do not recommend working here! Worked there for months and got nothing but disrespected. Definitely rethink working here if your interested, one of the worst managements I've ever dealt with. Never once been fired or let go from a job. Loved working here until I stopped being listened to and started being taken for granted. Better than I thought it would be. First things first. I'm not a big fan of the whole "coney island- family restaurant" style of dining. I never have been and anyone who knows me is aware of that. It's just not my cup of tea. With that said, I was, nonetheless, pleasantly surprised by how nice Leo's seemed. My husband and I were both loathe to cook after a long day at work several weeks ago and stopped in for a meal. I had never eaten here before except for a takeout sandwich and fries from here that my husband had brought home once. He had eaten breakfast here several times before with friends, but I hadn't, so I wasn't sure if I was really going to like it or not. As it turns out, I did. I ordered a salmon burger and sweet potato fries while he ordered a gyro with rice (he's a sucker for a good gyro). My burger was great, made with fresh, tender salmon. The sweet potato fries cost a little extra (I think), but they were pretty damn good. I rarely pass up the chance to upgrade or switch to sweet potato fries because I do like them so much when they're done right and these were. My husband said his gyro was delicious and he's pretty picky when it comes to his gryros, so I'll take his word on it. Later, we ordered the Chocolate Temptation Cake to share (it's huge, so it's no problem to share- it can comfortably accommodate two diners, it's that big!) and it was decadent and rich, just like a good chocolate cake is supposed to be. We were bummed that they were out of the gluten-free chocolate cake on their menu (we really wanted to see what it tasted like), but this one rated pretty high with me. I can't wait to try the gluten-free cake sometime. As far as ambiance goes, it's a straight-up family style restaurant, so it's nothing to write home about, but it's clean, spotless, in fact, the service is friendly and they have reliable free Wi-Fi. Definitely affordable and priced for the average consumer. In other words, good service and food that won't break the bank. read more

Very unprofessional and young waitstaff. We used to go here all the time, but since Covid they cannot keep staff. Last time we visited our food day in the window for 10 minutes. We finally asked another waitress to bring it to us. It was, of course, cold. We asked them to remake it. Our original waitress led and said it had just come up, even though we had a view of the food window from our seats. THEY REFUSED TO REMAKE OUR FOOD even though it was cold and the fries were mushy and gross. They acted completely unprofessional. I come here all the time to grab lunch since it's close to work. Staff is always super friendly and food is delicious every time. My go to is the chicken Caesar salad. It's bigger than you'd expect so I get a small. Super filling and their chicken is delicious. May not be the prettiest looking but it's amazing. read more

I go to Leo's all the time and I'm normally satisfied. I always get the garden burger and it always comes like a normal burger. Today I ordered one to go and it was just a patty and tomato slices in a box. I called to ask what happened and was told "the garden burger doesn't come with a bun" despite it being normal every other time. read more

Like many restaurants, Leo's makes certain foods better than others. Two things I really enjoy getting from them are their BLT's and their Leo's cheeseburgers. The BLTs always have a nice port of bacon and the lettuce is always cool and crisp. Much the same for the Leo's cheeseburger. These are served open faced in the container. At first, I didn't like it being served like this. But then I noticed that by serving it this way, the toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles) were all cool and still had a satisfying cool fresh crunch to them, and the bun wasn't soggy (from being wrapped up in foil on top of the burger). I eat at this place quite regularly. This is a Coney Island and should be treated as such. I like the Michigan salad because it has a little of everything- mixed greens, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, cherries, mandarin oranges, nuts, cucumbers, onions etc. Chicken is optional. Came until Leo's Coney island about 3:15 today expect you to meet my aunt and Uncle here for dinner when I noticed a car blocking the walkway. Had to jump over a mound of snow almost losing my balance and falling to the ground. I came in and told the greeter at the door that I was expecting guess and there was a car blocking the door she did nothing about it. When my aunt and Uncle arrive and notice that they did not have access to the restaurant by way of the walkway, they then decided not to come in because of my aunt's disability he could not raise her over the mound of snow safely so she could enter into the restaurant. I approached the sole proprietor of the establishment and told him what the problem was he had little or nothing to say, actually defending the person that was blocking his walkway leading to his establishment. read more

We have tried this place a few times and more times than not have been disappointed. Problems all have been from the kitchen. Three different times we ordered an omelet with Swiss cheese and it came out with American cheese. Another time we were served watered down syrup for our French toast. Have had hash browns that were over cooked, hard and dried out. Couldn't eat them. Today we also have had to return another omelet because of the cheese and the bacon because it was cold and hard, had been sitting for a while. Will not be eating there again. read more

We like the chicken kabobs, spinach pie, and fish and chips at Leo's. I've had lots of different breakfasts there - eggs, pancakes, French toast, etc. - and all were good. I've usually found their service to be friendly, fast, and efficient. The atmosphere is that of a typical Flint coney restaurant- big windows, rows of vinyl covered booths, tiled floor. To me, it always looks cleaner and more organized than a lot of coney places. read more

I love Leo's but for some reason every time I go to the one in flint I get bad service. The wait staff never checks on us and our food is always 20 minutes late. I never get a refill on any of my drinks and it always takes them to long to give us the check when they aren't even busy. I love the food its always good, but they really need to work on training the staff better. read more
