The dinning room is inviting and comfortable. The decore and old fashioned pictures are interesting to look at while eating. We got seated fast and the hostess and wait staff were attentive and friendly. The saĺads and bread, with garlic butter, were delicious and the menu had a variety of good choices to satisfy my craving for pasta. The only thing I didn't care for was the sweetness of the sauce. If it had a little less sugar it would be perfect. All in all, I would recommend this establishment as a good place to eat.

Stopped here on our way to Mackinac Island for my birthday trip. The restaurant is very quaint and nice. Taylor was our waitress and she was amazing! She was friendly, informative and attentive and made us love the place. Their lunch portion of the food is extremely generous and very tasty. A salad came with our lunch and she refilled it for us. We seldom have desserts but we had to have the cannoli and it did not disappoint! We would highly recommend giving this amazing place a try. You won't be disappointed!

Recently checked out Italia gardens while visiting home. Growing up, there were a ton of great local Italian restaurants in the area. Italia gardens was brought up in those conversations. So I decided to grab takeout and see how they were . I got the lasagna dinner, it comes with a giant loaf of bread and salad. The entire meal came out to around 16 dollars. loved the garlic butter with the bread, extremely good. The lasagna was ok, the sauce is a little too sweet in my opinion. If you do order It, make sure you add a meatball. It definitely needed a lot more meat or some kinda of substance. But overall, its a local restaurant and it's worth checking out if you're a anti chain person like myself.

I have to state this because they always do this. When my order was delivered I received the Verdura and one House Salad, not my two Caesar Salads. In addition, the House Salad was on top of the hot pasta and was therefore hot as well. Furthermore, the pasta was swimming in sauce. I called the restaurant and spoke with a gentleman. I believe his name was James. I explained the errors to him. He did not apologize at all. In fact, he told me that I either did not enter the note appropriately, or it did not come through on their end. He said that he bagged up my order. He also said nothing about the salad screwups. I told him that putting cold salads on top of hot pasta is their common practice with my orders, he said nothing. I told him that I was bringing this to his attention so that they could improve this practice. Once again, no response. I said to him that not putting cold salads on top of hot pasta should be common sense. He replied with, "I'm not going to have this discussion with you. You can take it up with DoorDash. Well, I am going to take it up with DoorDash and Sauce just lost a frequent and loyal customer. If he bagged up my order he obviously did not check to ensure the order was accurate. His attitude sucked: no apology and blaming the customer. Disgraceful! P.S. No salad dressing with the House Salad.

The vibe is super cozy, with different seating areas, booths and tables tucked around several fireplaces, plus a bar area. They bring out complimentary garlic bread when you sit down, crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and absolutely delicious. We each got the $16 personal pizza deal with a side salad and drink. The pizza is thin, wood fired, crispy, and flavorful, cut into six slices, about the size of a small at most other places. Definitely a great value. The salad had fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, we added cheese, and the ranch tasted homemade. We also ordered the homemade asiago cheese sticks, which were fantastic. Super crispy outside, creamy and cheesy inside with that sharp asiago flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, refilling drinks without us having to ask and offering the dessert menu. I ordered the peanut butter cream pie and the chocolate mousse pie. Both were excellent. Our total was around $70 for two people, but I definitely added some extras. We arrived just in time to be seated right away, and by the time we left the parking lot was filling up fast. They're clearly popular. They also offer Monday through Thursday specials, so it's worth checking those out. There's plenty of parking near the surrounding stores and restaurants. It's a few miles from the main I-75 exit, but absolutely worth the drive.

The Deluxe Lasagna recipe has changed a bit - specifically; the Italian sausage was not sufficiently sausage-y. And while it arrived very hot, there was maybe two tablespoons of fluid in the bottom of the dish. Still very good, but different. The garlic bread served with the lasagna was a miss. Only toasted on one side and insufficiently garlicky (is that a word?). I also ordered a side of the garlic bread. Properly toasted, but again, lacked sufficient garlic flavor. The salad was fresh, slightly chilled. Only one waitress working the dining room and she was busy. Two large groups and a handful of booths were occupied. Although we arrived after the first group, our food came out first. We finished and left ... and they were still waiting on their salads.

The restaurant has multiple dining areas, including a large main room and a bar area with booths. The menu offers classic Italian dishes made from scratch. The "pick two" pasta option with salad is a great value and portions are generous. Many people were ordering pizza, and it's clearly a favorite, especially with their daily specials. At first, I couldn't quite remember the place--but the moment we pulled up, it all came flooding back. (Not even sure when they stopped being the Generals, but it brought back memories!) We ordered a pizza, and let me tell you--these folks do not skimp on the toppings. The pizza was fantastic. After all these decades, it's clear why Latina is still around: great food, great service, and a place full of heart and history. I can honestly say our dining experience was exceptional, all thanks to our waitress, Michaela. I am no stranger to fine dining. In fact, I have dined at numerous Michelin star restaurants, and I can confidently say Michaela displayed exemplary customer service. My mom ordered soup and salad. However, mom mentioned she doesn't eat iceberg lettuce, Michaela thoughtfully suggested a spinach and kale alternative with the traditional toppings, and it was absolutely perfect. She could have simply said that iceberg was the only option. However, Michaela suggested that thoughtful alternative. That small act of care made a huge difference in our dining experience, and my mom was utterly pleased. What stood out most was that she didn't HAVE to do that. She CHOSE to. That level of initiative and customer service truly elevated our entire dining experience. She was, without a doubt, the highlight of our visit. We were so impressed that we asked to speak with a manager, which happened to be the general manager, just to share how amazing she was. We even mentioned that she should be appointed to train other staff, only to find out that she had just stepped into that exact role. That actually came as no surprise at all.
