I really hate to leave a negative review because this is my favorite Leo's. My service and food's usually great. My only complaint is that I went in to pickup an order today and noticed at least two guys in the kitchen with no gloves on. For the record the guy working closest to the front did have on black gloves. One of them looked to be cutting food and touched his forehead, that's how I was able to see. That was nasty and really disappointing to see given that he's handling someone's food. Total turn off for me. read more

Maybe first update your hours online that said you were open for another hour. Secondly turn off the open signs if you are in fact not open. And thirdly lock the front door. read more

Came in for lunch with my 75-80 year old friends. Seated immediately and brought waters with lemons. Decaf was refreshed frequently and waitress was attentive and smiling. Food was well prepared--simple eggs and loved tomatoes, a grilled cheese, order of sweet potato fries, and an egg salad pita. Food was fresh and tasty. My bill for the pita was 8.15. Left a $3.85 tip. We were there a full hour and it was quiet with steady traffic. Easy parking lot on Hall Rd. Clean bathrooms. Ordered take-out a 1/2 hour-45 minutes before close of business; I had my wife pick up the order. We ordered the "Three Chicken Finger Pita" (Hani) and a Michigan Salad with Grilled Chicken. I had 1 Bite of the Salad and was disgusted. The Grilled chicken was not even fully cooked. I knew I would legitimately get sick if I ate anymore of that chicken if I didn't spit it out. I unfortunately thought I could have faith with the Three Chicken Finger Pita being fried chicken instead and all; so I consumed the three chicken finger pita. I currently am praying to the porcelain gods. That chicken wasn't properly dropped either. I will be returning at open of business to talk to management. read more

We were seated in pretty much an empty restaurant that should have been our first clue. Table was covered in grease, so when the waitress came over, they suggested we just change tables. We moved to another table, it was not greasy but had salt all over the table like it had never been wiped after the last family and both the salt and pepper shakers were all crusty with hardened food on them. DISGUSTING! We ordered our drinks and food. Our coffee came out, luke warm and after three creams didn't lighten up the burnt, bottom of the coffee pot disgusting coffee. We pushed them to the side and never ever seen the waitress again until our food came out. SERIOUSLY! My burger and fries were great! My wife's chili dog bun was a hard as a rock on both ends of it, actually crunched off when she tried to cut the crusty hard ends of the bun off, like it had been sitting out on the counter for a few days, only the area that was soft was the center where the chili was. DISGUSTING! her fries, like mt fries were good. The ambiance was ok, it is a Coney Island what do you expect, but we do expect cleanliness and we finally got our coffees when we were 3/4's of the way done with our food, it was hot and fresh but barely drank them because we had been sharing a water that was brought to the table earlier and we had just about completed this journey we will never do again! LEO's Coney Island needs to know about this place, go to any other one besides this one, honestly thought they had gotten better since February of 2020 when we were there last! Wish I could have given them Negative 5 stars I would have! Might take a few moments and file a complaint with the Macomb County Health Inspector's office. read more

Had a really good lunch here with hubby recently. He said the gyro was better than most! So that's saying something, because my husband is a foodie and knows his gyros. We both had mini Greek salads and I had the spinach pie, which I really enjoyed. There are plastic shields between each table, and they were so clean you almost didn't notice them. There was an employee cleaning them with Windex and a towel the entire time we were there, so they are doing a really good job of that. Service was prompt and friendly. The Coneys are fantastic, but their entire menu is delicious. The worst Leo's in the franchise. I have been to that location 4-5 times and have ALWAYS had a bad experience there. Either the food is bad or cold the service sucks. I would like to say that that was not the case today, service was very good. Last time I was there my coneys were cold, buns were stale, just bad. Today I wanted to use my Leo's points, and again the cashier doesn't know how to work the machine just like the last time I was here. I wanted to use my accumulated points so I told her to get some help to figure out the machine. The waitress come up and says that I can't use my points because it doesn't apply to breakfast specials. I told her that I didn't get the 3.49 special I got the full breakfast at regular price. She said that's still considered the special and would not let me use my points which is BS. I'm done with that place and will NEVER step foot in that place and I highly recommend for people to not go there. There is a National Coney Island in one direction and Bob Evans in the other. I used to recommend this place. They slipped. Tonight my wonderful wife ordered a salad to go, and they said lettuce was in short supply in the area, so they asked if we were willing to pay a $2 up charge and then asked for a To Ensure Prompt Service fee when no one was serving us. We agreed, but when we opened the salad, there was hardly any lettuce in the salad. Their whole crew lost a smidge of credibility with the, "up-charge for less" move they pulled tonight. I came here for lunch. It's not a special menu but it was something quick if you want to get in and out. We were seated right away and the food came out in 10 minutes. I ordered the coney combo. It came with a hot dog with chili fries. It was good. The cheese was melted and went well with the chili. Went to Leo's Coney Island with my son. I dropped off the rental car and he picked me up and asked me to go to dinner with him! Of course I would LOVE to spend some time with him. So he ordered a club sandwich and I ordered a small soup and small Greek salad, hence soup & salad!!! It was good just like every other Coney. The waitress was nice enough. We had to get our own carry out containers though because she was at the cash register chit chatting with someone. If I was in the area and was in the mood for a Coney Island I would go back. Wanted to eat breakfast here and was pulled in by the 3.49 Breakfast Special-2 eggs and 2 meats, hashbrown as posted on the sign. There is no drive thru window but there is a door for pick up. Well, the price is dine in only. Price is double for take out, and the restaurant is very dark, due to the shades to stop the sun. The food was okay, as you would expect it to be, but feel ripped off based on the sign. The sign does say dine in but is very small print. Based on the dine in only specials I probably will never come back. If the special was as advertised for everyone, it probably would be a decent breakfast special. read more

I love this Leo's. They really care about the quality of the food they're serving! Every time we go we're never disapointed. If you are too busy to cook dinner they are the closest to home cooking I have ever found. On top of that, their menu is expansive! Whatever your heart desires you can order and it will be amazing. Their traditional greek dishes are made right and delicious, their coneys are on point, their home cooked meatloaf and hot turkey sandwiches are just like grandma made them, and they're constantly offering new health conscious dishes with popular indredients. They even prepare their saganaki with care and flare. I really enjoy coming here every time and its always a new experience. read more

This place has really gone down hill. Food is just not good for the most part . Lemon rice soup and Opa cheese is good, but not sure if it's cheaper food or the way they are cooking or both . Service is too inconsistent. Some are great others aren't . Even when we are the only people in there . It's close to my home but I would rather drive to country inn and get better food and service .
