While this isn't my normal Kerby's location, I have been here a few times because it was on my way either home or to somewhere I was going too. it's in a strip mall with a Kroger and you can see it from the road. It has a clean look to it with plenty of seating here for large and small parties. This location isn't super busy compared to the one I usually go to, but the menu is the same which I love. Walking in the hostess seated me by the window and grabbed me some water since I'd had enough coffee already. I kind of knew what I wanted and got my "usual" coney breakfast of 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. My waitress was very young but did a good job of getting my order correctly and ringing me up at the end. Very polite and did a fabulous job. Overall a good experience and when I'm on this side of town I don't have a problem stopping back in. read more

Have been coming here for a few years and service and cleanliness has gone down dramatically. Was in for lunch with my family and my son complained that there was "green stuff" and hair in his milk shake. When I looked it was mold and a pubic hair in the whipped cream. I notified the manager discreetly about it and she acted annoyed and tried to dismiss me like I was crazy. i saw her and other staff look at it and were whispering and laughing. I had come in regularly and did not expect that reaction, especially since we are regulars. She came over to the table and said they had just made the whipped cream and they would not charge us for the shake. Gee, thanks. I had a bad experience previously with mold on a bun and figured I'd given them another chance. Never again. read more

I can see why this place is always empty. The server was not friendly and the food was terrible. The chicken my salad was bland and chewy. My Chicken Lemon Rice soup had no chicken and had a very bad aftertaste, so bad that I couldn't even finish it. This was for take out and I will never go there again. read more

This place used to be good, not anymore. Went to eat this weekend and I got very disappointed. Ordered a Michigan Salad with chicken that was nothing to brag about. I had to return the undercook chicken. I waited fir my place for about 10 minutes, actually I saw my plate on the counter ready to be delivered but the waitress (owner) didn't bring it to me for about 10 minutes. Then the chicken was very chewy. I paid $15.00 for a salad (mainly lettuce) and overcook chicken. Too much fir that. Food is hot good anymore, smaller portions and higher prices. Also, when you pay they don't give you an option on tip, the minimum is 18%. I won't come back to this place!!! read more

I met my mom here for lunch yesterday; she works at 26 mile and Van Dyke and with the m59 construction, our goal was to avoid m59. For the most part this was like any other Kerbys that I have been too. The food was for the most part quick and correct. We came on her lunch break, so she only had a finite amount of time before she had to be back. Our waiter was super attentive until we ordered and then he was mostly a ghost. My mom asked for the difference in sizes for the salads. He was not able to describe the difference. You would think this would be a standard question and one he is trained to answer. I ordered the Yero Salad regular size with the beets on the side. My mom order the Santorini Salad regular size. She asked him if it w the s a Greek salad with dill, he said yes. We each got water to drink because of how hot it already was. Our salads came out relatively quickly. My mom was super excited to get my beets because there was none on her salad. Hers was basically chickpeas, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, feta and lettuce. No beets. As we were talking, I mentioned my evening plans. Upon hearing them, my mom recommended that I get a side order of fries extra crispy (note: if you haven't tried extra crispy fries you have no idea what you are missing). It took a bit to flag down our waiter but eventually we were able to order them. And here's where it all fell apart. It took a good 20 to 25 minutes to get the fries. How hard is it to make fries? When we finally got them, our waiter then asked us if he could take our salad plates. We were like, um nope, we need somewhere for the ketchup. He then disappeared without filling our water. It took a while for him to come back. He filled the water and then left the check finally. I'm not sure when I will be back to this Kerbys. But this poorish experience will not stop me from going to other ones. read more

We have been here quite a few times. It's usually somewhere we go to after a race. It's a Coney island. Not too much to really comment on. The food is Coney food. The breakfasts are all American. Carry out was lightening fast, they quoted 5 minutes- and it was. Only ordered koney dogs and chili fries, so it was a fast and easy order to begin with. Koney dogs were good! Ample amount of chili sauce, onions and mustard, great snap of the dog. Chili cheese fries were a beautiful thing, well the few bites my son let me steal anyways. HOWEVER,,, i really do wish they had more vegetarian options (perhaps a veggie burger?!) also they no longer have cucumbers !! this is ridiculous they have no reason to not have them and cucumbers are a crucial ingredient in all salads. shameful. other than these two things this location is phenomenal (the 26 & vandyke location sucks) if these two major inconveniences are fixed i will change this to a 5 star review. edit: recently discovered that the owners have gotten rid of so many key menu items. how will i cope without my weekly p2?!?! they completely changed the menu !!! We stopped at Kerby's for a Sunday morning family breakfast. The food here was tasty, hot, and served promptly. The quality of the food was good. Nothing earth-shattering or over-the-top, but we received home-style no frills breakfasts at reasonable prices. I'd say the food was 3 stars, A-ok. The service we received took Kerby's up to 4 stars. I was going to this Kerbys at 25 and dequindre every weekend in the evening for months. I order the same thing. Pancake breakfast with extra butter. The butter and location was literally the only reason I go there becuz the food isn't great but the whipped butter was. It's the little things that I enjoy. There are millions of coney islands. Each time something was missing and I usually I catch it. This time I returned home and there wasn't any butter in a pancake order when I ask for extra. The food tasted like plastic that they use for the containers. I called and LISA the manager rudely offered only a 10% for next time laughing rudely. When I pick up my carryouts I tip 10% so she should have been honest and said I don't care, it is equivalent. I won't be back. Honestly just go to any other coney island. Terrible food, bad service. Floors are always wet from humidity , very dangerous to walk around and they don't really seem to care. The owner is aware of it but does not fix the problem. We will not be going back there again, especially after two times of terrible service, turned food back that wasn't cooked all the way and they threw it in the microwave. Last evening an order of a simple gyro platter to go and it was missing all the sides such tomatoes and onions, etc. The person could not articulate the simple salad dressing options. I will never, sadly, ever go there again. They failed on each and every visit or take out experience. And there was no stress of multiple orders, just mine last evening. I'm a coney dog fiend yeh I want to try them all. Kerby has decent coney dogs (they are a 3.5 star but no halves here) with the following comments: buns- good, dog - standard, chili sauce good but not as tasty as my favorites Phoenix or National. Onions are cut a little large sounds picky but on coneys, big onions can overpower flavor. The best are cubed small and rinsed in water so not to be too powerful. Solid coney but not memorable. The bad- ordered a cup of chili. God I hate beans in chili and there's have plenty. Beans overpower the chili taste. Wife didn't ask if they offer it w/o beans. Hope they offer it or Kerby may go on my back burner. Wife had the chicken wrap- very good with zucchini fries. My son kept stealing them. Really a good tasty alternative to potato fries. We carried out so to service and cleanliness comments. Kerby - better than most but I won't say memorable. Safe choice and a big chain with many locations. read more

The food is exemplary and i can honestly say i've never had a bad experience. sometimes the high school kids cause problems, but the general manager always makes up for it. i think her name is alesha. she is constantly swooping around the store ensuring that her waitstaff is making her customers happy and when they aren't she is quick to correct and go out of her way to do so. my server, Mary, was extremely kind. she knew just how to make suggestions about food. i love this kerby's and is fun, friendly atmosphere read more
