The Food here is very delicious and so on point every single time! They have never failed us on how amazing their food taste. The ladies that answer the phone and the waitresses are so sweet! Staff and Owner have let the place turn into an absolute Zoo. I was grossly overcharged once for a very basic carryout- some of those women will scam you for a better tip. I've waited at the bar for dine in and was actively ignored for over 10 mins (when they weren't busy- weekday, during the day). Then they acted like I was an inconvenience. Asking for menu/ silverware isn't out of the norm.. Waitstaff seems to need a lot of coaching and they enjoy complaining about EVERYTHING behind the bar, mainly how little money they're making... One waitress belittled someone in my party for "eating all that?!". Said waitress was quite obese and person in my party is actually extremely physically fit.. I've had not only a hostess cut me off in a tight space and actually run into me, but also a waitress elbow me from behind while I ate while sitting at the bar. Running into a paying customer is never acceptable. They need to let you move first and be aware of the space they're intruding on. I've witnessed a bus boy and fellow patron play AWFUL music LOUDLY on their phones while sitting next to me.. which isn't normal nor should ever be tolerated by staff. Waitresses are smug and always in a rush to get you out.. Owner remains observant and disinterested tucked away behind the bar through it all. The wife and I were there for lunch today and saw a beautiful family(who happened to be African American) completely ignored by their waitress while she waited on customers all around them for a good 15min eventually causing them to get up and leave.We love the food here but if this is how they are going to treat people of color we will not be coming back!!! read more

My first time here, and I realized this was where my (late) best friends wife worked! She wasn't working yesterday evening when me and my husband and 1 year old tornado came in, she just had his funeral the day before so she was off a few days, but I can't believe I didn't come in sooner! I'm not a diner frequenter usually. I'm just such a picky eater that we end up arguing and I don't like what I've ordered, bag it up, and he eats it for left overs. Everything sounds good on the menu, but this time I asked our waitress what is the top 3 ordered/best items. So the dinners all come with soup, salad, entree, and jello or rice pudding. Great deal for the price if you ask me! So we both got salads with their homemade ranch, with added cucumber, red onion, and chick peas, and cups of chicken lemon rice. Everything was great! I shared my food with my 1 y/o daughter and she LOVED IT ALL! For entree we chose meatloaf for him, and I chose a big beef chopped sirloin patty. Both came with choice of potato and we chose mashed and mixed veggies, but there's many veg and potato choices. My sirloin comes with red or brown sauce and I didn't know what I'd like so she was kind enough to bring out a cup of each. Red has vegetables and tomato based and usually goes on your rice, brown is like a brown mushroom gravy with lots of mushrooms and was excellent on the meat. Everything came out piping hot and fresh, and please the pickiest of eaters! Then dessert I didn't think I could make it! Me and my daughter got jello's with whip topping, and he got rice pudding... Both excellent again. The waitresses were wonderful, helping worth my fussy little one because she had just come from the Dr and was throwing everything so they gave her crayons and papers and even played for a while to distract her so I could get a bite in lol! The drink were always filled, plates were removed accordingly, and everyone was friendly and helpful. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK! And you can't beat all this for the price ANYWHERE! I wish I took pics but the little one had me extremely busy! They also kindly boxed everything up for me so I could eat it later. read more

Was just at Leo's Country Oven. I had breakfast my husband had lunch. While we were sitting there an elderly man came in with his disabled young adult son. While the staff was plenty busy, several of them still made time to stop by the table to help the young man out. They put his straw in his drink, cut his food, got him ketchup, etc., which allowed his father to eat. The staff were respectful and kind to them both. It really touched my heart to see people caring for others who are less fortunate. Also, the food was great. read more

Although they have now raised the prices of the food quite a bit to the point that it is out of range of the typical retiree, the food is quite good. My problem is with some of the new staff. Upon having a meal all one needs to do is listen to how many people's bill is incorrect. For some reason, somehow a few dollars seems to be added to everyone bill. Of course staff appologies to patrons who catch this and they correct the bill. My last meal there I counted 4 instances where the Patron's bill was slighly higher. My bill was higher by $3.00 dollars after I ordered one of the Specials. I was told that I did not specifically state that I was ordering the Specials and the Waitress incorrectly wrote the price for a full meal instead of Al a Cart. After I pointed out the mistake, the bill was quickly corrected. I just wonder how many people do not catch this Padding. read more

Wanted to make a run out to Joann's fabric this morning and decided to get some breakfast on the way. Leo's Country Oven is on John R between 11 & 12 mile. We've been here before and remember the experience to be favorable. Today I ordered pancakes, bacon and eggs. We got here just before 11am, so they honored their breakfast specials. The ambiance is brightly lit with natural light. More than enough booths and semi booth seating. When we arrived the restaurant was filled with only a few seats left for table seating. We waited less than 5 minutes for a booth. The pancakes were tough to cut. Definitely made with water instead of milk. Not like what I'm used to...however the taste was surprising. They had a cinnamon and nutmeg taste to them. The french toast on the other hand was delicious! Perfect texture and taste. Another hit was the sausage patties. You can tell they were fresh and not pre-packaged. Overall, we will be back. read more

The food was decent overall. A few things to note: The ranch dressing was watered down so it had very little taste, which made my salad disappointing. The appetizer was very small, for the price. I've never seen such small drinks at a restaurant. $3.25 for that small drink was shocking. Our waitress was polite and efficient. But, it took a bit to get the check and to-go container because she was on the phone. My main issue was the fact that the staff stood at the booth next to me, talking with the customers, the whole time I was there. At one point, there were 3 staff members standing there talking. One of them was right next to me talking loudly in my ear. When they finally went back to work, the busboy appeared and decided to tell them about all of his medical issues and upcoming medical procedures. Another local Greek Family restaurant that my parent's have known the owners and employees throughout the years since it's been open. Classic family style decor with an amazing staff and delicious food! Bread basket is always fresh and daily specials are made with love.
