Freshly grated wasabi

First time here. Hubby and I were looking for a good sushi restaurant. Parking is ample. We were greeted right away and were instructed to seat ourselves. There were a fair amount of patrons. The place is clean and simple. Some Japanese decor. One of the servers came over and placed a list with all the foods they offer. You enter the qty. it's not your typical menu were you could thumb through.the pages. We found this out after I told the server, this was our first time here. The service was prompt. We ordered our drinks. He brought it out right away. Followed by our miso soup. Followed by the gyoza (6pcs) with tasty dipping sauce. Shrimp tempura (4pcs) and one onion ring appetizers. The tempura was cooked to perfection. It had a light batter and deep fried to a delicate crunch. I ordered tuna nigiri (3pcs) and hamachi nigiri (2pcs) both were fresh and tasty. Melt in your mouth. Hubby had California roll and shrimp tempura roll. Rolled to perfection. It didn't fall apart when dipping into the fresh wasabi and soy sauce. Our server was also prompted in clearing our table. I forgot to mention, they have happy hour and also they offer daily specials. We will be back

Ordered the spicy edamame, toro, caterpillar roll, garlic roll, spicy tuna and crispy crab. Amazing!! One of the freshest sushi meals we've had in a long time. Will be going back

Came here on a Sunday for lunch, service was on the slow side for it being pretty empty. We ordered quit a few things and shared. They actually had the best takoyaki, not pictured....it was that good! We also ordered the rainbow roll, Oh My God roll, eel nigiri, and the toro nigiri. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and delicious not to mention that everything on the menu was fairly priced.

Staff treated us great i was there with my wife we had a good time and food was great

Came here because we wanted to support local and have some tasty sushi. Nagoya had good reviews and is on the west side so I was a happy camper with that already. The restaurant is bigger than you think as you walk in. You enter and the kitchen and chefs are to the left and dining straight on, and you can keep walking to the back for more tables. We walked to the back as the front was full (good sign for a Friday night!). Our server came and grabbed our drink order and we had some seaweed salad as a small entry. Then ordered a few rolls and nagiri - tuna and white fish and the tuna was superb!!! The toppings they put on that were so perfectly complimenting of the fish... SO GOOD. Won't come again without making sure to order that. Appreciate that it was served with the ginger and wasabi, although didn't have low sodium soy sauce at the table (I could have asked for I think but I didn't). Pretty good prices and they have all day happy hour for some items which is fantastic of course. Left feeling satisfied and enjoyed. I'll definitely be back.

I came here around 3:15 pm on a Friday and got seated right away. The server brought us the menu and drinks quickly, and placed our appetizers without delay. We ordered the miso ramen, poke bowl, sashimi salad, oasis roll, vegas roll, and California roll. I have an avocado allergy, and the server was very kind and ensured that none of our food contained avocado, even informing the chef to be extra cautious. Overall, the food was good. The fish was fresh and came out quickly. The ramen noodles were a bit overcooked for me, but the soup was still tasty. The ambience of the place was welcoming and laid-back, that made for a comfortable dining experience. The lighting was soft, creating a relaxing vibe, perfect for a midday meal or catching up with friends.

So we stopped into this sushi place when we're down in the Peoria area. It's not a huge place and seem pretty standard for a sushi restaurant. The decor was nothing special but clean. We arrived on a Saturday evening and we're promptly seated. Before we could even pick up the menu a waiter came over and asked us if we were ready to order. When I have sushi, I like to take my time a little bit, so that was slightly annoying. I would at least like to order beverages first. We ordered some sake and browsed the menu. We decided to order some nigiri first and then wait to order the rolls after we have received that. One order of tuna, salmon and eel. When that part of the meal came, we finished that off pretty quickly. Wow, they put a decent amount of wasabi under the fish, which gives it quite a kick, but it was good.. During this time, more than one waiter asked us if we were ready to order and we said we would as soon as we finished the nigiri. It definitely felt like they were rushing us. Once we were ready to order, we decided on five rolls to split between the three of us. The Godzilla roll, the Oh My God roll, the popcorn, lobster roll, H3 roll and cherry blossom roll. The H3 was by far my favorite. The cherry blossom and Godzilla took second place and the other two weren't my cup of tea. The Oh My God roll is brought out on aluminum foil and lit on fire for 30 seconds or so, which unfortunately gave it an aluminum aftertaste which nobody found appealing. I would not get that again. Maybe they flamed it a little too long. The popcorn lobster roll was a basic roll covered in fried lobster pieces, which was OK, but not what I was expecting. The prices are reasonable but with so many options in the area, I'll probably try somewhere else next time I'm down in Phoenix.

My favorite sushi spot, I drive all the way from Waddell for it. The jalapeño bombs are SO good!! Sushi is so fresh & the atmosphere is good & the employees are SO nice! Best customer service and quality! Must try!

Love this place, it's our favorite sushi place, and we've tried loads is places. The atmosphere too is comfortable, a little more upscale without the price tag. Try an scallop roll, the spring roll and the fried rice

Delicious sushi, great staff, affordable prices, and HUGE portions!! It's a small hidden gem that's great for outings and even family dinners. They provide you a menu that you can order from which is super helpful and lists what type of filling is in each sushi dish. There's a wide selection of sushi and a good amount of drinks to choose from. The gentlemen who served us was polite and attentive, I think one of the chefs even served the food so it made the experience even better. Definitely will come back, 10/10

This place is amazing. The food is delicious! From the Ramen to the Sushi! I love coming here. The only reason I didnt drop a full 5 stars was because we kind of felt rushed on our last visit. The waitress would take away plates and utensils if she felt we were not using them even though we just had not gotten to them at the moment. Otherwise, this place is highly recommended!

The sushi rolls were very well prepared with fresh ingredients. I wasn't a fan of the spicy edamame. I'm had more flavorful, plain edamme than what they serve up a spicy here. Nonetheless, the staff were wonderful and helpful. The food arrived at the table in a timely manner. The chef sent a complimentary dish to the table. That brought a smile to my face. :-) All day every day is happy hour! Many rolls to choose from. Although the facility is small, that can accommodate groups. There's lots of parking available. Accessible parking and entrance.

Went in with a group of 5 Saturday night. Food was great, servings were large. Would love to post…read morepicture but all of the food got eaten right away. And they have the DELICIOUS fruit shaped ice cream! But, the big reason for the 5 stars is the great service. The gentleman that I would guess is the owner/chef was so kind, and really went the extra mile to make our visit special. Folks, you don't find service like this anywhere anymore - so please support this business. Also, the restaurant was very family friendly! PLEASE CONSIDER: if you go in as a big party and have multiple ramens, they probably won't all come out at the same time. This is the case at any ramen restaurant- ramens are time intensive to make. This has happened to me at the myriad of ramen places I've visited, so just be aware.

Service was pretty standard, no fake pleasantries but not rude at all. We both got the Tonkatsu ramen combo with a drink and 2 dumplings. Mini got hers without green onion, I had mine with green onion. Dumplings were deep fried, tasted pretty basic. But it's not like they said they handmade them so it was as expected. The ramen was a little salty, but the soup was very flavorful with nice depth. Definitely would eat it again. It had pork which was okay, not tough but nothing remarkable. The noodles tasted pretty good, not over cooked with a decent chew to it. It came with corn and a soft boiled egg. The soft boiled egg was so good I should have ordered extra. It was cooked exactly how you'd want it to be for your bowl of ramen. The place was pretty good, I'd definitely come back again and try new items. It closes at 8 but I guess they stop ordered at 7:15, so don't try to stop in super late. Also, the parking lot has signs that say no backing in. That's how I like to park so I parked nearby. It's located within a large parking lot, so it doesn't look like parking would be tough unless the church and restaurant parking nearby are also full.

My wife got a bowl with eel and that eel was cooked to perfection. Would have loved more eel sauce but could always ask for more next time. The sashimi appetizer was probably the best part, fresh, nice thick cuts, and it even came with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. The chicken katsu was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and came with a good amount of salad. The ramen, though, was kind of disappointing, $9 for basically instant noodles and half an egg. The shrimp fried rice was solid, not greasy and a good portion. The spider roll had way too much batter, so you could barely taste the crab. The tuna bomb was small, just a bite-sized tuna-avocado roll, but the tuna pieces were pretty generous. The chicken karaage had good flavor but the batter was a bit thick, and the asparagus roll was just okay. Overall, it was a mix of hits and misses. The sashimi and fried rice were definitely the stars, especially with that fresh wasabi. Give it a little improvement here and there, and this place could really turn out great under the new ownership.

We started with the Ahi Tuna Crispy Rice, which was perfectly crispy with fresh, flavorful tuna on top. We also ordered the Hamachi Sashimi, which melted in your mouth and tasted incredibly fresh. For sushi, we had the Sake Roll and added the seared miso butter, which took the salmon to another level and was one of our favorite bites of the meal. The highlight of the night was when Chef David surprised us with one of his specials: seared yellowtail. It was absolutely incredible--lightly seared, buttery, and packed with flavor. If it's available, don't hesitate to order it! For our signature roll, we tried the Harumi Roll. It was good, but after seeing and tasting more of the menu, we both agreed we would probably order the Yellowtail Trio instead next time. To pair with dinner, we had the Montepulciano, and it was an excellent choice. Smooth, flavorful, and a perfect complement to the sushi. Harumi continues to be one of those places where the quality is consistently outstanding. Between the fresh fish, creative dishes, and attentive chefs, it's hard to make a bad choice here. Once you sit down you'll realize that this is a restaurant where you're having several random servers taking care of you. So once we finally decided on our choices everything came out fairly quickly even with there being a half full restaurant. We started with some pork gyozas which is one of my husband's favorites & he was happily pleased... they were very fresh. We also had some of the tempura shrimp & onion which were both perfectly cooked without being greasy. As for the sushi we went with the shrimp tempura roll which was some of the best, the rice was cooked perfect plus everything was balanced just right. The first thing that stood out was the beautiful interior design. The space feels modern, stylish, and inviting, making it perfect for a date night or even a solo dining experience. The aesthetic bar area creates a great atmosphere, and while we chose to sit inside, they also have a lovely covered patio for those who prefer outdoor seating. The food and customer service were both excellent. Portions were generous, flavors were on point, and every dish we ordered was enjoyable. We started with the Heart Attack, garlic edamame, and shrimp tempura appetizers. The garlic edamame was especially memorable--I loved the addition of sesame oil, which added so much flavor and made it stand out from the typical version. To drink, we ordered green tea and a Sapporo on draft. The Sapporo was light, crisp, and airy--definitely something I would order again. For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Sensei Roll, the Screaming "O" Roll, and a nigiri plate from the happy hour menu. Everything was delicious, but the Screaming "O" Roll was the clear highlight of the meal and a must-order in my opinion. Some of their specialty rolls are $50/roll!!! I repeat- FiIFTY American dollars per roll. I don't know that I've seen prices that high even in Scottsdale or Las Vegas. There's no reason that this casual sushi spot should be charging like they're off the coast of Japan in an elite cliffside restaurant. The food is very good, but it's not "I need to finance this meal", $50/roll good. Also.. I asked for the WiFi password (literally titled "Haru Sushi Guest") so I could work on my laptop if needed, just to be told they were not allowed to give out their WiFi password out to anyone (even the staff aren't allowed to use it). Kind of silly to be gatekeeping something as simple as WiFi in the year 2026. I would have loved to make this my new working lunch spot, but between the egregiously high prices and the WiFi witness protection program, I'll be skipping it next time.
