Nice place,workers are friendly. BUT there needs to be a limit on how many washers a customer can use, especially on busy days. I was there the other day when a 60+ years old woman came in and proceeded to use 7 washers. She would stand in front of a washer that someone else's clothes were in, hands on hips waiting for the person to empty the washer while it was still had a few minutes to go. 2 washers were out of order and there were people attempting to do their laundry and waiting to use a machine. PLEASE PUT LIMITS ON HOW MANY MACHINES ONE PERSON CAN USE, SO EVERYONE CAN USE A MACHINE. read more

This place is dirty!! Majority of the machines have been out of order for years. The employees will shove your large loads of laundry into a tiny machine and call it a day. I would never trust them to do my laundry. They're more worried about having their friends come up and sit around outside chain smoking their cigarettes and running to circle k. I've patronized this laundromat for almost 3 yrs. and am generally satisfied but lately, it seems like the owner is not keeping up with repairs to equipment. On a recent visit, I noted several machines "out of service." Out of 21 washers, 7 were out. Out of 24 dryers, 5 were out. Not a good percentage of working machines. Some are recent breakdowns and some are celebrating anniversaries. Some of the machines out of service are the ones that cost less and as a result, patrons end up having to spend more money to use bigger machines. Worst business experience ever Went there on Tues September 26 2023 Bought a 10.00 laundry card that was invalid. The clerk Shirley said to me she can't help me . That I have to come back later and talk to Amber. Another customer heard me complaining that I was just ripped off for 10.00 and he offered me his card.To add insult to injury Shirley questioned the man and asked him was he sure? His card was 7.79 so it still didn't not give me my 10.00 back.I thought at one point I was in the twilight zone this random customer showed me more compassion than the laundromat representative. My dryer broke and the laundry piled high. We searched for places on Yelp and this place had good reviews, so we checked it out. They were pretty spot on. It's not coin operated so you'll have to get a card and load money onto it. This was new to me but wasn't challenging. There were only one or two broken machines which isn't surprising given the frequency of use. It does impact a bit because of the fact this place is small. It looks, feels, and functions like laundromats do. Clothes get clean, dry, and you go home. read more

The equipment, when working (7 out of 21 washers are currently broke down..this dilemma forces patrons to spend more money on more expensive equipment..so on Wednesday, you're supposed to save .50 on one machine, only to wind up paying $2 more on another one..smiles don't save you money), isn't wiped down very often (when it is wiped down, Windex is used..nothing close to Lysol), very little social distancing going on (place already lacks decent square footage)..both which are bad considering the current times that we live in. Poor on-site management, the business is also ineffectively ran by an unconcerned owner that lives in Illinois. There is a $20 minimum laundry card load (they use a card system instead of quarters to operate said equipment) if you are using a credit card. I go to The Wash House Cafe near West 150th and Lorain now, it's a little further away..but worth it. Clean environment, plenty of WORKING MACHINES (small to large), friendly staff, equipment wiped down every 30 minutes or so, every machine has a credit card reader, meaning no minimum dollar amount to spend. This place is great! I have never used a laundry facility until now and the free wifi had me sold. For sure it helps I can do my work while at the laundromat. My clothes have always come out clean and it doesn't cost too much. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because I washed a load once and a few of my shirts were ripped up. Leo's Laundromat I saw a sign a few weeks back advertising free wifi. I needed to wash my comforter and immediately thought of this place. Lou K and I both brought our dirty loads (pun intended) here on a Monday afternoon. The interior is cute with a 50's vibe, including vinyl chairs and reproduced vintage kitchen tables. You don't need quarters here, just cash which you can put in the x-changer machine (yes, x-changer machine). The attendant knows the regulars and spotted me as a newbie immediately. She called me honey a dozen or so times and reminded me of a cross between my country grandma and a former coworker named Aida from my days at Subway in Wooster, Oh. We fit my bedding into one of the giant washers. I used two separate dryers for the next part. I believe the entire process cost about $6. It took about an hour, but I used the wifi while I waited. Is it the cleanest place in the world? No, which I can't understand because you would expect plenty of access to soap and water. Also, a lot of thought was placed on creating a comfortable environment when it comes to the free wifi and cute décor. So why not spiff it up with a good detail? I wouldn't give this place 4 stars except that I've never seen a "nice" laundromat; I believe all of our expectations are lower for laundromats over other types of retail businesses. I have been utilizing the facilities here approximately 4 years now. In the beginning it was clean, the machines were well maintained and the staff for the most part was helpful. Up until now.....my only complaint was that regardless of what the staff says...The only washing machines that have hot water is the machine's on the back wall. Trust me....I have checked on countless occasions. But that is not what has prompted my review. I came in today. 13 driers out of order. Seven washers full...ready to be emptied. Then a customer asked for assistance with a washer that is not draining. The custom asked what his options were. Staff tells him...."it can take 15 minutes to couple hours". What?????? A couple hours? Your kidding me. I believe Leo's needs to step it up, or I will be finding another place to wash. read more

I chose this destination due to two items. A recommendation from a friend and asking Siri for a 5 star laundry mat. I have never been to one and all I new was I wanted a clean establishment. It was beyond my expectations on the level of cleanliness. I was addressed right away and walked through the process. I always thought they took quarters so I believe that gave me away as a newbie. I was asked what my needs were and explained my options. The attendant was friendly, knowledgeable and exceeded expectations I would have set for a laundry mat. I drove 7.9 miles to go here. My first time in here dropping off my dads laundry. I'm not sure of the young man's name working the attendant desk but he was so nice. The customer service he provided was excellent! The prices for laundry and folding are totally worth it! He promptly called me only a couple hours later to say they were ready for pick up. And this was on a holiday weekend! I have been using Leo's for a long time and until recently never had a complaint . About two weeks ago I had a brand new pair of jeans get ruined by a washing machine as someone left contaminents in the machine . Then a few days back I washed cloths and after getting home I noticed a bad smell in all the clothes . I went back and the nice woman let me rewash all the clothes at no cost , but they still have an oder . I suspect people are washing things in these washing machines that are leaving the units contaminated such as rugs that are extreamily filthy or rags from a cleaning service . Not a fan. Came here because I have no power. I brought a roll of quarters and they don't accept them it's a cashless system so you have to use cards. There's a $20 minimum to load a card with a debit card if you can't give them cash to put on a card. read more

Not sure how it got 4 stars but it's far from that...first, they only have one 77# washer. The attendant said the 55# washer would wash two queen comforters at once but when the cycle was done, it was obvious it didn't wash well (even on a hot cycle with tide)---this makes sense as another review mentioned hot water doesn't work in some of the machines! Second, good luck with the dryers...they are all small so you can only put one queen comforter in at a time. Third, if you're lucky, a dryer will be available..nearly every dryer had an out of order sign on it. Apparently you have to hold the door closed to get them to start too. First time here, don't usually go to laundromats but I will not come back to this one, unless some serious maintenance was done to get their machines working properly. Also tried to get a refund on putting too much money on the card you need to operate the machines but so far it's been MIA. The only positive thing about this place was the attendant who was helpful given the issues that need to be addressed by the owner. Needs a good update on all accounts. read more
