One thing off was that she couldn't give me a total over the phone, but whatever. They are located east bound on Flagler right before 67 avenue. It's spotless in there with a wide open kitchen. The pizzas were extremely hot and heavy. You can tell they're made fresh to order not frozen. Warning! The meat lovers is seriously for meat lovers lol. It's a layer of sauce, pork, ham, pepperoni, ground beef, and mozzarella cheese. Heavy!! I couldn't finish my slice since I started this one second. Very delicious though. The D'luxe was my favorite - green peppers, mushrooms, onions, ham, sauce, black olives, and mozzarella cheese. I was confused because I've never been told that before, so she told me again that she was unable to tell me because she "couldn't put it in the system" at that moment. She told me my order would be around $14-$15. I said OK. I remember reading this from previous reviews that they do not tell you the price over the phone. Strange.... The pizza is good. I decided to try out a different neighborhood family-owned pizzeria in my area. As most of you know, I'm a pepperoni gal so an extra large pie of a sizzling pepperoni pizza pie is exactly what I was craving last night when I ordered delivery. I will say they arrived very quickly and were also open late. To me, the dough could have been a bit crunchier. I felt that many times when I tried folding my slice it would droop down because it was mildly soggy. Also, the pepperoni rationed out to about two toppings per slice which is borderline dismal for me. I do like that it wasn't too doughy and was on the thinner side. I have a copy of the menu now so I will try their pases dishes on another night and update my review accordingly. It's a no frills kinda spot that delivers in the gables and west Miami area. I can't believe it's taken me this long to eat at Leo's pizza. I've passed this place 1,000 times and finally decided to give it a shot. I was definitely not disappointed. Super friendly and welcoming staff. The pizza was delicious. Cooked perfectly with the right amount of sauce and cheese. We also ordered garlic rolls as well which were pretty tasty. First, the place needs a thorough cleaning - both in the customer's dining area as well as at the counter and, from what I could see of it, in the kitchen. Second, the pizza was not very good. I'd say marginally better than Casola's, but that's not saying much. I'd rather stick with the chain place or get a frozen pizza from the supermarket. I've been having pizza here my entire life. Ever since I could remember my dad has been getting pizzas from here for Christmas Day and it's actually part of our Christmas Day traditions. Leo's has been owned my the same man and he is the the baker of the pizza. He knows my dad from always ordering on Christmas and my brother's baseball games. Pizza dough is fluffy, airy and delicious. The garlic rolls however seemed old and very salty. I think perhaps they were frozen and had been defrosted as they did not have the consistency of fresh dough like the pizza. We literally had to rub the salt off the rolls to eat a few. Extremely good NY pizza that I grew up with during my high school years. I was introduced to it by a longtime childhood friend in the area and he and his family always got an amazing combo of hamburger and onion. I know it may not sound too appetizing or may even sound gluttonous, but trust me, this place does those toppings better than anyone and makes it work. We would eat this stuff to re-fuel after football practice. They also have a great plain cheese pizza and their other toppings are tasty along with their garlic rolls. Overall Leo's is a very reliable staple serving Coral Gables, South and West Miami areas. Leo's has amazing pizza, with a nice crust and great tasting ingredients. I've tried almost every pizza they make and my favs are the extra cheese or the Hawaiian. Also,the garlic bread is YUMMY and the calzone is great, it comes with 3 cheeses and ham (lacking a little on the ham), it is yummy and HUGE for $7 (small). Although the pizza, garlic bread and calzones are DELICIOUS, the pasta dishes and sides (saldas) are NOT delicious. I tried the spaghetti with meatballs and it was simple pasta with no flavor sauce on top with a meat patty that tasted like something i use to get in the elementary school cafeteria. I ordered a salad once (5 bucks) and it was lettuce with about a tbsp. of parmesan cheese and 4 croutons. All in all, the pizza, calzones and garlic bread make this a 4 star place. Went to Leo's for the first time after seeing great reviews. I ordered a medium pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni and the garlic rolls with cheese. Both were good but I've had better. The cheese they use on both the garlic rolls and the pizza is delicious! The cheese made the rolls very good but they weren't very garlicy maybe the plain garlic rolls would've had some more garlic but this kind of disappointed me. I've tried a few entrees from Leo's and they're always pretty mediocre, but last nights caeser salad was just plain gross. It literally was doused in dressing. I had a difficult time differentiating between what was chicken and what was lettuce. It basically was a caeser dressing soup, A.K.A. not appetizing. After picking at the parts that were semi edible, the back of my throat was burning from the excessive amount of dressing I had swallowed.
