Stopped for a quick lunch with family and I'm so glad we came here! I got hot dogs and my family all got BBQ. The chili for the hot dogs was homemade and delicious! Everything was great quality! This place has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside by the fire so we were cozy. The staff were super nice as well. Overall we will definitely be coming back!

I love the look of this place and all the outdoor seating! The staff is very friendly! The food is pretty tasty also! Bbq, Dinwiddie dog, wings, ribs, and more. Check them out if you're down this way!

The pulled pork was quite good and I was given a generous portion. The BBQ was a vinegar based sauce which tasted great, but personally I prefer a thicker sauce. Slaw was quite sweet, pretty much sweet cabbage(still tasted good). The fritter was fried good, but didn't really taste like much in the inside. Drink was included in this combo meal. For $12 it's an amazing deal with great portions. Food is always quite good, I would come back again! Food: 7.0 Staff/service: na Value: 9.0 Overall: 8.0/10

Bbq was flavorful, baked beans had hamburger in it, mac n cheese tasted like mom makes and was cheesy. The family pack gives you a lot for your money. Large container of bbq, and 2 large sides w 4 buns. Cute outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Only negative is they only have a port a potty for the bathroom.

I've driven past this place for a couple years watching them grow from grand opening to fuller and fuller parking lot. Finally I decided to stop and check out what everyone else seemed to know about. I was driving by right at the right time of the day for lunch and when I say this is the best bbq in central Va, I'm not saying it lightly, I've got Kansas City roots. Heads up, try the chicken wings and pork bbq, Alabama white sauce and the mac n cheese! Sheesh! If I drive by during operating hours I'll be sure to stop more often. Very cute environment, great delicious real home made cookin', helluva great playlist playing during our visit, clean, good seating!!

I have so enjoyed this new restaurant! The place is beautiful the people are absolutely excellent and the food is exceptional. At this point I think I've had almost everything on the menu and love at all! The hot dog is Virginia made hot dog in Norfolk picked up by the familyThe place is beautiful the people are absolutely excellent and the food is exceptial. At this point I think I've had almost everything on the menu and love at all! Everything is made daily and they know how to make a hot dog the right way and the barbecue is all done daily and it is delicious absolutely love it. They did a beautiful menu for new years Eve with black eye peas and stewed tomatoes that was amazing! The only bad part about this restaurant is that their only open Friday Saturday Sunday and that's just cuz I would like to have it more often but there starting up right now in getting their legs underneath them and I think that their soft open has been amazing I've been there almost every week and will be going back again this week! Amazing new restaurant that I am so glad is around the corner from my house so support this upcoming local business and I don't think you'll regret it!!!

For such a little place they pack a heck of a punch. They have ribs, BBQ, wings, collards greens, beans....so much. I got the BBQ sandwich with coleslaw. It was super good! But it still needed a small thing of vinegar they gave me and of course some hot sauce. Now I'll say I'm a lover of NC BBQ so I'm a little bias. The baked beans and collards were homemade and were good too. Again, collards were good buuuut needed vinegar. Wings were the freag'n awesome!!!! Tasted like they were cooked in fatback. Sweet tea was good too. Staff was real nice. Loved the fact that they were playing music the whole time. There was this older guy just hanging out playing music :) My momma and nephew even got up and started dancing. We had an overall great time.

The chicken wasn't seasoned. They do offer sauces for the chicken. The service was good. There is limited parking.

This a kinda local place for me and we visit maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Sometimes breakfast,…read moresometimes lunch. Today was breakfast. I really think breakfast is my favorite here. As for our meals, the wifey had a sausage omelette and I had bacon omelette. Both omelettes were filled with meats but maybe slightly light on the cheese. But even with that said it was very good. The potatoes and the Texas toast were also very good. As for the size of the meal - both of us left feeling full and that we got our money worth. A good decent meal. Our server was very sweet and attentive and took good care of us. I will say this as well. Our meals came out very quickly. And the place was not overly full, but had a decent amount of customers inside and despite that I wanna say from the time I ordered to the time it was on my table was less than 10 minutes. Very well done. I give this a solid 4 maybe even 4.5 if that was a choice. So if you're just passing through or heading to or leaving Virginia Beach/Outer Banks or a truck driver stopping in from across the street gas stations, I think you'll find that you'll get a very decent meal here . Like his namesake, Pepe Lepew, that tantalizing smell from the smokers hit me nearly a block down the street. From the little history on the menu, that was one of the reason's LePough started his barbeque stand when he was stationed at Fort Lee- there were a number of restaurants that called themselves barbeque but didn't have smokers working right outside. They either barbequed their items off location or didn't do "true barbeque". Very casual ramshackle joint, but it could easily fit large groups as I imagine them to have on the weekends. Knew I had to go to a graduation dinner, so I just ordered 3 bones of pork ribs and a container of collard greens. The ribs smelled so good I had to try one right away! Succulent, moist, and falling off the bone! Best ribs I've had in awhile! Total for my snack- $10, very reasonable. LePough's specializes in the Carolina mustard barbeque sauce, but I believe you can ask for a tomato-based one instead. You don't need much, the barbeque is pretty flavorful by itself. Can't wait to go back and try more of his offerings the next time I'm in the Fort Lee area. Definitely repeat and recommend!

Again - Well worth the wait. I have to emphasize that because at first glance, there doesn't look like much. There's one buffet stand with a small salad stand at the end, a carving station, and one dessert stand tucked in the corner. I consider myself quite the connoisseur of down home Virginia cooking, and it can be hard to find a place that gets it right, but Nanny's knocks it out of the park. The parking lot isn't jumping for nothing! A lot of the reviews mention the items available in detail, and the menu rotates a little, so I'm going to stick to the highlights. Navy bean soup - outstanding and very soppable. String beans - perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes topped with some hamburger steak and gravy - homemade and melt in your mouth. Crispy crunchy moist fried chicken. Seasoned and tender greens. All the BBQ offerings - traditional and flavorful without doing too much. The desserts? Fresh out of your gramma's kitchen. I did almost take off a star because the banana pudding didn't have any whip or meringue on top, but everything was so outstanding I'll let it slide :) The price is, I think, more than fair for the quality of the food. They also never let anything run out for too long and fresh supply was in and out of the kitchen regularly. Top that off with friendly faces, quick service, and an atmosphere that's more like being at a family reunion than a restaurant, and you've got one heck of a spot for good eating!

Stopped by for the lunch buffet on a weekday. Buffet ran about $15 and we found it to be worth…read moreevery penny. First trip to the buffet, I tried the fried chicken (skin was a little too salty for me, but the meat itself was juicy and delicious), the hushpuppies (so crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside: delicious!), mashed potatoes with hamburger steak and gravy (soooooooooo good!!!), cabbage (good), Mac n cheese (soooooo cheesy and delicious. I could feel my arteries clogging, but that's how you know it is good), chopped bbq (tasty, but I would have loved a different bbq sauce, theirs is a little too vinegar heavy for my personal preference), and a sausage (soooooo good! I could have eaten about 50 of them!). Also had some potato salad and Cole slaw on the side that were both straight out of my childhood in Georgia. My second trip to the buffet, I had to get more mashed potatoes and hamburger with gravy, Mac n cheese, and hush puppies because they were awesome. Added some chicken and dumplings (yum!), corn (sooooooo great mixed with the mashed potatoes), as well as the peach cobbler (I wish the peaches were chopped smaller so they weren't so hard to swallow), apple cobbler (pretty good), and banana pudding (amazing!!!) I wish I had room for a cup of their ice cream, it was all those little cups but they had a bunch of flavors like vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and COFFEE! I'll save some space next time. Everyone we interacted with was super nice and the decor looks like every barbecue restaurant I've ever been in with pig decor everywhere. I really like that They used more spices than just salt. This is one of the very few buffets I've ever been to that. It was not just overwhelmingly salty I also really liked their waiting room for when the restaurant gets too crowded and you have to get put on a list. There was so much seating that I would not have been annoyed standing around waiting for my table. We did not have to this time, because we were seated immediately, but it's good to know that you have options if you're ever here during a really crowded time of day. I will say that the temperature was a little too warm for my likings, so even though a lot of the clientele of a certain age shall we say were very comfortable, we ended up sweating and feeling a bit nauseated by the time it was time to go because it was just so hot. Definitely going sleeveless clothes next time I come here. I cannot wait to come back and demolish their buffet again. It was all so good.

The stuff that my waist line thanks me for not cooking, if you know what I mean... I opted for the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, brother chose the pork chop special with mashed potatoes and pickled cukes and onions. The mains were amazing. The pork chop was huge and thick and delicious, the country fried steak was so good, the gravy on both was delicious. The price was a steal. They were both amazing. The mashed potatoes were also both delicious, definitely homemade and not from a box. The baked Mac and cheese was just okay. It tasted like normal homemade Mac and cheese, nothing particularly special, but then I feel like baking it always just dries it out and sort of breaks the cheese sauce, so I would definitely skip that next time in favor of something else. The cukes were also just okay, we got it to feel like we were trying a healthier option, but will probably just splurge for something else next time. We were a little disappointed though, I do understand that this is a local restaurant and some things are harder to get and keep on the menu and keep in stock, especially if you don't want waste, but we initially tried to order corn cakes but they were out, then rolls but they were out, then went with biscuits. Then brother got the last pork chop plate. They have been out of pickle fries for "awhile now". If you aren't particularly picky about what you want to order, cool. I only particularly like cornbread/corncakes, so I was pretty bummed. The people are super friendly though, and a lot of locals seem to come by for their hotdogs (like, a LOT. Clearly we are missing something not ordering the dogs.) I'll definitely be back on days that I had a really healthy breakfast and plan on breaking my healthy streak with something fried and covered in gravy.
