I found out about Le's Alterations through Yelp. I had ordered a suit for my daughter online and when it arrived it was way, way too big (it was supposed to have been custom made to her measurements, but evidently they switched her with a giant). So, I was in a panic having already spent a lot to have the outfit made and with a deadline for my daughter to wear it to an event. When we first went to Le's I was mainly focused on the middle of the outfit. The waist of the skirt was too big to stay on and the jacket made her look like one of the Talking Heads. I asked Le to take in the skirt and the waist area of the jacket. She had my daughter try it on, pinned it, and told us a date to come back for it. When we came back everything I had asked to have changed was done and the suit was wearable! We took the suit home. When my daughter wore the suit to an event for the first time, I realized that with the bottom fixed the shoulder area looked way too big. This was absolutely not Le's fault, she had everything I had asked her. Since she had done such a good job the first time around I decided we would go back to her for further alterations on the suit. It turns out taking in the shoulders and top of a suit is really hard to do without re-sewing the whole thing. Le pinned the jacket the best she could and suggested adding shoulder pads. With the second round of alterations the suit fits much, much better. The best part was Le didn't charge much at all, even though I could tell it was a lot of work what we asked her to do. She is a really nice woman and really wanted to help us. I appreciate what she did very much and I'll be sure to go back to her in the future. (I also had her alter the length on a formal gown, and that work came out great too, it just didn't fit into my story format.) P.S. Don't forget to bring cash! read more

This alterations place is out of our way to get to, but we don't mind the drive because the people here are honest and give very good advice on what needed to be done, not what makes them the most money. We've been coming here for years even though we moved farther away and there are closer alteration places nearby our place now, we still like to come back here every time we needed any alterations done. They don't try to rip you off by doing unnecessary alterations either. They only accept cash, but that's not a problem at all with the attention to detail and great customer service that we get with every visit. The Lady's at Le's Alterations are top notch! They are very nice and super affordable. I was originally recommended to them to hem a pair of track suit pants by the sales girl at Neiman Marcus. I stopped by at 6pm and they said I could wait or come back in a few and they would be ready. The pants were hemmed perfectly and for only $5. Since then I've taken at least 10 dresses and a few strappy shirts to them. I've had nothing but a fantastic experience with them and have never over paid. If you need a rush they are more than happy to accomidate if they can and there is no charge for that. read more

I bought a Hogo Boss suit and was referred here for alterations. This place was inline with pricing and turn around time.. This is based on calling a couple of shops for estimates and times. I decided to go here since it was recommended by the Hugo Boss store. The alteration work was completed satisfactorily on time for the price quoted. However, the reason for 2 stars is that when I can to get my suit I was told they don't take credit cards. I didn't have enough cash or debit card with me at the time. I had to find a bank during rush hour and come back again...what a pain. Seriously, they don't accept credit cards. This does represent a problem to me since I don't usually carry much money or a debit card. Also, you'd think this would be standard information they store provides...along with the pick up date/time and claim check. Stamp 'NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTS, CASH ONLY' on the claim check...at the top in big bold letters. read more

I bought a heavy three layer dress gown that needed to be hemmed and the outer layer needed stitching. Le costed $65 for the whole thing. Turn around time was about 2 weeks only because I said no rush since I didn't need it for anything. It was done perfectly and she was super helpful. When I picked up the dress I dropped off a pair of yoga pants that needed to be hemmed. Only costed $10 and less than a week of turn around. Didn't disappoint me with the quality either, it was perfectly done. But remember CASH ONLY and you pay when you pick up your item, but the shop is so close to the mall it's not hard to find an ATM. Le is a very skilled professional who does exemplary work in a very short time period and at a fair price. We bought 2 kids astronaut uniforms that needed alterations prior to them using them at iFly flying center in Orlando. These kids were on vacation here and this event was the high spot of their entire vacation and these properly fitting astronaut uniforms were essential to make this a lifetime memory. I bought an expensive swimsuit online and when it arrived, the lining was sewn incorrectly and would show through on one side. I took the bathing suit to Le's yesterday at 6pm and got it back today at 6pm. She did an amazing job hiding the lining and the swimsuit looks great! I will bring anything I need altered here. I took my wedding dress here for alterations. I purchased a tea length dress online but I am only 5'3" so I expected it to be long. I heard it can be very expensive to have a formal dress with many layers altered. I didn't have a big budget to have it shortened so I thought if it was too expensive I would return the dress and try something different. I found out about le's alterations through yelp and I was not disappointed. They charged a very fair price and it was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The job was done perfectly. When I entered Le's Alterations, the lady looked at me as if I was intruding. I friendly greeted her and told her what I was in for. She still continued to be rude and extremely unwelcoming. Before trying on my wedding dress, I thought to myself, why on earth would I want this lady working on my expensive wedding dress?? Called and stopped by to see if a dress could be altered. The lady staffing it said she didn't do alterations but that her sister would be in the next day and would call me. She never called and when I followed up, the original woman I had spoken with told me her sister would call within ten minutes - it never happened. They may be wonderful, but I don't expect to beg to have a business follow through on a promise. For what it is worth, it is a clean store, they apparently offer dry cleaning services and the woman staffing the place was very pleasant. read more

Great service and quality work, I have referred several of my friends to Le's. I got married in May of 08 and one of my bride's maids flew in from NY and her dress was too long. I was getting married in 2 days and Mrs. Le hooked my girl up in less than 24 hours and pressed her dress for her for no extra charge. Uhhh I don't understand how this place has 4+ rating on Yelp. Went there to get my wedding dress altered and the older lady took about 5 minutes top using that chalk stuff to show me where she will cut the dress?! Keep in my mind, my dress has about 8+ layers with a very long train. Also, they quoted me $180 for a bussel and hem without steaming or cleaning the dress. I went with my guts and went to Mrs. Valerie at David's Bridal and I am so glad I did. Mrs. Valerie showed me how some part of the dresses would have been shorter. These people have ZERO customer service skills - no greeting when you come in but the little boy in there had more customer service skills since he smiled and waved at me - and be careful taking a wedding dress here. They may be good at altering pants and things like that, but definitely not a wedding gown. By the way, I paid $214 at David's Bridal for the same work plus they will clean the dress before the wedding. read more
