Our last evening in France! We decided on a fancy dinner and this place seemed to fit the bill. Daughter ordered a salmon dish, I ordered a grilled fillet, and wife ordered a salmon appetizer. They messed up our order and brought me what appeared to be a grilled flank steak. Flavor was ok, but it was tough. Daughter stole my fillet. It was a bit better than my flank, but still not up to my standards. Wife's salmon was pretty good. Over all, a nice experience, but the food quality was average at best. read more

Another wonderful meal for a group of 6. It was a very busy night and only 2 waitresses, but they got us everything we needed. The burrata a was delicious, great wine choices. I wish they had something for kids (and not kid food- but a pasta or chicken dish) overall a great choice when there are so many to pick from. read more

I just have to say if you pass this place up, it is your loss. The chef knows how to add wonderful flavors that enhance the main dishes. I had scallops and a sweet potato mash. This sweet potato was the best i ever had and who would think it goes with a scallop but wow!!! I had a minestrone soup that was the chefs take on it and OMG i am glad he had his take on it as this was the best minestrone soup i have ever had. Service was awesome. The restaurant was turning over from lunch to dinner and owner i think said come in any way. DO NOT pass this place by. Do not judge a place by how many people are in the restaurant. My husband and I went here on our last night in Paris, at the recommendation of our concierge. We were looking for something that 1) wouldn't be booked out same day, 2) would be around €30-40pp including drinks, 3) was walking distance from our hotel, and 4) was casual yet nice enough to dress up for if we felt like it. Our concierge immediately thought of this place and told us about it as if it were his own secret. It was obvious that he personally loved it. An hour later, we walked in and were already excited. The ambiance was perfect and exactly what we were hoping for. It's cozy & hip, rustic & modern all in one. The service was warm, friendly and personal; we ordered a "pot" of wine, one set meal (le menu carte), and one plat total, all to share... which I think is perfect portion-wise for two people. Y'all. I am completely shocked that no one has reviewed the food/dinner here (see Google for more reviews). It was INCREDIBLE. Truly some of the best food we've ever had. For our entree (appetizer) we ordered the veal's head with escargots. Mind-blowing. Left me speechless. Our main courses were the lamb shoulder confit and the semi-cooked sirloin. Again, both were delicious and truly exceptional. The only thing not over-the-top-incredible was, funny enough, the dessert--though still very good, the cheesecake with rice/speculoos crust wasn't something I would pick again. An exemplary meal. We enjoyed every bite. We were bold with our choices, ordering pigs feet with escargot (amazing!!), lamb sweet meats (amazing!!), rabbit (pretty good, breast a tad dry), and duck (amazing!) I'm not exaggerating when I say this was the best meal we had in Paris- I would rush back. The servers were sweet and welcoming to us as non-French speakers, the presentation of the food was beautiful and rustic, and the portions were large enough to fill us up. Our 34 euro menu finished with desserts, which were fantastic as well. I had a chocolate mousse type bar with popcorn and hazelnut on top. Husband had a meringue filled with passion fruit. By far the most disappointing experience of our trip--and we were in Paris when there was is a strike on all public transport. First, the menu was very confusing and no one tried to help us guide through it. But I wish that was the end of our travails. We ordered the mushroom soup as the appetizer. It was by far the most bland thing I have ever tasted. In some sense, I am impressed by how they were able to suck every flavor out of an inane soupe aux champignons. For our main, we ordered the popular burger (€3 supplemental price) and the fish fillet. The burger was the ying to the fillet yang. The burger was so sizable that it couldn't fit in Hagrid's mouth--of that, 75% was a hard brioche bun. Inside the burger were some unconventional ingredients--pickled carrots, hollandaise, pickled onions, no tomatoes, and cheese soaked lettuce--making one last cry to be avante garde. After two bites, I decide to take some mercy on my palate, which at this point, would have preferred the bland mushroom soup ironically. Now the yang--fish fillet. It was even more bland than the aforementioned soup. I am willing to bet that the chef just threw the fillet in a pound of butter. But wait, there is a side of rice--at least I can have that. No. There is a reason why basmati rice shouldn't be made like arborio rice. It was raw, broken, and unsurprisingly bland. To add insult to injury, I was charged extra for a dessert even though after the appetizer and the main, we have had enough. When I protested, I was just handed back the change with a side of merci beaucoup. I would highly recommend this restaurant to someone you hate. read more

For the first time ever i had coconut macaroons and it was delicious. If you go visit Paris i recommend stopping at this place and try their desserts. This is by far the best bistro I've been to in Paris. The menu is accompanied with English translation, and our server is really nice and patient. Food: Amazing! My friend's beef chuck is perfectly cooked, and the mashed potato has a great texture of purée on the side. Every ingredient blends in and makes this dish taste magical. This is the type of cafe/dessert shop you envision being in Paris. Being inside felt so magical! It was raining outside, we stumbled upon it while walking after dinner at Ippudo around the corner - the beautiful display of pastries caught our eye so we decided to give it a try! So glad we did too: I had the citron cream tart (5 stars) and the hubs had the apple pomme cannele (also 5 stars)! What impressed us the most was the fact that the pastries were not heavily sweet, and the fresh flavors of the fruit came out strongly. The only complaint was the cappuccino wasn't made "properly" according to the hubs, and he wasn't impressed by the taste. All in all, it was a great dessert experience. read more

Les Artizans is a fun spot to have dinner. The service was the best I have had in Paris so far. They had a three course meal which allowed my wife and I to explore some different meals. I got the duck main dish, and my wife got the redfish. The duck was some of the best I have had, and the tomatoes in the dish were delicious. My wife wishes the redfish had a bit more seasoning but it was good nonetheless. The desserts we chose from a wide variety of different baked goods they brought to our table.
