I've always purchased my tires at small, independent tire shops, back home in the South. I live in WA, now, and I travel a lot for work, so it made sense to switch to a national chain with good warranties and service. I spent about a month researching and comparing Discount Tire, Les Schwab, Costco, Walmart, and a few independents. Les Schwab seemed to have the better warranties and services in Albany, OR, but their Yelp reviews were a little scary. So, I actually was leaning more towards DT. But, only Les Schwab had the Hankooks I wanted, and the rebate I wanted, and after talking with Jose (who was very patient, helpful, and nice), I decided to take a chance that the Yelp reviews didn't tell the whole story. I ordered my tires through Cesar, who was also just lovely. I'm (so far) very glad I did. My experience was nothing but positive...almost overwhelmingly so, in fact. The young man who checked me in was just as great as Jose and Cesar, but I'm afraid I lost track of his name. Maybe Lance? I talked to about two other people there, also great. I barely had time to check my email before they were finished putting my new tires on. So fast! They let me know the status of my brakes (which matched what my regular mechanic had told me just a week before), and a few other things, and gave me repair estimates. I immediately hit the freeway to test out my new Hankooks, and they drove like a dream. Thanks to the alignment they also did, I was able to keep her between the lines, hands free, for the first time in forever, so that was pretty cool. Obviously, I haven't had to use the warranty service, yet, having just gotten these a week ago, but if the future service I receive is even close to what I experienced here, I don't really see any reason to go anywhere else. So far, I'm really glad I took the chance, despite the low Yelp rating. If anything changes, I'll amend my review, but two thumbs way up for the crew at the Albany Les Schwab! read more

I have been a faithful Les Schwab Customer since 1997. I have purchased tires here due to the great customer service even when a cheaper option was available. But honestly what I have loved about Les Schwab is gone maybe it's the corporate buyout unsure. If I needed my a flat repair, air, or rotation someone always greeted me when pulling up and these small tasks were completed in a matter of minutes, now no one greets customers and last 3 visits have exceeded 90 minutes for a rotation. Perhaps one bay should be reserved for drop by quick services so customer service reminiscent of the past could be provided. This most likely will be my last les Schwab tire purchase. I don't have 2 hours to get rotations done. I come from a generation of grandparents, parents, and my own children getting service from them but that most likely change read more

Had a great experience here. I was driving through town and noticed I had a big nail in my tire. I called ahead and got on their appointment list. After arriving, friendly staff helped me out and my car was in the shop within 15 minutes. They fixed it in short order, free of charge. I came to the service with a flat tire that I had had to drive on for 5 miles. After determining that is was unfixable, I was also told they had no tire to replace it with. These determinations alone took way too long. AND THEY WOULD NOT INFLATE THE TIRE SO I COULD GET ELSEWHERE. Now, I understand the guidelines and why, but there was confusion one person to another during this process. The only option they finally shared was that they could maybe get a tire that size from Corvallis. It is getting late, I live 40 minutes away in a rural area and have no other means to get home. Finally, the great folks at my usual Les Schwab in Sublimity give me the necessary tire number over the phone. Then I walk across the highway, buy the necessary tire from Discount Tire and roll it back across the busy street And the service reluctantly put it on and charged me $40. Avoid this location if you can. Edit to reply: That is incorrect. The lady at the front specifically told me they had to charge me to check the balance because I already left with the tire. I was happy to pay for the other services because that's what I came for that day. It would have taken a minute to check the balance because the tires were coming off anyway for the rotation I was paying for. Dropped off my tire for a flat repair and kept my spare on for the rest of the week. After I paid for my repaired tire and put it back on the vehicle I noticed a steering wheel vibration that had not been there previously. I suspect the tire was repaired but never rebalanced since there were no new weights on the rim. I took the vehicle back in and asked them to re-check the balance on the repaired tire. They said they would have to charge me for a "mount, remount, and balance" just to check their own work. I will not be coming back. The staff is dry and unwelcoming. The tire shop opening across the street does free flat repairs anyway so they will have my family's business from now on. read more

We recently had a dead battery in our pickup truck which had been sitting for a long time without running. We had previously purchased the battery from these folks in 2021. We brought the battery in for a free check up. Our Maxx battery charger could not give it a charge. We were promptly greeted and assured that someone would come take the battery out of our trunk and give it a test. Our battery was DOA. We were given a new prorated replacement within 1 hour. They could stream line their business operations to be more customer oriented. I came in for a tire appointment but it came up I needed an alignment as well. Even though I had the appointment for tires installation, they bump you to the end of the workday getting the alignment in. So I had to leave because this is a waste of time. Les Schwab needs to do better and they were better before but idk about lately. Employee Joe doesn't wear his mask properly and it is not good because I have an infant to take care of. Joe needs to be a better more conscientious employee when in public. read more

When we got back in town we had an appt for somewhere else but they had bad reviews so we decided to go here instead. They were super nice and did the job perfectly and fast! Avoid this store!!!! We have a company account with them and we took one of our company trucks there for the brakes to be looked at and some other services to be done over 1000$ in stuff to be done. When getting the company truck back to our location 6 miles down the road noticed that the brakes were not feeling right and there was brake fluid all over the rear tire come to find out the mechanic didn't close the bleed valve and it lost all the brake fluid leaked out. This mistake could have killed somebody or even you if you were walking across the street and I couldn't use my brakes to stop!!!! read more

Les Schwab in Dallas Oregon told my sister her tires were shot and she was unsafe driving on them. She bought four new tires and took the old ones with her. Took them to her mechanic... guess what? Took a trip to Eugene on i5 and ended up with three nails in my tire. Was unable to get full repair at exit 218 auto shop despite tons of effort. Limped home to Albany and called les Schwab on the way. Terry got me on their overwhelmed schedule and promised to have us out of there in 3 hours. My parents we're having a problem with the brakes on their car , they were going to take it to the dealership who wanted to charge them $40 just to look at it. I suggested les Schwabs has always been good to me. They came by the store this morning to have their brakes looked at, prepared for a brake job turns out that the fluid was just a little low they filled it up no charge and just told them to keep an eye on the fluid level. I came in to get my front brakes done, but little did I know that they also rotated my tires at the same time. One of the tires had what I thought was a flat spot on it and they didn't bother to let me know about. Long time customer, bought tires here since I remember. But never really took good care of my tires. I recently bought a full set with 70000 miles warranty, however I need to get my tires rotated every 5000 miles to keep the warranty valid. Today attempted to get my tires rotated. I was informed that it will take 2 hours!!! So I asked if I could make an appointment, was informed that is not an option. So I asked what to do to get my warranty in good shape, and I was given no options but to waste 2 hours of my day. What a way to avoid customers from keeping their warranties valid. I need to get back to work now. Note. I made the comment about the awful 2 hours wait, and the guy who helped me said: "it is normal because it is summer" I am sure it will normal during the winter too. read more

While attending an out of state wedding, I got 2 indicator lights. I drove in to the Les Schwab next to the church. Roger (I think was the manager) explained the indicator lights and had Omar fix them. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. For free no less. I took my company vehicle into the Les Schwab Tire Center in Albany, Oregon to have my rotors checked, brakes checked, tires rotated and aired up. Everyone was very friendly when I arrived. The mechanic came out and talked with me a few times and was very friendly. When the car was done the mechanic told me that he machined my rotors, rotated my tires, aired up the tires, and checked the brakes (which were fine.) The car was pulled to the front and I left. As I turned onto Pacific Blvd., I noticed a weird "thump" on my back tires. I continued down Pacific Blvd. After about a mile, the car started shaking really bad, so I pulled over. After looking at the tires, I noticed that NONE of the lug nuts on the tires were tightened, not even hand tightened. Luckily I was pulled over next to Beggs Tires and asked for their assistance. They fixed the problem by tightening my lug nuts, airing up my tires, and replacing the stem valve caps that were not put back on at Les Schwab. The ONLY reason why I go here is because my boss has an account there. I personally would never take my car to Les Schwab. read more

AWESOME SERVICE!! I had a FLAT TIRE on my Big Rigs Trailer. It needed look see. Since it was my First Time there, of course I went in the wrong way. :-) Well when you are 65' long, sometimes that can be a problem. With one of the Tech's watching the rear of my trailer, I was able to get turned around & pointed in the right direction. When I checked with the tire repair tech, yo show him the tire, it wasn't flat. (Tires have self inflators with its twin). I thought I was crazy, but Nope he saw the screw in the tread, so he said don't worry, he'll get'er fixed. GREAT JOB GUYS!!! My hat is off to you guys, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! Do not buy tires here anymore! They've gotten so busy that you can't even get a low tire checked in under two hours. They make you wait an hour before telling you it will be a 1.5-2 hour wait. I had some front end suspension work and a cv=joint replacement down on my Jetta at this location. A few weeks later I had a major mechanical issue with the front end of my car that made it inoperable. I called Les Schwab and they covered the tow back to their shop and repaired my car the next day. Turns out it had nothing to do with the work they did previously, but they repaired the new problem for free and didn't even charge me for the tow. I am handicapped and unable to work on cars anymore so I depend on Les Schwab and they have always done me right. read more

THE GOOD: Brought my car in for tire rotation. They said I needed them replaced, which did not surprise me. They also said my shocks needed to be replaced, but could wait a while. I appreciated the honesty in that. The waiting room is nice, and you can eat free popcorn and drink coffee while you wait for your car, which you can see from the big window in the waiting room. They were very fast, and I got my car back quickly. THE BAD: I may not know much about cars, but I do know that it should take more than 20 minutes to install new tires, and balance/allign them. They got my car done very quickly, I paid, and left. I hopped right on the freeway to head home, and found my car pulling VERY hard to the right. If I took my hands off the wheel, I was in the center of the next lane within 4 seconds going 50 mph. I got off at the next exit and came back, and told them the tires were not properly aligned. They took it back, had it for maybe 10 minutes, then told me they had just overfilled the tires but it should be fine now. They told me pulling to one side or the other is perfectly normal in new tires, and after a few hundred miles it will stop. Again, I don't know much about tires, but I'm pretty sure if its pulling to the side and stops a few hunded miles later, it's only because the tires have been worn into the misalignment. But I took my car, still pulling hard to the right. Drove over 1,000 in the last few days, still pulling really hard. Had my friend drive it, he noticed it too and said I needed to take it in ASAP. If you are going any faster than 60 mph, the steering wheel shakes really badly. Currently waiting on my car at a Les Schwab in California, where they said it will be another 30 minutes until they are finished alligning. UPDATE: It ended up taking 6 hours for the California Les Schwab to correct the problem. Apparently this location had messed up the alignment pretty badly. Took the CA location many test drives and lots of tweaking. But I got my car back, and no pull to either side. read more

This review is in 2 parts. The service provided was done quickly and well...however my customer service experience was something different. I had prior experience with Les Schwab before their corporate takeover. Before, it was a family run company with family values. Now, however, it has become a corporate, profit driven monolith, with its only goal to upsell unsuspecting customers with needless goods and services. My mother in law is 83, and on a limited income. It pains me to know that she could not herself bring her vehicle in for service, lest she be subjected to this sort of treatment. Fortunately, it was I who had her vehicle serviced today. I am a retired tool and die maker in the automotive industry...I helped to build what you are servicing, so trying to pull the wool over my eyes is not going to be met with much success. I have had multiple vehicles in my family serviced at Les Schwab...but no more. Other than warranty work...if you actually choose to honor said warranty, our last dollar has been spent in your establishment. anyone reading this review would be well served to go anywhere else but here. read more
