When I went to pay they told me they wouldn't take my money; What?! I then offered to tip the mechanic because he should be compensated for his hard work, but was declined as well. Ok, here's the deal... Les Schwab is a FULL service tire store. I've read some reviews that dis them for taking too long, or charging slightly more, etc ad nauseum. I just wanna say "I love my local Les Schwab", and by extension I love Les Schwab in general!!! I've been trading with them for as long as I can remember, and will continue to do so. Yes, they don't always do a good job of estimating how long a job will take sometimes. But in fairness to them and because they take walk ins, they can't control how busy/backed-up/etc they get. And at least they will try to get you taken care of. Long ago I had a couple experiences with competitors where they left me sitting in the waiting area forever, promised to get me taken care of, and then eventually closed up shop and had the gall to ask to me leave after leaving me sitting for hours and promising to take care of me. Anyways, Les S does very good work at good prices and they stand behind the tires and parts they sell, they stand behind their work, and they will do whatever they have to and can (with reason) to make a situation right! What more can you ask for?? I particularly appreciate that because Les Schwab is everywhere in the Greater Pacific Northwest, and because Les Schwab (the company) and not the individual stores cover the work and parts and tires, and because you're never far from a store, then you are pretty much covered everywhere and anywhere you go. The Bothell store is busy on weekends (my only real time to do things like get tires and brake work), but that's not their fault. And yet again, they always take care of me and I've had to use their unlimited road hazard warranty a couple times, and they just make things right no questions asked and no money out of pocket!!!! The Bothell store rocks, and even when I get fussy when they longer than they originally estimated, they've always done me right and they're always pleasant! read more

Great place to go! Im not sure why there are any bad reviews. The first Les schwab I went to quoted me for over $700 and then I went to this place on the BEH and they quoted me at $543 and some change. They told me that it would take about 3 hours so thats good to know, I was able to walk down to FM because I needed a recharger for my phone since it was dying. I needed front end alignment and the left was bent, so now my steering wheel actually will be straight going down the road! I know they can't be like the ads on tv people, they wont always come running because they can get behind with alot of people going in for the free break checks or free alignment checks. Im so thrilled and happy. Most of my tires are from there, they quoted me with the cheapest tire but I went with mid grade because the warranty is 60,000 miles and that covers flats and blow outs which have been a problem. read more

I paid more for my tires here than in other places, mostly because of the great service they offered me. I was pretty happy with their attention and good orientation about tires and their services. I returned for an alienation and made an appointment previous to my visit. I got there a few minutes before my appointment and did not have to wait at all. It was pretty fast and efficient. Went in today (Saturday) and had my CV boot replaced for my Nissan Murano. Service was excellent. They had my car ready within a couple hours. I had came by here before with a flat and they fixed it for free, even though I bought my tires from somewhere else (moved up from CA). My tread is running low and I will definitely come here to get by new tires. Its funny because Ive been to the Les Schwab up the road in Mill Creek and they charged me to fix a flat and when quoted for fixing the cv boot, they quoted me a much higher price then the one, well, here. Ron was super cool and they also gave me a ride home. Definitely had a great experience the first time and a month down the road, I received the same great treatment. read more

I came in today because the low pressure warning went off on my car. These guys checked my tires for me, discovering that the Acura dealership did not replace the caps on the pressure gauge on two of my four tires. Not only did they replace them for me they repaired a leak. They also let me bring my puppy in to wait with me and have a fun phone charging station by the complementary popcorn they offer. The best thing was that they let me know I need new tires SOON, instead of waiting to tell me, and didn't pressure me in. Their quote included 3 price ranges, good, better, best. Everyone was very helpful in repairing my flat tire, but the women working inside (and several of the mechanics who came in the lobby) did not wear masks, or only put on masks when customers approached the desk. This is unsafe, and against Washington State, Snohomish County COVID guidelines, and even against the signage on the door. read more

Very disappointed, I got my tire fixed with another company and they informed me that one of my front types was a different size to the rest, I got the front tires off Les Schwab when I got my brakes fixed. When I went to Les Schwab and informed them, they just took my car and switched the wrong size tire with a new one. I explained to them that the car was pulling to one side and I skidded on the road when I had my kids in the car, at a minimum I they should have offered more that just a tire replacement and their error could of put my car and my family in danger. read more

Bought a pair of chains here back in February when it was snowing. I tried to put them on my wheels but I don't think I'd put them on correctly so just took them off and didn't drive with them. When I purchased them the guy said we can return them but we'd have to wait until April. He didn't specify anything about them being used at all. I even asked him, and he said just bring back all the packaging. So I go in today to return them and they say they can't do it because I used them. I told the manager that they should specify to people that they can't be returned if they're even put on the wheels for a second, and he just passively said, "ok." I visited Les Schwab to have four tires I had previously purchased online from another company installed on new wheels I had also purchased online, then have the wheel+tires installed on my car and get it aligned. They were awesome, did great work, and fit me in as a walk in customer on the same-day. I had originally attempted to have this work done at a different local retailer (bad choice), and that other retailer made me wait days to get an appointment, and then made me wait hours on the day of the appointment, only to tell me they were unable to install my tires on my wheels, despite confirming on their website and on the phone that they could. This left me scrambling mid-day to find someplace to do the work I needed done. I called Les Schwab, and not only did they come through for me and get the work done same-day, they also did a free inspection of my brakes/suspension and let me know that my rear brakes would need new pads/rotors soon without trying to pressure me into getting work done that day. They were also super helpful with the alignment, helping me know what I needed to do to get my car aligned properly after lowering it. This was my first visit to this particular Les Schwab store, but they will definitely be getting my business again. read more

Several times they checked my car and didn't charge me anything ..and said you still have plenty of wear left. I've brought all my vehicles to this location for 22 years and only had a few bad experiences, which is not a bad percentage. Recently, several of my friends told me that they have had bad experiences there lately and that the location seem to be going downhill. Now I believe them. I went there yesterday and there was only 4 cars in the parking lot (one of which never moved so it wasn't a factor), and 4 customers in the waiting room. "Yay!", I thought, "a light day; this should be quick". I went next door to eat, then just hung out there for another hour. After an hour and a half without a phone call, I thought maybe they just forgot to call me. I went back and was surprised that not only was my truck not done, it hadn't even been pulled in yet. Still a 2/3 empty parking lot. I asked what was going on and was told I was next. 10 minutes later I watched them pull another vehicle in that wasn't mine. There's the first lie. Then I asked again what was going on and was told that 2 cars were done at the same time and mine would be pulled in within a few minutes. It was another 25 minutes before my truck was pulled in. There's the second lie. Then it was ANOTHER hour to swap out my already-mounted winter wheels for my summer wheels, and put two new tires on them. I've had dozens of tires replaced and it never took that long. All told, I spent 3 hours for this after walking in to 3 cars in their parking lot. The last time I spent 3 hours there was before a snow day, when the parking lot was packed and the waiting room was packed. That made sense. Yesterday did not. read more

They are located across the street from us, very convenient. So instead of trying to fix a flat myself I thought I'd let the professionals take care of it. So when I come back to get my car they inform me my lug nut is broken. They blamed the previous technician and quoted me $400 to fix the lug nut. That's pretty expensive for convenience sake. This location is always very friendly. I went in today to see what a quote on two tires would be. They quoted me almost a hundred dollars less than discount tire and would be done with my car in 45mins versus the 4 hour timeline the discount tire down the street told me. Fall has arrived and my tread was looking thin so i stopped by this store for a pair of new tires. They listed best available choices and prices and made my choice. I have always used Les Schwab because of their life of the tire guarantees. During the course of owning Les Schwab tires I have never had issues if I ever needed repairs. They do not try to place blame on unforeseen causes or avoid fixing my tires for any reason, they just fix it and thank me for being a customer. With all the locations they have in the Northwest is nice to know you have somewhere to turn if you have tires concerns. read more

Slow service. Was told it would take 45 minutes to replace two tires one my truck and it took over two hours. I would have come back another day when they weren't so busy. I even called ahead because I didn't have all day to sit around and wasn't in any big hurry to get it done. Instead I miss an appointment because they can't even get close to knowing how long it will take them to replace two tires. Just drop your car off or plan to be there a long time and then you'll be happy when they finish early. They were very polite the whole time. read more

I love this place, they are totally awesome and always help me out. And guess what? All the times they've helped me it's always been FREE! Yah! Whenever my low pressure light goes off I head in. One time they found an allen wrench in my tire... they fixed it for free. Next time my pressure on my spare turned out to be low, the filled all my tires etc for free. The wait time they tell is always incorrect. We dropped off our car this morning and were told to wait about 2 hrs... 3 hrs later our car is in the same place where we dropped it. This happened about 3 years ago. While driving on E-B highway, my right rear tire started to make clunking sound. Lucky it happened only few blocks away from this store. I pulled in and just like the TV commercial a worker ran to me right away. He asked what was wrong and I told him about the sound. After spending few minutes, he found pretty big screw lodged in my right rear tire and air was leaking rapidly. He repaired it for me free of charge and with a smile! I bought my tires from here a year ago and will buy my wife's car's tire as soon as it is needed. read more

Beware! Don't be fooled by the phoney sqeaking brakes tv advert. These guys can soak you for hundreds! More are wondering about some activities about tires in the Bothell area lately. Buyer beware! Another thing is when winter gets closer to carefully check into all season tires only! Most people won't need snow or specialty tires unless you live in the mountains(off road) and use an all wheel drive vehicle. Remember to drive in #1 shift and go slow. I took my car in for an alignment. I was told they could not do my alignment because I needed two new control arm which with the alignment would cost $650. I took it to my mechanic which said there was nothing wrong with my control arms. Not very trustworthy. UPDATE I was introduced to Brian (Les Schwab) who completed the alignment for me. Went to have 2 tires replaced on my front wheel drive car and they insisted my new tires be on the back because its not about traction. They also tell me its easier to control a front wheel slide then a rear wheel slide if traction is lost!!! Lets go to a front wheel drift contest. Oh wait they don't exist. Its pretty basic to know when the rear wheels slide out in a car you can easily steer into it but when your front go out your only recourse is to hit a curb or if you have any skills at all you pull your e brake to bring the rear of your car in line with the front. Yes it is about traction. And yes it is more important to have traction on your front wheels in a front wheel drive car. Understeer vs. oversteer. The only way to fix understeer is to gain control through oversteer. Oversteer in a rear wheel drive car is fixed by steering in to your skid and hitting the gas pedal. Real life situations this is exactly how it is. It is about traction. That is the reason I bought new tires. read more

Bring your nickels and dimes because they are the masters at up selling. Stick to your guns and ask to see the "extremely dangerous" tire. Always a wait to get in even when you call ahead. Plan for $100 minimum over what you have budgeted for. read more

Alright, so I took my aging '96 Accord in due to my concern about a tire that had low pressure. The service dude called me back a little while later and said that both front tires were coming apart on the inside due to poor alignment. He could get me two new tires and an alignment for $380. This sounded a bit on the expensive side to me, so I told him I would check back. He then told me that wait....he found two other tires and he could now do it for $250. I told him go ahead and call me when it is done. A little while later, I got a call saying that the rear brakes are getting pretty worn down. They could replace them for an additional $380. Now I am no automotive expert, but I know for a fact that I have never paid $380 for a brake job. I just shook my head and told them no, I will wait on that, but thanks. So another half hour passes and they call to tell me that for around $1K, they can replace my struts for me, which are original equipment and probably should be replaced due to the mileage on my car. Alright, I am not a mathemetician or an economist either, but I am fairly certain that I went in for a $15 tire repair and that they were trying to help me liberate about $1500 from my bank account on a car that may or may not be worth even that much. Again, I explained my situation and thanked them, but no, I will not be spending that much on my around town beater. So, I was pretty happy with the tires and service, they delivered the car when promised. I wasn't too pleased with the attempt to get every penny out of me that they could. Most honest mechanics will give you a set of options and the consequences of one option over the other. Not so much here. Oh, yeah, and they don't do oil changes...what is that all about? I like to get everything done in one fell swoop. read more

He thought it might be a bad battery and dispatched Jordan to come give me a jumpstart. I was so glad it started (and was not a bad starter or alternator.) Thank you Jordan for coming to my rescue! My visit yesterday was very different than some of the reviews previously posted. I ride, train and show horses so the maintenance and safety of my tow vehicle and horse trailer, especially the tires, is of utmost importance. I had a 1pm appointment and upon pulling up my rig, a gentleman by the name of Johnluke came out to greet me before I barely set foot out of my vehicle. I explained what I needed to have done on my dual axle trailer which I was taking out with horses for a long haul on Friday (I needed Les Schwab determine if a full service was needed at this time or if it was safe to travel). Johnluke dropped whatever he was working on in the shop and spent 30 minutes checking the bearings, doing a "shake down", checking tire pressure, tightening a screw and taking off one of the tires to remove a loose valve stem tumbling inside. He reported the grease, bearings and tire pressure were all in good condition and a full service was not needed at this time. Additionally, he didn't charge me a penny! Great, efficient customer service and a freebie to top it off. This is my second visit to this LS store and I will definitely continue to be a repeat customer and will be sure to encourage my friends and family to give them business and be sure to ask for Johnluke! read more
