Asked for a brake repair and was told the nearest place they could get parts was Colorado. I told the front desk guy to give me a call with a quote and a time frame. In the meantime I went to Lisac's Tire for a quote, they said they could get the parts same day from local suppliers. Just before I went to Lisac, Les Schwab called to give me a quote. Same guy from the front desk, he said it would cost approximately $3,300.00 and they would not be able to get to it this week. All that money for presumably just rotors, brake pads, calipers, and labor. I told him I'd just go to Lisac. Lisac then completed the job in just a few hours for $319.00 and told me my calipers did not actually need to be replaced. I only asked for them because Les Schwab told me I needed them! We were in North Dakota when we realized that we needed to replace the front tires on our class a motorhome. Rather than to get them from an unfamiliar place, we chose to wait until we got to Les Schwab in Butte because we are 40+ year customers of Les Schwab in our home state of Oregon and have upmost confidence in them. We called ahead to the Butte store. They looked up our records online and had the exact tires we needed available for when we arrived three days later. Unfortunately, our experience went downhill from there. We arrived to a shop that was a dirty mess inside and out, and to totally disorganized and efficient service. It took them a full 1 1/2 hours from start to finish to remove the two front tires, and to mount, balance, and replace the new ones. It was not an experience that was remotely akin to those we have had over the years at Les Schwab stores. We would not recommend this particular store to others, particularly for a large motorhome. read more

On July 3, 2025, my elderly mother and I were traveling through Butte and as we pulled into town, our rental car had a warning light come on saying we had a low tire. I pulled into the first tire shop I saw, which had posted hours until 6 p. m. , but they were already closed. I assume they closed early for the 4th of July weekend. I found a gas station with an air compressor, but the tire was losing air almost as fast as I put it in. Luckily while I was putting air in the tire my mom found Les Schwab on google. By this time it was almost 5:30. I called them and the person I spoke with told me to bring the car in, but they closed at 6 p.m. I got there as quickly as possible. They got us in right away, got the tire fixed within a few minutes, AND did not charge me a dime. ! I was so stressed out and they took such good care of us and got us back on the road in no time. They didn't even make us feel bad for showing up so late just before a holiday weekend. We had several more days of traveling and tire held up the entire trip. Traveling from the west coast back to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, we had low tire pressure indicator light twice now. We filled the first time, but when it happened in Butte, knowing we were traveling, the attendants at Les Schwab took us in immediately, hoisted the car up and found a bolt in the tire. They patched us up and had us in our way, complete with fun Montana tourist tips, within 30 minutes, and for a mere $20. Way to go, Butte! Thank you!!! read more

Tried calling because I was having vibration issues thinking I just needed tires re balanced. I was trying to see if they were able to do this kind of service on a Saturday when I would got back from working out of town and how late I could drop it off and still get it done, most places have a feel for how the next day looks I didn't really think it a odd question. I new before calling it was first come service,I was not going to ask for any special treatment or expect anything special just feeling it out because normal people like me also have other things going on not just the store and I was inquiring about a service I planned on paying for not asking anything for free either. Anyways I couldn't even really get the question out at all before getting snapped at by the person who answered for being so stupid as to think you could ask a question about a service while they were busy putting snow tires on. If they were to busy or didn't want to or just un able to do their job they could just say so politely or not answer the phone, that would be better than the horrible rude and unprofessional response I received. If they do not want to be bothered with customers I recommend they close the business so they don't have to deal with tires at a tire store problem solved. read more

Absolutely friendly staff, speedy and quality service, with a nice waiting area with popcorn, coffee and TV. We were traveling from Los Angeles to Glacier National Park, and had to come here for a flat tire. The whole repair experience was painless, pleasant and stress free. The people here were so nice, but they are not enforcing the mask mandate at all. I had to wait a while for my tire to be fixed, and maybe about 50% of the people who came in were wearing masks. No one was asked to put one on. I felt very uncomfortable sitting inside. read more

We had a blow-out on our RV trailer just as we were pulling off the highway at Dillon MT to get gas. The tire was completely shredded. We were an hour short of our destination in Butte and feeling very depressed with both tire stores closed in Dillon at 7:30 in the evening. A Les Schab employee happened to be passing by and kindly stopped to help us put the spare tire on our trailer and checked the tire pressure of all our tired. We were so impressed with his kindness that we got 3 new tires for our trailer at Les Schab in Butte MT the following week. I see all the reviews I am reading are prior to the new management! This stores gone down hill quick. The new managers are running off long time (8yrs) customers such as I, due to "we don't need your business any more" attitude. I started buying tires and wheels from Bob,(prior manager), exclusively for myself and other members of my family way back then with excellent customer service. I needed a new battery and Zach wants to charge me $15 to install for a total of $170. I asked why the installation fee and was told because "I pay my help well". If that is the case, why don't I recognize any one working there any longer and you have the only tire store hiring on line in Butte, Mt. I also called O'Riellys, Auto zone, Napa, Wal-Mart, and Lisacs Tire center,(where I have never bought a tire in my life), they all offered free installation of a new battery. I called Zach @ Schwabs back, Told him what I was offered elsewhere thinking he would comp the fee and he said "go where you got to go". How customer friendly is that? I bought my new battery at Lisacs for $50 less for the same battery,(650cca's), different brand with same warranty. I am now a Lisac's customer along with the rest of my family! read more

This summer we suffered a blow out on a trailer tire while traveling. Our service arrived to put the temporary tire on and then he escorted us to the Les Schwab Tire Company. We decided to replace all four tires in order to have a safe trip from there on. They said we would have about an hour wait as they only had 3 tires in stock and would need another one picked up. We sat in the truck alongside the road waiting, nothing. We watched everyone else come in and leave, including another trailer. We would ask from time to time what was happening. They were waiting for the 1 tire, remember, they had the other 3 but never took us into the lot to even begin the work. No one ever came out to report anything. No one ever offered us a bottle of water. End of story, we arrived at 1:45 p.m. and left their store at 5:00 p.m.!! It was raining and the poor young man was soaked while replacing the tires while remarking that no one ever told him we were sitting all afternoon or he would have started the 3 tires that were there making the last 1 very easy to do. We wrote the Bend, Oregon Corporate Offices of Les Schwab August 26 to report this issue. To date, there has never been a response at all. So, folks, enjoy all the cute Les Schwab commercials but don't hold your breath to see ours. They won't even respond to this no-customer service. Businesses will never get ahead treating their customers like this. This was an $800.00 purchase! read more
