I went to get all season tires and they told me they could have it done in a couple hours. I went in and got a quote and gave them my keys, I then proceeded to wait 3 hours in the shop before an employee came and told me that they got the wrong size for my tires and the only other set that I could get that day was $500 more. I told them that they just made me waste 3 hours of my afternoon sitting in the lobby because they got the wrong size of tires, and all they said was sorry, after they told me that i then had to wait another 30 minutes for them to put the tires back on my car so I could leave. They wasted almost 4 hours my time and didn't even try to do anything to make up for it, i wouldn't recommend going there and I will not be going back. read more

Went in for extenders on duellies and new wiper blades due to issue on blades. Was told by other employees that the issue would be fixed when wiper blades were replaced. Was told after wiper blade were fixed that I would have to travel to dealership for issue to be fixed. Sever lack of knowledge for wiper blades and functions for employees. Would not recommend letting them handle wiper blades. read more

Updated: Original Post: I have been a Les Schwab customer since 1998, although, I have only used the Helena Montana location a few times. I have some winter tires on my vehicle and there is a violent shake when driving over 65 mph, so I took the tires off the vehicle and went to Les Schwab hoping they would check the balance on them for me. These two tires are studless winter tires that were not available at Les Schwab when I needed them so I purchased them from a competitor in Ellensburg, Washington a few years ago. Therefore, Les Schwab would not balance them without a fee, regardless of the fact that I have purchased dozens of tires from them over the last 25+ years and never once needed any of the extra services that you are forced to pay for when you buy a set of tires. Unfortunately, I will no longer be giving any business to Les Schwab ever again, simply because I believe their business model that is advertised about how Les Schwab will bend over backwards to help people, staying open late, etc. is a fares. I figure that in 25+ years I have spent around $1500 in mount and balance fees alone at Les Schwab and the one time I actually need their assistance they want to gouge me for another $36. Ridiculous. But you wouldn't touch them because they had been purchased elsewhere. The invoice you were looking at was from a different set of tires, not the pair that was causing the violent shaking that really needed the help. Will never buy tires from Les Swab ever again. Paid high dollar for tires and got a hole in the sidewall and was told they wouldn't replace it even though I have warranty on tires and it is a almost brand new tire with only a few hundred miles on it. Worst service I have seen from a tire dealership. You get a hazard warranty and they don't honor it. Better off going to Walmart for your tires or any other service. read more

I scheduled an appointment to have some brand new tires installed on some brand new wheels with the TPMS without being installed onto my truck. When I scheduled the appointment in the phone I expressed to the person that I had all the parts: wheels, tires, and sensors (TPMS). Well, when I got there for my appointment the lady told me they can install the tires and wheels and not the sensors. So I asked, "dont you need the tires off the wheels to install the sensors?" She said, "yes". I should also mention that sensors have been legally required for the past 15 years or so. The lady said its company policy to not install sensors unless the sensors were bought there. So let me get this straight, its company policy to not install outside purchased sensors (Im assuming for liability even though I cant imagine there are any "knock off" brand sensors), yet they will install tires onto wheels without the sensors, which would be an even worse liability. So, my complaints are 1) Thats a stupid company policy because sensors are necessary with new wheels. 2) They wasted my time and fuel by bot expressing me this policy when I was scheduling the appointment in the phone. The only good thing that came from my interaction with them is I could tell the lady I spoke to in person genuinely felt bad about the miscommunication. When I got back to my truck I called Kolar Tire located down the road and told them my situation and what I needed and they were willing to fit me in on short notice despite having several appointments. I showed up here at Kolar and sure enough there are several people waiting in the lobby and they already have my stuff in the back getting put together. Ive only been here for 15 minutes. I saw quite a few bad reviews about Les Schwab and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. That was the first and last time going to them. Bought Les Schwab brand tires, the salesman told me they have a 50,000 mile warranty. That's all he told me. I got 25,000 miles out of them. Went in to see what the warranty would do. A very close friend who was a Carroll College student with out-of-state license plates, happened to get a flat tire on her older Honda CRV. She was advised to go to LS for repair of her flat tire, which was supposedly a free service. She got "nailed" for a new set of tires, new set of brakes and suspension work costing over $2,000. And, they wanted to perform others major services for $$$$. We were sick to hear what they did to her. We were driving east of Helena and drove through some road construction. Stopped to get gas and noticed a low front tire. Drove to Les Schwab to see if we could get it fixed and by then we had 2 flat tires. Jeremiah took care of us. Removed, Repaired and remounted both tires and checked the air pressure in the other truck tires and our RV tires. There was no charge! We'll be back when we need new tires. Took my car here on December to get my brakes checked coz they had gone softer 2 days before and then completely stopped working. When they inspected my car, they asked me if my brake pads and other brake components were recently changed and I was like yes because I just moved to Helena from St. Louis 4 months ago and I had changed everything before I moved here. They told me "your brake fluid has oil in it and is contaminated" and gave me a quote of 2200$ that was if they could find all the parts, if not it was gonna cost more. After that, I took it to another place "Meineke" where they told me the brake fluid was fine and the brake master cylinder was the one that wasn't pumping my brake fluid properly. Now that I had two different opinions, I took it to a third place and it matched the same thing the second place told me, they gave me a quote of $300 and now it's running has brakes and Is good overall! I called Les Schwab to let them know that the call they made on my car was very bad and I almost sold the car based on what they told me, called the mechanic in St. Louis everyday to hold them accountable based on what "Les Schwab" told me and the guy on the phone, Shawn was rude. I just wanted to let them know they made a bad call on my car but he got all into defense mode basically telling me "I don't think it was a bad call (like how could it not be if I just saved 1900$) and from now on just take your car to that place." Like thank you Shawn, but I wasn't asking for your permission. I was letting you know you guys made a bad call and mistakes happen. I wouldn't be here typing this long review if he would've just agreed that mistakes do happen and that might have been a bad call instead of telling me "you can take your car there from now on." I bought several tires last winter at Les Schwab in Helena and had a rare bad experience. First they inflated two of my tires to 40 PSI, instead of the recommended 32. They also replaced a bad TPMS sensor at my request. Unknown to me, they didn't replace it with the exact model from Schrader, but used an "EZ Sensor", a kind of universal clone also made by Schrader. Less than a year later the EZ Sensor has gone bad and I replaced it with the specific model for my car. Bottom line: they do good work but you have to double check them. If you need to replace a tire sensor insist on an exact replacement or get out yourself. Amazon has them, and they're cheap. read more

Yikes! I came in here with a flat tire, I could easily see at least 2 nails in it. I told that to the mechanic, but for some reason they only patched one of the two holes. I got stranded with another flat in the same tire 15 miles outside of Dillon maybe 2 hours later. Thankfully the Les Schwab there fixed the second nail hole (for free too!). They confirmed that the tire had only one patch, the patch from Helena. No thanks! I will say, however, that the folks working here were really courteous, and timely. Just not as thorough as I would have hoped! read more

We are from Oregon, home of Les Schwab. When you pull up immediately someone runs out to help you. Everyone is running! In Helena not one person offered to help. We just needed a tire check and they looked at us and went back to what they were doing. Finally my husband went inside to get help and there were 4 guys behind the counter. I was in need of four new tires for my car since winter was coming. I didn't have much cash so some of my friends suggested I open an account at Les Schwab since they did their own credit. I filled out the application and the manager says it will take about 15 minutes for an answer. I waited almost 90 minutes before I decided to check on the status. They still hadn't gotten a response from their credit department. The salesman just shrugged and said "well, we're busy." I left and went to Walmart next door, got a credit decision in 5 minutes and bought four new tires from them. They lost a $600 sale. read more

I was a loyal customer here for years. The manager for quite some time (funny enough also named Kori) was a considerate and professional individual. When he left the store though for whatever reasons, things began to slip down hill. The current sales staff doesn't know what term aspect ratio in relation to tires even means, and has told me that there is no such thing. I have on 3 different occasions went in to have tires put on my Yukon, and all 3 the tires they tried to sell me would not fit my vehicle (stock suspension, stock wheels, no modifications) mostly because they were trying to upsell me on a package that I did not need. I have since decided that I will no longer do business with Les Schwab tires. Like I said, I was a happy customer for years, until they weren't able to read the tire size on my vehicle and find the appropriate tires for it. read more

In my experience...Affordable tires. great customer service. The employees at Les Schwab are very helpful and take the extra step to make sure your tire care needs are met. I was also highly impressed with their integrity. When I last purchased tires there an instant rebate that I qualified for was not applied to my tires and their employees we're adamant about trying to get a hold of me to make sure I got the money that I was due. I was so happy with Les Schwab service and professionalism when I bought my studded snow tires in November 2017. I arrived early morning and was out in an hour. Price was fair and service was very good. Today, Feb 2018 I went back with my '98 tacoma that needed a new battery. Again, in and out! I am not one to complain or say much about a business. However What they did was inexcusable. My husband took out truck in there for new tires. They put too small of tire on the rims and when he was pulling our 5th wheel ( which we lived in for the summers) 2 tires blew out on the truck because they were not the right tires for that size of rim. I almost lost my husband and family as he almost wrecked. It damaged the truck when the tire exploded. We ended up contacting an attorney and they did make it right. Then about 4 months later my Brother in law went there and got a 4 wheeler tire put on and they didn't seat the tire on the rim. I hope they have trained their staff to pay more attention as lives can be lost from these mistakes. read more

Although service has been okay, I've seen the workmanship go downhill over the years, and the quality of the tires as well. I have 5 vehicles and a large utility trailer, and all too often the tires have worn out prematurely or simply fallen apart and these were supposedly excellent tires. I check the pressure in my tires frequently, and after having tires mounted by them, the pressure was almost always different from tire to tire, sometimes by as much as 15 pounds. I think I'm moving on down the road...if my tires will get me there, that is. read more

Worst manager I have ever had to deal with, bar none. Manager, Tim did not listen to what I wanted done and therefore instructed his tech to install a trailer wiring kit after I asked for him to simply run a power wire from my battery to the trunk area. The tech then did not read the install instructions and wired everything wrong. After informing them of this Tim actually put his hand in my face and began walking away until he heard me ask for the number to corporate and he quickly turned back around. I still got to pay full price, of course after his abuse and mismanagement. The other employees were clearly embarrassed by the way he acted and I can only imagine how bad it must be to work for this man. We will not be going to this location ever again. read more

I called Helena Les Schwab this morning & asked if they could do motorhome brakes. The guy asked the size & I told him. He said to bring it in and they would look at it. Cody was at the front counter when I arrived this afternoon, and when I came up to the counter, Cody walked to another counter and told me he'd be right with me. The gal at a desk came up to me & I asked if they had somewhere to work on RVs. She showed me where to park, behind another RV in a bay. I went back in after about 10 minutes & asked if it'd be a while, because it was hot & I'd wait inside. She told me he said he'd be right out. I waited another 15 minutes, and Cody came and asked me to move my motorhome, because a semi was coming in... so I backed up and moved into the next parking area and drove to the front of the right lane; while three other vehicles were moved. Cody asked what I needed and I said brakes, and that someone was supposed to have been right with me. He said someone would be out. Another employee who had been helping move a pickup, came up to me and asked me if I had been helped. He checked inside and came back, and told me the employee was just finishing & he'd be out. Three semi tractor/trailers pulled in & were immediately helped by the staff, during the time I was there (2 workers worked on the first vehicle's trailer tire within minutes of its arrival). After 40 minutes a young man came out & said he'd look at my brakes, then he disappeared for a couple of minutes & came back; he then told me that the brake man said they don't do RV brakes. I asked why I wasn't told that in the beginning & he apologized. I told him I knew it wasn't his fault, but that I shouldn't have had to wait, when they knew I was there for brakes. The young man told me it was the bookkeepers fault, and I said it was not her fault, that I had talked to several of the employees. I moved to Helena 6 months ago, and will never take any of my vehicles to a Les Schwab business. Shameful customer service! read more
