Waited almost 4 hours for AAA to come change our tire on the freeway. We were in an RV. They didn't know what kind of jack was needed and just left us there and told us to call Les Schwab. A quick phone call and 20 min later, Alex from Les Schwab comes with a brand new tire. Replaced the tire and checks all the other tires on the freeway and gets us back on the road. 12 years ago I bought tires for my jeep. They looked up the size that would fit on the rims I bought from them. After I got home and turn3d sharp to get into my driveway I noticed the driver front tire was rubbing on my inner fender, wearing a hole in it. I brought it back and showed the manager and we decided it wasn't going to cause anymore damage and he said he would give me a deep discount on my next set of tires. Fast forward to today when I go to get new tires the manager (a different one) was saying that was 12 years ago. Don't see what difference time makes, they sold me tires that damaged my vehicle told me they would make it right and now trying to weasel their way out of it. Tires were supposed to last for 65000 miles but only lasted for 42000. Final outcome is he knocked off about $100, just like getting them on sale. Had to actually get into an argument in the lobby with the manager just to have him do the right thing and honor their word. Manager I had to deal with is Brandon from the Kennewick Washington location. Me, my mother, brother, daughters and sons will no longer do business there. I went in for my 4th set of tires from Les Schwab in the last 11 years. Everything went as expected. they took my 1190 dollars and set me on my way. I got home to notice I was missing a lug nut. went back the next day and was told I needed a new stud. No one told me that when I paid the bill! I was then told they had to order one which I thought was strange for a tire shop. I'm pretty sure it a standard 1/2"x20. Had a battery replaced, when I called they said it would take 2 hrs and labor was around $100 an HR. I scheduled them at 9:00 am. They showed up at 8:15am. It took less than an hour to change it out, and they still charged me for 2 hrs. I was like 4 blocks from the store. Maybe 3 min drive. When I called about it. The manager tried giving me a BS excuse of. Well I told you it was a two hr charge, and I had to waste time and gas to go out there. (Wtf) If it's a waste of time then retire your service truck, and be in store only. He would only refund half of the overcharged hour of labor. My family has gone through Les Schwab for over 45 yrs, and we have never been treated like this. I will never let this location touch my vehicles ever again. I do not have trust in LesSchwab any longer. I have had my winter change over done at theKennewick store for the last 4 years. The first year. I was told that my front ball joint needed to be done..for 800. I checked them and they were solid and in great condition. The next year i was told my rear breaks were at 2mm and needed changed. Schwabs wanted to charge 650 for this So i ordered new rear rotars and pads. I start to do the rear pads and the lowest was at 4mm. Plenty of life left. I did them anyway. In November of 21 i was told the rear breaks were at 3mm. I figured i would do then this spring. Today i had my summer tires placed and was told my front end was tight and the rear breaks were now at 5mm.. i asked the tech how the rear brakes could have gained 2mm.... imagine this he could not tell me. Im just so tired of the games they play to try and get you for BS services that do not need doing. I will not be going back here and would strongly caution anyone from doing any service that are recommended at this location. read more

I won't give any stars for Les Schwab I brought my car in to get the breaks replaced when I went to Costco to get my tires rotated they informed me my right rear tire only had two lug nuts holding my tire on and my emergency break was not connected when I took my car back to Les Schwab they turned me away the first day until I contacted corporate once corporate contacted the manager he called to have us bring the car in they acknowledged it was there mistake and fixed the issue but would not offer any sort of compensation for my time or the fact that I almost lost my tire and could have seriously been injured or my child or another driver I needed to tell this story somehow so this is my avenue I would not ever go to Les Schwab again read more

They had my tires in stock which was great, but while changing my back left tire they broke TPMS sensor and then insisted I had to pay for the replacement, even though I was already paying almost $800 for tires, I have gotten several sets of tires from them but will never return even if I do have to wait a couple of days for their competitors to get the tires in, the costumer service will be better read more

They put it up in the air, the guy let me look it over with him, diagnosed the likely problem (some old hoses probably bulging)- I told him I could order the special parts myself and fix it myself, and I was done. The first problem I have with this place is its access. Bad enough that it's on Clearwater and it's almost impossible to turn left into the lot, and even harder to get out. As if that wasn't enough, half the time someone parks in a way that half blocks the parking lot. Last Thursday, I watched a guy do it. He was wearing a Les Schwab uniform. Second problem...every time I've had anything done here, it's wrong. I had the wrong tires mounted once...I'm sure it was just coincidence that they were more expensive than the ones I wanted. I had an alignment done, and the truck pulled worse when I left than it did when I came in. I'm not the only one either. Most of the people I work with have sworn off this store. Thursday morning, I took in a flat from a work truck to get fixed. They never called to say when it was done. We called them Friday at noon to find out. When we showed up to pick it up, we had to go through three people to find it. And they charged us $14 to fix it. Every other Schwab I've ever been to does it for free. I only went here Thursday because I thought it'd be free, and it was closer to my office. I won't make that mistake again. read more

Wow! Just wow. I was with my friend in his truck when it started jerking and hopping on the road. He had JUST went to this Les Schwab for service, and get this.... THEY DID NOT TIGHTEN HIS LUG NUTS! They SPECIALIZE in in brakes/tires, so it is beyond my imagination why this place is still open with how much negative feedback I hear and horror stories. Then they turned around and said, "now you need new wheels, so we could get them for you at cost"... Unbelievable. They were going to CHARGE him for THEIR huge mistake. Are you kidding? I told my buddy to sue them...not only because of the damaged wheels, but other damage that I know has occurred. He'll need new hub assembly, struts, etc because of their idiotic mistake. First, I have to say that I would have defended Les Schwab Tires to the death in the past. If ever there was a bad experience that someone had, it had to have been an aberation, because I'd never had a bad experience with them. For many years, I have told people that I would take my car to Les Schwab Tires for any service that they would possibly do. Their service was outstanding. They were a role model for all service industries. But the last three sets of tires that I have bought, and the last 2-3 times I've gone their to have battery or brake issues looked into, I have been more and more disappointed. The last set of tires that I bought from Les Schwab marked the day when I came home and told my wife, "I think they've lost their special edge. They're no different than any other tire shop, and they are no longer worth paying extra for that little extra--because they don't provide that little extra anymore." Details: They used to run out (yes, RUN out) the front door and great you at your car and ask what they could help you with, even if it was just have the tire pressures checked. Now, you park, go in, and wait. And wait. They used to be extremely experienced at what they did, and very reliable. The last time I went there, they told me I had a problem with my alternator, and that my battery was fine. They said they don't work on alternators, so I should take it to my regular mechanic (see my review of Hi-Land Garage in Kennewick). I took it to my mechanic and in 30 seconds he said, "Here's your problem--" the battery terminal on the back of the battery was BROKEN OFF and leaking acid. Kind of an obvious thing for a professional to miss. They used to be clean cut, friendly, and you could see them hustle around the shop. Now, their employee's are generally nothing special, and they just kind of meander around from vehicle to vehicle. I would give them 1 star, but I don't think that they are horrible, horrible, horrible. But they've lost their edge. They are, sadly, nothing special anymore, and there are competitors that try harder than they do now. That wasn't so in the past. I've seen the end of an era. We'll miss you Les. These people are great! The afternoon before Thanksgiving day as we were driving from Portland to Spokane, we had an undercarriage problem that prevented us from driving at speed. I needed snow tires. Another tire business promised but couldn't deliver, so I went to Les Schwab on Clearwater in Kennewick. I was there less than 1 hour, of which 25 minutes was spent on the phone with my company car fleet management department getting approval. Less than 30 mins later I was out the door with new studded snow tires on my car. Pretty amazing this time of year when everyone is getting snow tires on. In my opinion, Brian and colleagues are some of the best in the business and Les Schwab is lucky to have such dedicated and loyal staff. Employees here are always busy and hustling around, yet they do so in a friendly professional manner. And they stand by their work. I would highly recommend this Les Schwab store. read more

I love this place! Went three days ago for new tires for a truck and they honored an estimate from 6 months ago and even gave us info on a better tire that was Not to their benefit. Went again this morning for a brake inspection on another vehicle and was in and out in less than 20 mins. With an estimate about 1/2 of what I would have paid in the another part of the country with a much lower cost of living (I've been here only about a year) needless to say, they have guaranteed they have a new perm. Recently went to Firestone at Columbia Center and Steve's Tire on Clearwater but was treated very poorly by both of them! Firestone was just terrible upfront and to my face while Steve's was on the sly and stole money from me!
