I was having issues with my BMW and took it to the dealership to see if they could identify the problem. Long story short, their high-pressure approach of telling me to "just buy a new car" left me questioning whether I could trust their recommendations. They did tell me that the lower control arms needed to be replaced. I asked around to see who others trusted and was referred to Strictly BMW. I called and explained that my car was making an awful squeaking noise and that I wanted a second opinion. I told them BMW had said it was the lower control arms, but they insisted the problem was the upper control arm. I paid $1,800 to have the left upper control arm replaced--and the moment I drove out of their parking lot, my car was still making the exact same awful noise. Fast forward to my visit to the Kent Les Schwab. I was greeted by Sean S., and I explained everything that had happened, including the previous diagnoses and repairs. Sean took the time to inspect my car, and after about 15 minutes, he told me it was, in fact, the lower control arms. He ordered the parts and said they could take care of it for me in a few days. When I brought the car back, they were extremely busy, but they still had the lower control arms replaced in about two hours. And, finally, the grinding noise was gone! I'm obviously thrilled that my BMW is finally quiet again, but what I'm even more grateful for is the feeling that I can trust the team at the Kent Les Schwab. Sean was professional, knowledgeable, straightforward, and genuinely took the time to figure out what was wrong instead of trying to sell me something I didn't need. Ladies don't go here. Not only did they waste two hours of my day off for a simple tire repair. They lied and said they couldn't repair my old tire and then tried to sell me a $200 new tire and claimed that they couldn't mount it for me. The story changed when I put them on the phone with my husband and then I was walking away with a repaired tire for free.. when I asked to speak to a manager they had no explanation as to why there was so much miscommunication between me and them and them and my husband! read more

Got a flat on the way to work, I got my spare tire on and got to this Les Schwab. I pulled in and as soon as I got out a guy came out to me and was extremely rude and unfriendly. Told me over a 2 hour wait if they even got to it today. I asked if there was anything he could do sooner and he said "it's busy, what do you expect?" I parked and went inside anyway to wash my hands. I tried waiting for someone inside to help me, but after 5-10 minutes no one came. I finally looked up another Les Schwab and luckily there was another one 1.6 miles away. I left this one and went to the other Les Schwab. They were so much friendlier and helpful. Drove over a nail and drove to the nearest place that could fix my tires which was this Les Schwab. Said they'd be able to fix it and kept my car for 2 hours. Got a call saying they wouldn't be able to fix it because the tire is almost bald and due to that they wanted to replace all 4 tires, since all 4 tires have to match. Quoting me $1200. Thought it was a red flag as i just had my two front tires replaced a month ago with my dealership. The guy who i talked to didn't have a true response (avoiding the question) when i questioned him and he started using car terms to throw us off (likely because we're girls and trying hard to scam us). Ended up taking my car to the dealership the following day and only had to replace that 1 tire since the nail was too close to the sidewall of the tire. The guy tried to scam us and wasted our time. If they didn't have my tires on hand they could've just said that rather than trying to unnecessarily charge us $1200. If i didn't know any better i would've fell for it. read more

Writing this review almost a year after getting service done here on my tire. The customer service was great but I realized it was a cover up for ruining the stud/lug nut as shown in attached picture. I came in to get my tire patched since it was leaking air. The service was quick and the employees were great. To my surprise, they ended up not charging me for the patch. They did a great job on the patch job since I haven't had issues with it for almost a year but after needing to do some work on my car recently, I learned the reason why they didn't charge me was because they stripped my lug nut. I came here to get a $30 patch on my tire which turned into a $300 repair since they decided it was ok to over torque the nut with the air gun. Take it from me, tires are the only thing between you and road, don't go to a place that decides to take shortcuts on the work like this place. read more

I had a tire blowout while driving through Washington, I called them for tire availability. They had the exact same tire I needed in stock. I had no spare or Jack, and it was just before closing time. When the tow truck finally arrived, I called them we were on our way. This location is TERRIBLE. I've had nothing but great experiences at all other Les Schwabs and will go out of my way to others if need despite this one being very near my house. The employees here don't actually have any desire to help and will find any reason to try to charge you an obscene amount so that you'll opt not to have them help you at all. One employee told me by law I had to replace my TPMS sensors which haven't worked for 7 years and never stopped any other les Schwab from performing the services requested. It wasn't the fact that this service would cost $300, the money is not the issue, the problem is the inconsistency with which they operate. Prior to this instance I had a couple other terrible visits, solidifying the fact that I'll never return to this location. I also called in ahead of time to understand the cost of a service which I was told would be $100, once I arrived in store the employee told me it would be $162. When i expressed my concern he just shrugged and said well it is what it is. I visited this location for a tire that kept getting low and each time I was told it was my rim. I purchased all new rims and my tire still went flat. I went to another location and they immediately told me it was the valve stem which they replaced and I've had no issue with since. All in all, just a terrible location, do yourself a service and don't go here! read more

Took my '94' Ford Ranger there for front brakes (at least 4th time for brakes there since I owned it) which also requires new bearings and seals ($782.36). They got me in and out within a few hours which was appreciated. Picked up the Ranger and as I was driving away, I heard a clicking sound coming from brake area. Took it back and they "supposedly" re-inspected it, but didn't find anything wrong. I began suspecting it was automatic 4x4 hub related of which both sides had failed at different times many years prior. I ended up selling the Ranger within a few days as I didn't want to put any more money into it as I had owned it since 1996 and it had 207,000 miles (but was still very reliable). The new owner who happens to be a mechanic found that the anti-rattle clips were not installed on the brake pads. REALLY? A simple fix and he was happy as a clam in a bed who just got a great deal on a very reliable 4x4 truck. The fact that they didn't install the clips, nor did they discover it the 2nd time I brought it to them is pathetic and says a lot about the store or at least their brake technician. read more

The workers here folded me I needed new front brakes - ordered all of the parts to have it done !% a family member. My front brakes are at about 80% and the rear brakes are at 20%. If I was to follow through and have Les Schwab replace my brakes they would've wasted so much of my money. They just scam people into wasting money. I came to Les Schwab this morning a soon as they opened 0800. I was intending on getting a tire swap (done for free as long as ties are mounted), but 15 minutes after they started working on it, I was informed that the tire I was about to put on the car were only at thred 3 and so they tried to sell me new tires... I couldn't afford new tires at the time, so I asked that they put back on the wheels I was currently using... Well that was a waist, but then one of the technicians fucked up my lug caps, and I was asked to return for an additional appointment to replace the lug. They were claiming to need to order the lug (Why aren't you pre-ordering lugs if you specialize in tires) and asked that I return the following week. They attitude of the technicians was appropriate, but the fact that I waited my time, and a mistake was made by their staff really seems to bother me... Had a very slow leak in one of my tires. Had to stop and add air daily for 3 weeks because I would lose 12 pounds and then it would stop. They said okay hour and half we'll call you. They called and asked if I wanted to purchase new tires, I said not at this time. Thanks, hour later they call and say your truck is done. Nice, thinking okay I'll go back next month and buy new tires. When I go up to the counter they tell me no charge. Cool beans, needless to say they couldn't find a leak, even after they said we put it in the dunk tank and no leaks. Well did they actually look for bubbles, because when I got home a sprayed my entire wheel with soapy water it was blowing bubbles like when Ozzy Osbourne was on stage that really bad concert and he got mad because he's the prince of darkness. So tired of paying 2 bucks at the gas station daily I decided to plug it which is not recommended but now it's holding air. I think I'll buy tires somewhere else this year. If I could give this location zero stars I would've. My husband took his car in just change the break pad for one of the wheels and ended up paying $726.00 after everything which I am still confused why it was this expensive for a Chrysler 300C (which no one took the time I explain). They happen to damage the exhaust down pipe when they were jacking my car up. The fact that my Husband does not speak English very well and they took advantage of him by lying to him, saying our car was fine...Who does that? What type of business is this? On top of that; when I was saying he doesn't speak English well, another member of their team was laughing at us. They don't have any integrity or moral compass in which their company takes advantage of my Husband and myself for being immigrants. This is not the America I imagined when I moved here. I have to give a big shout out to the guys at this Les Schwab location. I've been here multiple times due to my car's Flat Tire Indicator, and the service I've received has always been prompt, pleasant and courteous. My most recent incident was this past week when, once again, my indicator went off on my way in to work. I popped in to see if they were perchance open yet (it was 7:30am). One of the bay doors was open, but I didn't see any activity in the office. Just as I was walking up to the door a lovely gentleman unlocked the door with a smile and asked what he could do to help. I explained my situation and he quickly got to work on the car. They hadn't even started their business day yet! Just stellar service. While you wait they have a clean lobby area with a TV on, coffee at the ready, and popcorn. I believe they even have wi-fi, but don't quote me on that. Turns out I had a nail in my tire. The guys got me patched up and on the road in no time. Give this location your business!! read more

Thoroughly upset. Very disappointed! I recently moved to Washington and know that I need to change my breaks. I looked up reviews for different Les Schwab's around town and this one had decent rating but none too recent this year. But in Portland Oregon Les Schwab is a great company and always known for their great customer service. So I thought I would give this one a try. Today I went in about 11:00am. I had called the previous day and spoken with someone about coming in. They said i didn't need an appointment just come in. There was only one other car in the parking lot when i arrived. All the mechanics saw me park and walk in (their garage faces the lot). When I was inside I saw people sitting in the waiting area so I went to the front counter. There was no one there to greet me when I pulled up (but sometimes I know they can be busy) but when I walked to the front no one was at the desk to greet me there either! I decided to wait, and wait, and wait, about 10 or 15 minutes pasted. I heard the phone ring twice while I was standing there waiting. There is a door right by the desk. There were many people working that day. I was completely shocked how they ignored me. This was not like the Les Schwabs I know. My review is on their customer service. Unfortunately because I wasn't able to talk to anyone and was shunned I didn't receive and break or tire service. They sure can talk a good game and get you to come in there but then once your there they could obviously care less! I would not recommend them at all. As a company I would. But this particular location is ugly, poorly run and terrible to no customer service! Do not go here! Take two more minutes and go to the next one up the road. It's bigger and better. read more

Not the greatest vibe to the place when I walked in, and guy behind the counter had zero warmth or personality. Okay, I can deal with that. But, once my car was checked, he called me over for the quote. Front/rear pads, rotors, calipers (which I did NOT need) for 2004 Honda Accord? A jaw-dropping $1310.00. NOT OEM parts, either, with the most ridiculous mark-up I've ever seen. He asked if they should go ahead and start the work. LOL... um, no thank you. Got the work done 2 days later at a reputable location, OEM parts, for a full $600.00 less. Needless to say, won't ever be back to this place! read more

I came to this Les Schwab location because I was sick and tired of the Covington store. They have long wait times and poor customer service. I've had over 4 flats in the past 3 months! I came to this location (with my 1 yr old in hand) around 10 am and was immediately greeted by a service rep. I barely got out of my car and the guy was asking me what I needed done and then took my keys. I then walked inside where I was greeted by another nice gentlemen who took my information and told me it would be just a few minutes. And that is exactly how long I waited. It turns out that I needed a whole new tire! The service rep provided me with several options and then waited patiently while I discussed it over with my husband. The whole transaction took less than 20 minutes. This location has fast, speedy and great customer service. The lobby was nice and clean. Coffee was freshly brewed in regular and decaf. The supplies looked very well stocked and the items offered were actually name brand (Folgers). The popcorn was just made (the smell was still lingering) and the bags were a little larger than normal. Overall, I give this location 5+ stars for convenience and quality. read more

I bought tires from Les Schwab 6 months ago and they are still keeping up with there end of the bargain. The purchase was pretty average experience but they have been outstanding in their customer service! I go in every month to have my tire pressure checked and they do it for me for no charge its awesome! Plus I just went in to get them rotated and they didn't charge me a sent! I don't know if they were just having a good day or what but I was incredibly impressed! I have already sent two friends there and they said their service was great!! Lea Schwab has been part of my "family" dating back to the mid 1960's and my summertime forays to Grannies House in The Dalles, Oregon.It didn't matter what was going on in any of her aging puddle jumpers, the rule was "If ya want it done right ,at a damn good price Go see Les". Amazingly that still holds true today. I dropped my truck of for several new tires, missed their call to pick it up and they kept it safe for me until they opened on Monday. Went in for a front end alignment and came back to find out that I needed $1600 of front end work done before they can align my truck. Ok no Thanks, it's driving fine. Then I went to Firestone to have my alignment done and was done in less than an hour with no problems. Funny thing also, my friend went to get an alignment at a les Schwab down south and they told him the same thing and needed $1600 worth of work?? He then took it to an independent shop and they aligned his with no problem. Hmmmmm. They should know that some people work on their own cars/trucks but I just don't have the equipment to do alignments. read more

I brought my 2001 Honda Accord in for a wheel alignment and they were readily available to repair today; which is a plus; even pointed out that I needed ball joints replaced on both front wheels ;as I thought there was something wrong but didn't know what the problem was. Unfortunately they didn't get my wheel alignment right; as it veers when I make a turn...it keeps turning; called back Chris and he says they have a 30 day guarantee and to bring it back ...I'm a little upset as I just brought my car in for an alignment...and $356 dollars later, my "brakes may give out in the next few days" Really! If so why didn't My regular mechanic or Firestone bring to my immediate attention...I'm not to certain about this les Schwab... I took my car in Aug2015, they replaced the front ball joints as well as a wheel alignment. As stated in my initial review when I left Les Schwab my wheel kept pulling to the right and so I figured it would "take time" for the wheel alignment to adjust as per the les Schwab mechanics. A couple of months ago I notice the same creaking and pulling problems I had when I first went Les Schwab, so I take my Honda to the Honda dealer...guess what they said...You need your front ball joints replaced!! Seven months later ...So I return my car to Les Schwab last month...and they said...we replace the ball joints, but they will have to order the parts and will call me once they are in...as of today have not gotten a call from them...I will never go back to Les Schwab...they took my money...used cheap parts and my ball joints need to be replaced!! read more

The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because when I went to pick up the car, no one was in the waiting area and they left me standing for 10 minutes. Petty? Quick. In and out. I went in for a nail in my tire. I'm not a regular Les Schwab customer nor have their tires so it was $15 to patch up my tire. It's not bad. I loved the quick service everything was very straight forward. They have a lobby with a tv and coffee which is nice. The service didn't necessarily wow me. I have always heard about their outstanding service here but honestly nothing stood out. Very straight forward here you go okay we're done bye....all very meh.
