Worst experience at a Les Schwab store ever at the down town location. I made an appointment for a tire rotation on my Truck, it is a dually so I understand it takes a while and requires an appointment. I left after being told it would take an hour only to return to it not even to have been started on an hour later. There was no apology or any kind of customer service. I requested my keys and truck leaving without any service done. I will never return to that location and will consider taking my business elsewhere when replacing my tires. read more

But from Cheney to Olympia over two decades, I've gotten phenomenal service from Les Schwab 98% of the time. And even that last 2% wasn't so bad. I know almost nothing about cars. If a mechanic charged me for refilling my headlight fluid, I'd probably fall for it. With Les Schwab, I practically have to beg them to take my money even after fixing my car. That kind of thing earns both my trust and loyalty. I truly wish more businesses ran like this. read more

I need corporate to contact me before I file a lawsuit. We brought both of our trucks here and Clint inspected them and gave me a laundry list of safety issues for them both. Over 3k later for my ford explorer they said it was good to go & fixed properly. Less than two months later my TEENAGE kids are driving with my toddler and hear a noise and the truck starts making a scary sound and they almost crashed!!! The calipers were not done properly and could have killed my kids!!!! The bolt literally came off and the caliper put a hole in the tire. The tow truck driver said he'd never seen anything like it!! I had it towed to a Les Schwab where we moved and they confirmed the job was not done right! We have to make monthly payments on a job that could have seriously injured my kids, and even after the current one fixes it they'll be incredibly anxious now!!! Safety was the concern yet they caused a very serious issue by not using locktite or doing a SAFETY job and check properly!!! I need someone to step it up and realize how incredibly dangerous this situation is or I'll be contacting an attorney! read more

Showed up to get my snow tires installed. I was told it would take 1 hr and 15 minutes. An hour and twenty later I inquire about the status and it would be another hour until it would be done. Thankfully there is a Panera in walking distance to get away. It was not easy staying in the waiting area as they allowed a customer in that had a large Labrador type dog that kept running and barking in the inside. I am glad I'm not allergic or fearful of dogs. They have a popcorn machine but it's not imaginable to go scoop up your own popcorn with colds, the flu, and again people playing catch with their large dog inside. Just an odd situation. read more

Got a flat on the highway and was not able to change to the spare myself. Called these guys, even though they didn't have my size tire in stock, they were able to come out to my location and put on the spare for me for a nominal fee. Whole process was all said and done within 1 hour, including their approx. 15min drive to my car. Josh was the one who performed the service, he was nice and efficient. This place will try to upsell you. I bought brand new rear tires from them in June 2023. Today my rear driver tire was very low so I went in to get it repaired/replaced. They called a couple of hours later and said that they didn't have a tire to match the other rear tire. The employee said that all he had in stock was a much more expensive tire, and that he recommends I replace both back tires, so as not to experience a "pull" when I'm on the freeway. He tells me the two new tires will be $489. Again, these two tires were just replaced in June. He also could not tell me what was wrong with the tire, just that it could not be repaired. When I said I did not want to buy two new tires, he then said he could get me a tire from the Shelton location that matches my current tires, but not until the next day. His tone was very discouraging. I told him that's fine, I will wait until tomorrow. He also told me that my warranty only covered half the cost of the new tire, which is not the way Les Schwab used to do business. So now I have to pay $130 to replace one tire that I bought six months ago. That was a ridiculous runaround and I'm disgusted that he tried to get almost $500 from me over a flat tire. I also feel like he did this because I'm a woman. I keep hearing from people that Les Schwab routinely tries to upsell women because they think we're stupid. read more

My 16 year old daughter had a slow leak and needed to get it checked out. She took her car to this location and everyone was very polite. They checked her tire and found a piece of metal, took it out and patched the tire. They proceeded to check all the other tires and pads. They did not charge her anything for this service. I am very happy that they took such good care of her and gave her a great experience for her first time tire problems. This experience will make it easier for her to ask for help in the future. While driving to a weekend away with our 7 year old, and still 2 hours from our destination, we accidentally hit a curb and soon discovered our front passenger tire was bulging. We pulled into this Les Schwab three minutes before closing and the service people took one look at the tire and offered to stay beyond closing time just to fix our tire to ensure we made it to our destination safely. I am disgusted by this Les Schwabs. If you are a women I don't advise you go here. I was lied to multiple times while in their store. I brought my car in for a pre safety check and asked for a computer diagnostic as my cheeks engine light was one. I left my car for about an hour and came back. First they told me that they couldn't run a computer diagnostic as it would take "hours." My family owned the tool to do this and I know it only takes a few seconds (maybe a minute tops) then returns a code that you can the look up. After arguing with the guy for about 10 minutes they finally send some one out and low and behold it only took a few minutes for them to have a code for me. I was told I was "lucky" and that is "must of worked fast this time." I was told I needed a brake job ASAP. I drove 300+ mile back to my home town to find low but not terrible brake pads. I was told I need a ton of repairs,some for where for things may car doesn't have, like the wrong kind of shocks. They wanted to do over a 1000 dollars worth of unneeded repairs and lied to my face. I wish I could give them negative stars. read more

Honorable company. We took our car for new brakes and asked to call us if the rotors had to be changed. It turned out the rotors had to be changed and we suspected that it was the case. But they didn't call us to approve the charges. When I was picking up the car and complained that we never got a call to approve charges, Jamie verified my story and WAIVED the charge for the rotors. I finally got to spend money at Les Schwab!! I've been going to Les Schwab for years but they never charge for tire repairs or rotations. Today, I went in for a slow leak in one of my tires and was assisted by an extremely knowledgeable and helpful technician named Michael. He showed me where there were several spots of aluminum corrosion on the wheel which were causing the leak. He offered several options and helped me to make the right decision. He was never pushy about buying something from them and he answered all of my questions in detail. He performed the work on my car quickly and efficiently and explained what he had done afterwards. They have an enormous selection of wheels/rims in stock at this location, the prices are good, and if Michael is any indication, the technicians are amazing! read more

Last week I rang up the co. near Capital Mall to ask if I needed an appointment to have a brake job done and my tires rotated. I was told no appointment needed. And what would be the charge. And what would be the charge. $298.00 I also asked about a Senior discount which he said yes on. I arrived the next day and the first question I was asked is, 'do you have an appointment'? I was told none needed. I told her what I wanted. I waited for longer than I expected to then be greeted by the repair person. He inspected my brakes, came back and asked me if I wanted to see my brakes and I did. I authorized front brakes to be done and tires to be rotated understanding that the tires rotation was free if you purchased the tires at a Les Schwab (where I had purchased four less than a year ago. After more than 3 hours passed I was given a bill that far exceeded the quoted price of $289.00. $532.75 (no Senior discount but a $25 coupon instead. Hardly the 10% I was expecting. I thoughtfully put the 'key thing' for the rims on the console so it would be in plain sight so when he got into my car it would easily be seen. When I returned to my car I saw that my glove box was a mess (ripped apart) my console space had been rifled through and the trunk was a mess with my things scattered all about. He could have asked me where I put it instead of tossing my car. Brakes seem fine. Upon looking at the work when I got home I see that the rims seem to have been dipped in some sort of greasy mixture and are stained. I spent much time with brush and strong cleaning solution to get them clean again. I would definitely NOT recommend this Les Schwab near Capital Mall, but I highly recommend the shop in Port Orchard where I purchased my four tires. read more

This morning I went into Les Schwab on Capitol Mall Dr Olympia, WA. Saturday December 3, 2022 the low tire pressure sensor light up on my way to work. I stopped at Jiffy Lube Marvin RD Lacey, Wa and had them check the tire pressure in the tires after telling them about the sensor light coming on. I also had a oil change at that time. Jiffy Lube said the pressure was 34 in all tires and it even was on the receipt for the oil change. When I turn on the car the light was still on. I told the attendant & she said that it would take 10 mins to go out. I had the low tire pressure light come on at different times before and after the tires were filled the light went out immediately. At any rate the light continued to stay on. I thought it must be the sensor light was going out. So back to Les Schwab. They checked the tires and found that the pressure was 22 not 34. They filled the tires and the light went out. Les Schwab tech told me that the sensor light was working perfectly. Then he said "no charge". WOW! I was amazed that they did not charge me for the time they spent. All I can say is if I need anything regarding my tires I will definately being going back to Les Schwab Capitol Mall DR Olympia, WA! Thank you very much!!! read more

I am a long term customer and took my vehicle in to have the tires rotated at the Olympia Plum Street location. I was told that the rear brakes needed to be replaced, they were at 3mm, along with calipers and rotor. I was given a quote of over 600$ and was told it could be done right away. I took my car to a local mechanic to replace a bad wheel bearing. The bearing worked for 6 weeks and then started squealing again. A friend from work suggested Les Schwab near the mall. They fixed my wheel bearing for around $200, which was much cheaper than several of the other places I spoke to and the wheel bearing has been just fine for this past year. Fast forward a year later, my other vehicle had a punctured tire and was flat right in the middle of us moving and I was a mess. I took my car to Les Schwab and they said it had a puncture. They fixed it in 30 min for free!!! I could NOT be happier with this location. They are a great crew and very honest. Even though we're moving to a different city, I'll drive back here to get the work done. read more

The tire was one of theirs and was less than a year old--It shredded on the freeway and they didn't give me any discounts or honor the warranty that their tires carry. I brought my truck into the shop last week to have brand new tires installed. When I came to pick it up, the assistant manager Ben told me that I have a broken TPMS sensor. I explained to him this is anew truck and no codes or faults have populated and it was working just fine when it was dropped off. Ben attempted to remedy the situation by having me return today to get it changed out with no cost to me. Well I issued the nightdrop feature This morning before the opened and when I returned at 2pm, my truck wasn't even fixed NOR did the key even get moved from where it landed. The on shift assistant manager Brian told me vehicles are left here all the time and we don't have time to look into every single one... they attempted to fix my truck but their machine to recalibrate the sensor broke and instead of apologizing; said I can just goto Toyota of Olympia and they can fix it..... zero customer service or accountability for issues they created themselves. I know there are people out there that think Les Schwab is a ripoff but I am not one of those people. In the 15 years that I have been driving, I have had numerous tires repaired at this Les Schwab and the only thing they want in return is a thank you. There was a time when my family and I were driving down to Oregon for a vacation and my back left wheel popped off my truck! I thought our vacation was ruined bc we still had over 100 miles to go and we couldn't drive on a spare. We were stuck in the middle of the road and Les Schwab rescued our truck and stayed late to put a new wheel and tire on so that we could continue our trip to the beach with our kids. I just got 4 new tires and wheels today and yes it was expensive but they are always willing to stay late, they have always been honest with me, and for that I will always be loyal. read more

I came in to get my front brakes done and told them that another place said they were bad. Les Schwab did a brake inspection and told me that my brakes were fine and there is no need to replace them. They could've easily just done my brakes and charged me and I wouldn't have never known that they didn't need to be replaced.
