Went in for an oil change I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I went in early before 9am. I was warmly greeted and the customer service was excellent. Synthetic oil changed cost me $114 with taxes but online they have a $33 off coupon. With inflation and costs going up the coupon definitely helped and made it worth it. They upsold me on a new air filter that was extremely dirty! During the inspection they didn't find anything wrong and topped off my fluids. I would recommend this place. read more

My husband and I stopped at Jiffy Lube to have my oil changed. He wanted to go to a different location because he likes the one in Fair Oaks. We decided to stay and have it done in Folsom because at the time we were the only car there. One other lady pulled up with an SUV about five minutes after us. As we were driving away I noticed the mileage on the window sticker was wrong. We pulled over and looked at the paperwork and it had 45k not 97k miles listed. I told my husband they must have put the other ladies info on our receipt, and our info on hers. We drove back and asked them to correct the information. The first guy I spoke with told me he couldn't update the information. Then another guy tried to help and told him that he'd need to cancel my transaction and charge my card again. I'd need to wait 3 to five days for a credit. I told him not to cancel the transaction, to write the correct mileage for my records and initial it and it'd be fine. I told him more than once that I was not going to swipe my card and wait for a credit. He told the other guy to write the correct mileage which he did on the paperwork and the return sticker placed in the window. This morning my husband got a call telling us they canceled the transaction after they were told not too multiple times, and we need to drive back and pay for the service. I wonder how many customers went home with the incorrect mileage written on their maintenance paperwork. If you have a warranty on your vehicle this could definitely cause issues. The last one I took I noticed something that looked strange, in looking into it further the guys there didn't complete the work, I had to go back and ask that they finish the work and they did so under my supervision. I was then wondering did they do the correct work on my other vehicle I took there. I checked out that truck and there was missing bolts, bolts were stripped, things were zip tied together to the point where it was actually dangerous to drive. So they either lost my bolts or were too lazy to bolt things back together so they used ZIP ties. Honestly someone should have the (BAR) Beauro of Automotive Repairs look into these guys. This place is run by incompetent kids who don't give a care about your vehicle and will do anything just to skate by. Check engine light came on immediately after an oil change here. Took it to the shop and after they redid the oil change (costing us $400 to investigate and repeat the oil change we'd just had done 2 days earlier), the check engine light resolved and didn't come back. When we reported it to the store they admitted it was probably an error on their end and even described a similar incident with another car after a mistake. Corporate jiffy lube is the one that had to decide whether to make it right, however, and they basically told us that we couldn't prove anything so good luck. Fine. We won't be back. read more

I asked how long it would take they said 25 minutes, they got an oil change and a tire rotation done in less than 20. I expressed to them I was in a hurry (without being rude) and they assured me it would be done. They got it done, they were pleasant, the store was clean. I went to this Jiffy lube to have oil changed. Have used Jiffy lube for all my cars. Being new to the area, wanted to establish a location near my work/home location in the area. Get there with 30 minutes before they close. They tell me will take about an hour and I was ok with that. Staff seemed friendly that helped me and acknowledged their bathroom had no paper towels to dry my hands before entering. They get done and I was able to use my coupon and he offered one if I did not have one. I go home and leave the next morning, check engine light is on and get checked out and it was a sensor they tinkered with or hit. Just had to go to the Jiffy Lube near my home in Fresno County to have checked and they had to replace the filter and plug as the one in Folsom stripped it and did not tighten the filter so they replaced that as well. I now know why the mechanic aspect was moved from the Folsom location, as it was not just that there are more shops that the employee mentioned when I was there, but the care that it not provided to cars when brought in. Moral of the story, go to where ya know and not convenience. Also, listed to the Yelp reviews and number of stars a business has. Last, nice does not cover the cost of engine repairs (hope I avoid) or oil stains in your drive way which I have. read more

On February 19, 2024, my 20-year-old daughter took my 2010 Honda Accord into the Folsom Jiffy Lube for an oil change and tire rotation. They inspected the brake pads and reported that they need to be replaced. They documented them as; front is 2 mm, and the rear are 1 mm. I found this odd because I had a complete brake job in October 2023. I took my car to an independent auto mechanic for an inspection, and they reported that my front and rear pads measure at 8 mm. They inquired why I was having such new brakes inspected and I told them what Jiffy Lube had indicated. Laughter erupted around the room. I needed a new battery but AutoZone and O'Reilly recommended me this place because they can change the battery without affecting the memory and the stereo of the car. I call them and they told me they had the battery and the tools to do it. On the phone the price was ridiculous low compared to other places. When I went and I did not have to wait, the staff was very kind and friendly. Of course the recommended battery was a different one and more expensive. That was, honestly, expected by me. They did not have it, but they brought one from another place in less than 20 min. They installed it and voila. Everything fine. Great service and the staff was great and nice. Don't bother! They are lame! Why do they tell you a time it's going to take and then don't stick to it and don't even do their job. I was told 45 min. After an hour and a half I went looking for the cashier and said I needed to leave now and I couldn't wait any longer. Brandon then told me that my car had been ready for some time and he couldn't find me. Duh... I was in the same place I had been for the last hour and a half! They tracked me down just fine when they wanted to do additional things for more money and promised to stay within the 45 minutes. Now late I hurry up and leave. I get down the road and now my brake light is on!!! I was told by Brandon that they checked for any problems. Never mentioned a brake light. They never even checked my brakes! That's for letting me leave in potential danger. Now I get home and I notice the receipt. They never applied my coupon!! So on top of all this the over charged me. I came in for an oil change and everything went well, the guy was really attentive to me and my vehicle, ... but as soon as i was ready to pay and check out i let the cashier know that i had "checked in" on yelp and i get a 10$ off coupon off any oIl change. So i brought it up to the cashier and he started to question the coupon and make remarks like, where did you get that from? And things like " i don't even know how to input that in our system, and just looked like he didn't want to honor the coupon that's on the yelp JIFFY LUBE WEBSITE. & continued to make remarks like " if this was my business, i wouldn't run it like that" giving people discounts for nothing" ... so i then just ignored it and walked out. I took my fleet vehicle in for service and asked for an oil change. I DID NOT ASK FOR ANYTHING ELSE!!!! This is a fleet vehicle so I generally just get my normal oils change and move on. I took the receipt and headed out. Later that evening I looked at the receipt again only to find out that these people rotated my tires. I did not ask for a tire rotation because they had been rotated at week before when I had my breaks checked. Be VERY CAREFUL with this location. I shall be seeking a refund and asking Jiffy Lube to re-rotate my tires at no charge. I will no longer use Jiffy Lube and I am going to ask out fleet manager to ban the usage of Jiffy Lube across America. Note to Jiffy Lube, we have hundreds of vehicles. read more

Went in for a simple oil change. I was in a hurry and explained to them that I have no interest in changing the cabin air filter (they will always try to get you to buy a new one, even if it's perfectly clean). They still attempted to up sell me on the cabin air filter, wasting time removing it & asking if I'd like a new one... Once they finished the oil change and I drove off, I noticed my passenger glove box would no longer close... It was left open and the hinge was broken off. I immediately returned to jiffy lube, where they were extremely rude & disrespectful when I explained what they did. They finally performed a "fix" to the glove box hinge, but only enough to get it to close (not fixing the actual hinge to make it slowly come down). After much more complaining and explaining that it was not fixed while being harassed by the jiffy lube employee, he finally fixed the glove box hinge. Although he did not use all the parts that had fallen off, it does now work as normal (for now at least). My boyfriend had a similar problem with them, where they had somehow managed to scratch his steering wheel during a simple oil change. We will never come back here. Jiffy lube does not hire trained mechanics. They simply hire anyone on the street and train them enough to perform an oil change and some basics. And of course how to up sell on all the BS you don't even need replacing. These 1 star reviews do not lie. I strongly advise to take your car elsewhere and avoid jiffy lube at all costs. Seems weird to leave a review for an oil change place, but I've been taking my cars here for years, and have to say how great this place is. Took my truck in today. I don't drive it much, but it had been a year since I had the oil changed and figured that it was time since I also needed to get it smogged. They took a look and said that I really didn't need an oil change because the miles weren't that high. How many places turn you away instead of just taking your money. Then I returned with my other car which definitely needed an oil change and my 7 year old son was fascinated with how they change the oil and work on the cars. They noticed that, and took the time to show him around and point out the different tools and whatnot. Totally made my Son's day. A few months ago I took my car in and I actually didn't need an oil change but was a little lower then they wanted, they topped me off, filled my AC and tires, all for free of charge. I went to el dorado hills for the oil change a few days ago and they sent me away without ever looking at the actual car. They made me feel dumb. I didn't trust their judgement so I went up the 15 minutes to Folsom and wow. I had definitely needed the oil changed, I had a blown head gasket (they even brought in a guy to explain it in more detail so I felt comfortable and understood, I had filters that needed replacing and my tires to be filled. They treated me a lot of kindness and would routinely come into the room I was in to make sure I wasn't too hot and to update me on what was happening with the car. I went for an oil change and other needed upkeep for my Jeep. The gentleman, Lee, told me I was too early for the oil change and we made an agreement about the other services needed. All were definitely needed on the 2008 Jeep. He told me he also has a Jeep he loves, so we had a vehicular connection. I left the facility and returned about an hour later and was greeted with a big surprise. This wonderful man took the time to press out, as best he could, the dent in my front bumper. Came here to have an oil change and tire rotation for my state vehicle. They had great service and no lines at this one compared to the one in Rancho Cordova which was 2 deep in each stall. Only reason I'm not giving them more stars is that they must have spilled a ton of oil on the engine when removing the oil filter as my engine was smoking pretty bad for about 5-10 minutes. If I didn't know about it or if i was a girl I woul'dve freaked out cause there was so much smoke coming from the engine. Try not to spill so much oil on the engine next time guys. 100% scam. This happened about 3 months ago. I went here to get my wife's oil changed for her truck. They stated her breaks need to be done. It was odd 'cause I did the breaks less than 2 years ago. I did the front one's, back one's didn't need to be replaced. We don't haul anything or really ride the breaks. So I went and checked the front breaks, they were basically still brand new. For real, the front breaks when compared to new break pads showed little loss to the old break pads. Back breaks still have a least another year or so on them. Great at sales, really good at lying on turning a profit! read more
