We had a tire blow out heading south on I-5. We got towed to Les Schwab in Red Bluff by AAA. We were totally amazed by the Les Schwab's team's fast, efficient service. They did a great job of setting us up with four new tires, properly and carefully installed. The crew there was polite and pleasant to work with. We can't say enough good about them. Heading home to the Bay Area from a road trip to the Pacific Northwest, we hit road debris on I-5 just north of Red Bluff and blew a tire. It was late in the afternoon and the tow truck driver who put on the temporary spare recommended Les Schwab Tire Center in Red Bluff because it was close by and they were open later than other tire stores, 6pm. I called them and they said they would look at our tire right away. We had to stay overnight in Red Bluff so they could get the tires we needed. The next morning they called us as soon as the tires arrived, installed them as soon as we got there, performed a wheel alignment at our request, and we were on our way by 11:30. A friend told me to come here...super nice folks and no shaming me because i did not know my tire size...I will forever come here for my tire needs. 103 degrees, southbound on I5 from a week of house boating on Lake Shasta. One of the tires on the boat trailer blows! I call AAA, which I have had since the '80's. My "Premium" membership does not cover boat trailers! Really?!! I told my wife, "find me a Les Schwab!" I call and they are about 1 mile away. Dustin (sp?) shows up minutes later, puts the spare on, checks the dates on my other tires which were 2001 and I follow him to the shop. An hour later, the other three tires (ready to come apart) and they one that let go are all replaced and I am back on the road! so my trip to Les Schwab this morning cause I had a blowout on the freeway yesterday we're just a little information my daughter bought two tires a separate time and then sometime went by and bought two more tires. They didn't rotate a movie between that time and then I have a blowout but the limited warranty that's supposed to cover the tire under 50,000 miles warranty doesn't apply because they didn't rotate the tires instead, I didn't wanna buy two more tires right now they sent her away with a freaking donut on it which is very unsafe really bad business I would not recommend this place to anybody and I will. My brother went in to patch his tire at the Les Schwab in Red Bluff, on Saturday 4/25/2015. They were the only option and they insisted on replacing the tire. Regardless, the car was bought on Wednesday, a Lexus I300 with no dents on the passenger side. When he got home and looked at the car the next day there were 3 new dents on the passenger door. Class act. It was even better that the employees were snickering when we left. Avoid this store and go the Bob's or anybody else in Red Bluff. read more

Zero stars I came for an alignment. They told me they only did the front alignment because it was after market but still charged me full price front and back. They told me they would do the back once I got stock parts for car which makes no sense. I took my car somewhere else to a mom and pop shop and they told me les Schwab didn't actually give me an alignment in the front because I needed a camber bolt on the left side front and if they would have actually done the alignment they would have had to order that part. So les Schwab charged me full price for an alignment but did not actually do anything on my car front or back. Les Schwab totally ripped me off. The lack of integrity at Les Schwab is destroying its reputation. Mom and pop shops are better. Custom Wheel Services off Shasta St in Redding California is affordable and have integrity. read more

It was late Saturday afternoon and after trying to find a decent place to put air in my tires, I noticed that Les Schwab was open. I had one of the staff put air in my tires but my tire light warning was still on on my 2016 Kia. The gentleman informed me that I had a slow leak in one tire. I asked home how much it would cost to fix it and he said it is free. So he fixed my tirethat needed a new valve that was leaking, and the warning light immediately went off. I also asked him if he would check my brakes and tire wear. Several other car repair shops in the area told me I would need new brakes on the back wheels very soon and my tires needed to be replaced. Les Schwab mechanic told me that I have lots of wear left on my brakes and tires, and encouraged me to return every 5,000 miles (which I am doing) for a free tire location! All of the staff were so service oriented; it really impressed me. So when I need new tires or brakes, guess where I am going?! Thank you, Les Schwab in Red Bluff, CA.! Took 2 hrs to just get my truck pulled up and another hour to rotate 4 tires. Went there at 8:30 AM on an early March Wednesday morning for a couple of tires. Not a lot of folks there yet (out near the fairgrounds, BTW), and as I was collecting my junk, one of the employees came out to my car to help me. He was okay, and was able to give me the info I needed to make an informed decision. Not that it takes a lot of additional information -- this is a Les Schwab. You already know. It's like the MacDonalds' of tires. Price -- expected. I asked them to take a look at the new oil leak I'd developed, and at the payment stage I asked about that. They told me that there was a lot of oil, and 'probably' the valve cover gasket... which I'd already suspected. Not a lot of energy expended there by staff. I'm not having them fix it, so no frills. They didn't bother to check the oil level. Kinda sad, and not particularly helpful. I talked to my local shade-tree mechanic when I got home, and he verified the gasket leak....and he checked the oil level. Hm. So Les Schawb is what it is. Don't expect miracles, but you get what can be expected. read more

Went in to get new front shocks, they wanted me to buy a new steering column, replace ball joints I had replaced just 3 years earlier myself (less than 10k miles since). Cut the rubbers on said ball joints. Said I needed alignment, didn't tell me it was because while on the lift, they changed it. There was no need to put my truck on the lift, since they didn't have the shocks in stock. There was nothing wrong with my truck when I took it in. Other than needing front shocks. So I bought shocks and put them on myself. Which was when I noticed the clean threads showing they had changed the alignment. I used to trust them, but not anymore. What was going to be shocks, now is going to cost me more, replacing the ball joints again because they cut the rubber. Also they had put on the front tires, a while back, and I noticed a clicking after that. They didn't put the bearing cover back on right. While trying to buy shocks told me I needed to buy to new covers? They are metal, you don't ever need to replace them. They saw old man, probably doesn't know anything, lets soak him for all we can. Scott was at our door and had us checked in right away, just like the commercials. We sat down at their cute little tables. They had donuts, popcorn, coffee, and a free cell charging station. There were five, with only one car in the bays. They several times gave me a direct stare then pointedly ignored me while they went back to their pow wow while the one guy was doing all the work. OK, off to Les Schwab with me. I can take a hint. They had full bays, all seven but still got me in and out in less time it took to get totally ignored at the discount big box store. I've been to Les Schwab multiple times since there isn't too many other options in Red Bluff, and every single time, I've had a terrible experience. Their employees are uncommunicative and information that should be basic and general varies between each employee. Once, I was told that they could have a new rim for my car within two days... two weeks later, I still couldn't drive my car. After they ordered the wrong rim three times, I ordered it myself and had it the next day. Upon picking my car up, my entire passenger side mirror fell off before I had left their parking lot, but they refused to admit that they did anything to break it. The next time I came in, they told me I would need to order a new part before getting my car aligned. My boyfriend works at an autoparts store and could order it to be cheaper and arrive sooner than they could, so they said that was fine for us to do. The next day, we brought the car and new part in, and were told (by the same employee as the day before) that they wouldn't put the part on our car because they hadn't been the ones to order it. Service is slow, and while some employees are friendly, most that I've interacted with are rude and unhelpful. The way they view and speak to customers (especially young girls, like myself, who stereotypically don't know much about cars) is unprofessional. Most employees seem to care more about profiting from work that doesn't actually need to be done and parts that don't actually need to be replaced than helping people who need their vehicles. I've had so many terrible experiences here that I'm now willing to go to Redding for my car/tire needs whenever possible. read more

As I pulled up to this location early Thursday morning. Paul came out and asked if I needed help. It was Labor Day weekend and they were busy. I needed a pressure gauge that could handle more than 50psi for my trailer tires. Not only did Paul find and sell me what I needed he checked the pressure in all my SEVEN tires. Not only that, he explained to me that while I wanted 80psi in my trailer tires, the stems were only rated to 65psi. He could have just filled them to 65psi and sent me along. I stopped going to les schwab 10 years ago because they could never do the job right the first time, nothing has changed. I spent over 1700 dollars and the did everything wrong wasted my day and now I have to come back. But not sure on what day because they can't tell me when and if they can get the parts. I'm a very easy going person they ordered the wrong offset so to make it easy, I said I would take any 17inch black rim with an offset of 40 and pay extra if needed they had nothing in stock or around he said. Turns out they don't actually know what they're doing. Their whole job is dealing with tires and they can't even do that one job correctly. I had a flat tire and brought it there to be replaced. Of course, assuming they know what they are doing, I didn't question anything. Turned out they put smaller tire on that ended up creating off all kinds of alignment issues with my jeep for the last 6 months. Not understanding the source of the issue, I brought it someone else, to Bob's big tires, and they showed me it's too small by comparison of my other 3 tires and it's done so much damage to them, that now all tires need to be replaced. $1000! And another thing is when I told Les Schwab that they broke my tire sensor gage, they refused to do anything about it. So please don't bring your car's here for anything!!!! They damaged my car & wouldn't do anything about it. They mounted my front driver's side tire wrong, which actually damaged the rotor behind it. When I reported it to the assistant manager he rudely told me he didn't have to do anything about, because the rotor still functioned somewhat. I'll never set foot in there again. read more

I made an appointment to go in on Monday 03/09/2015 to get my shocks and struts done because I was told by two other Les Schwab I needed it get repair. I agree because I can start feeling some bumps when I drive on the roads. I was told it was a four to five hour job so I had to drop the car off and they would call when it was done (never received a phone call btw). After five hours I went back and my car was not completely finish and when the car was done no one bother calling our name out (we were in the lobby) to let us know it was finish so walked to the front desk and asked. A man walked up and checked us out and didn't really care of bother explaining to us the procedure that they did and what else needed to be done on our car. He proceed to check us out and I paid and left. I left thinking they had done everything on the paper I was charge for but nope I get a phone call the next morning from the front desk girl explaining to me he had charge me for things he didn't put in because I didn't needed them. She said she will credit my credit card back the amount for the work they didn't do and the equipment. After driving my car for the fourth time today the shocks and stuts is not doing its work. My car is bouncing more and when I turn on a bumpy road my horn makes a sound now. I'm just curious did I ever needed any shocks and struts to begin with. I am experiencing more tension on bumpy roads then when I didn't have my new shocks and struts put on. My soul purpose of replacing the shocks and struts is because I'm 35wks pregnant and I thought replacing them would help me out but its completely the opposite. I wanted to go to Les Schwab for the job because I got both my cars tires from them and I find it easy that they have multiple locations. I had good experience with the Sacramento, CA location so far but this is a bad experience with this one. I feel unsafe in my car and don't even want to drive it because of the tension I feel on bumpy roads and the pressure I get on my stomach. I plan to take it back to another Les Schwab to see if everything was done correctly and if I got all the parts I was charged for. Currently I am very unsatisfied and unhappy. And feels my car is not safe to drive. Not to add I did alignment, tire balance, and rotation; now going 60mph my wheels shakes more then ever! I called @ 8AM to be sure they had electricity & to see how busy they were. The gentleman that answered indicated they had PG&E & only 1 customer. So I said I would be in shortly. I arrived at 8:20 and there was 1 person ahead of me. I was checked in for a tire rotation. Shortly there after several other people arrived. At 9:30 I went to the counter & asked if my car was finished. I was told they hadn't started that there were people ahead of me. I said NO, I was the second person here. Then I was told the others had appointments....If the person who answered the phone would have told me there were 10 apts between 8:30 - 9 I would have made an appointment. I was there for over 2 hours just to have my tires rotated.......... I have been going to this Les Schwab since 1996 and they never had appointments before, the guy who answered the phone SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING!!!! read more

My knob on my heater was pushed in so I could not use my heat/air. Les Schwab's tech fixed it no charge and would not even let me buy lunch. This took about an hour to fix .
