The customer service here is always great everytime I've been there. They are patient and take the time to explain tires to this girl. They have never tried to upsell me anything. We switched over from Costco and ended up paying about $40 more for 4 tires but the service is totally worth it. Rotations have always been quick and easy too. 15 minutes in and out. Oh and they will work with you even at the end of the day. In fact these guys stayed after hours to finish my rotation after an emergency tire change. Totally recommend them!!!! read more

This was one of my easiest, least expensive trips to an automotive shop. This particular establishment was recommended to me by the AAA guy who charged my dead starter battery in my hybrid Toyota. He said the battery probably needed to be replaced and I should get it checked. I called them ahead of time and explained what I needed - that it was the starter battery and not the main battery that needed to be checked. They said they would need to look at it and see if they had them in stock and said they could take me right away. So I drove down, was cordially greeted and entered into the system and sat in the comfy waiting area with free wi-fi. I was called up to the counter after about 15 minutes and was told that they checked the battery at it was fine. I did not need a replacement. but if I do need one in the future, they have that size in stock. I thought "sweet" and asked how much I owe them for the service. It was zero, nada, nothing. It's that time again yelp stars, time for new tires on the Audi. My go to Les Schwab across from the Reno/Sparks convention center has again went above and beyond. With low tire tread, summer heat, and our local surface streets and highways not being maintained to the highest standard. It was time to dump our current Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 model tires. I called up Andrea on Tuesday and she set me up Thursday morning at 730AM for a new set of Continental Extremes that they had in stock. I requested this set of tires be siped. Most folks aren't familiar with tire siping, however siping rubber has been around for approximately 100 years. Making tiny cuts in the tires reduces heat, improves traction, and longevity of your tire investment. When driving down the road I want as much grip on the road as possible! In my opinion tires are the most important thing on your vehicle, and honestly if Americans kept better care of their tires I think we would see fewer accidents, which include unfortunately fatality crashes across the nation. Rolling in at 730 am Andrea and the boys were ready to work. They pulled the tires and rims off in no time and had the new tires siped up on their machine. The new tires were mounted back on the Audi and we were done before 830AM. Les Schwab continues to lead the way in the year 2020. Great staff, service, and sparkling clean locations. I dropped off my car here and asked them to take a look at the breaks. We were coming into Reno from Mount Rose and if you've ever driven that road, you know how steep it is. I was feeling somewhat excessive vibrations in my steering wheel on the way down. We left them with the keys and headed off to find a place to eat lunch. Around an hour later, I received a phone call that they were ready for us so we headed back. When I got there, they basically told me that the pads themselves were still good but they're not sure what the issue actually is, but presented me with a quote north of $500 bucks to find out. I had some questions but couldn't get them answered because the guy at the counter wasn't knowledgeable about breaks and all the ones that were went home for the day. So I said I would take my car elsewhere for a second opinion and when I got outside I found my car parked on the other end of the lot, front windows down, and unlocked. Mind you, this isn't exactly a great area of Reno. In my opinion, that was pretty disrespectful on their part and showed me how little they care. This, combined with the deteriorating service I've experienced lately at the Sparks location, has caused me to re-think where my next tire purchase will come from. Bought tire here a while back. Free rotation every 5,000 miles or so many months. Haven't yet reached my second 5000 mile marker, but it's probably been six months or so. Love when they remind you it's time to get your tires rotated. Took a chance and didn't have an appointment. There were quite a few cars parked outside. So I asked how long ... said 45 minutes. OK, I'll wait. Got me some magazines, watched a little of the Today show, and had some free popcorn. About 20/25 minutes in I was asked when I had my wheels aligned last .. so long ago, I couldn't remember. Said my tires were wearing in a way that indicated they should be aligned. So for $110 I said go ahead and do it. Roughly 20 minutes later I was done. Surprise, only the front wheels needed alignment .. $89.99. Yay. Discussed another issue i was having and he said it sounded like my Rotor (?) needed sanding or replacing. If it gets worse or just annoys you, bring it in will cost anywhere from $175 to 225 depending on whether they can be repaired or have to be replaced. As in their ads .. they did not try to sell me services I did not need. Which is why I stopped bringing my car into the dealer. Too bad they don't do oil changes. read more

I took my car for a flat tire repair, I was told that in one hour aprox I'll be back on the road. I stayed for 3 hours In like 2 hours some came out to tell me the I have to buy right there on the spot 2 brand new tires !!! Because they try to patch them and when they blow them up bubbles came up on the tires, so they no longer good to drive ‍‍‍, I mean why they remove the second tire on the first place without asking me first, I didn't know I have a second tire flat . And second of all, I have to wait another hour more for the car to be ready Please guys please be honest when costumer ask for the waiting time !! Did an annual changeover from my winter wheels/tires to my summer wheels/tires. I knew from the previous service I'd had that one of the lugs on my wheels was cross threaded. Called to make an appointment for them to synch the TPMS sensors and to change one of the lugs. When I called, the individual said that's such a quick job that I don't really need an appointment, but I made one anyway - on a Monday at 4PM. Came in at 4PM and didn't get out of there until after 5PM. The cool part was that they replaced the lug for free, but there was apparently some confusion throughout the whole process about the TPMS service. I've had this same location synch my TPMS twice before - once they didn't charge, and once they did. So when the service advisor said there was no charge for the lug, I specifically asked if they synched the TPMS and the first answer was confusing, as he said, "Yes, there's no low pressure light." I asked again, but did they synch the sensors and was told "yes" and waived off. I rent this car out trough a car share app, and a client was due to pick up the car the next day. Within 10 minutes of their trip, I was told the low pressure light was on. They went out and bought a tire pressure sensor and all the tires read at or above 35 PSI, which tells me that the shop did NOT synch the sensors, and that now I have to pay a client back for them buying a pressure gauge. read more

Made an appointment showed at the time, and they had a printout of three tires. Good, better and best and the prices for each. I've been getting tires on and off at this location for about 10 years. I go here when I can afford to buy high-end tires. For my Dodge Charger it costs about $1,000 for new shoes. When I go to a discount tire chain, I can get a new set for around $650 but they won't last as long...so you really do get what you pay for. They will rotate, air check, rotate and balance whenever you drop in. Which is great. I got tires about a month ago, and since then my tire pressure came on twice. I popped in yesterday unannounced (they were a bit busy on Friday afternoon, took about an hour) and they discovered a nail in my tire, fixed it right up and I was on my way free of charge. Their waiting room is plenty big and they have free wifi if you need to get work done. Staff is always kind and courteous. I'll continue to come here when I can afford to. read more

Why anyone goes anywhere else for tires is beyond me. We pulled up here because we had a day planned at the lake but when we stopped for gas - noticed what we thought was a nut lodged in the back tire. We pulled in to Les Schwab to see what the time frame might be and if we needed to just get new tires. They came out, looked at it, gave us a 45 minute estimate and confirmed that we didn't need new tires! Within 30 minutes it was done and we were back on our way! It ended up being a pretty sizeable Allen screw that punctured the tire. They patched it up and told us it should last the lifetime of the tire - all at no cost. I know it sounds like their commercials - but these guys saved the day and got us back on our way! Very thankful! read more

The people that work for Les Schwab are always extremely helpful, honest and help in any way that they can. Even when you would almost beg them to take a tip. They will not accept. The front of house gentleman (sorry, can't remember his name) was super knowledgeable about the Rivian and the specifics of how to jack it up without damaging the frame/batteries. Which seem to constantly need tires and tire attention you guys are extremely professional and understanding the needs of the small businessman and are quick to respond to those needs. Today I'm getting a set of tires for my 2020 Outback. They do offer shaving a awd tire to match the depth of the tires on your car. But the cost of that service, was within a few hundred dollars. I decided to get a new set of tires, as winter is right around the corner. These guys can handle any tire needs you may have. I do recommend Les Schwab, particularly this location. read more

I've been coming to this Les Schwab for years now and I love their service! Let's begin with the fact that upon approval, you can charge your bill to your account and make payments!! What a life saver!! My fiancé and I have two vehicles, and it seems that as we replace a set of tires and pay them off, the other vehicle needs tires or breaks, this means we are constantly receiving services and charging them to our account, in a never ending cycle! Not to worry though, Les Schwab makes these transactions painless and I have found them to be much cheaper than leading competitors. This combined with our account we can credit to and the warranty service which also comes along with the package...you can't beat it! Somehow, I ALWAYS seem to run over nails and screws...thanks to the warranty, they fix my tires free of cost...if my tire pressure light begins to glow, I take her in and they fill them up free of cost. If my tires wear down before they reach their warranted miles, I only pay the difference for a whole new set! This isn't the only reason I keep coming back though, the employees at this location are very nice, I have not yet had a single problem with anyone! As a matter of fact I am usually greeted in the parking lot by a mechanic before I even get inside! This makes me feel great, like a true valued customer! I've been a leaser for many years so I never personally used Les Schwab's service. It was my mother spot to get tires and service. Well I know own my car and in the last few months I've been there 3Xs. #1 - I decided to get snow tires. They could've sold me the most expensive set in the joint but they were honest. I have a small car and now matter what tires I put on I'm going to have the same issues. They offered me an option of adding more treds to my current tires and a set of chains which I can return if I don't use them. #2 - Post a trip to the lake my tire light went on. Shocking! In the past, when I've taken my car to the dealer they just reset the light. At Les Schwab they actually took the pressure. Noticed I was low and added air free of charge. #3 - Did something stupid and ripped a hole in my tire. It took them 20 minutes to inspect my car. So I ran to get coffee and burrito. By the time I got back my car had been inspected. Again they could've sold me 4 new tires to balance my car. Nope they had a used option that would be covered at any Les Schwab throughout the country. It took them 20 minutes to complete the job. Yes they usually run out to your car to meet you. Yes the popcorn is free. But the service is top notch and I've never felt taken advance of. read more

When I got there they advised me that there was a two hour wait, but that they were able to text me and let me know when to return. What a great service!
