I got a bolt in my tire yesterday evening and was hoping I could just make it to Les Schwab to drop off my keys to get it fixed the next morning (they had closed at 6 and it was already 6:30). While I was looking for a dropbox, Gabriel noticed I was outside and unlocked the door for me and took my car keys and details to get work done the next morning. He then went above and beyond and stayed late to fix it right then and there after realizing the air system was still on. We were out of there by 7:15!! Two mornings ago, on a cold morning, I got a low tire pressure warning for one of my tires. I was hoping it was just because of the cold. I added air to the tire. This morning the warning light came back on, and the tire pressure was even lower. I took my car to Les Schwab. They found a screw in the tire, patched it and had me in and out of there in 15 minutes. I should note I did not buy the tires there as it is a fairly new car with the original tires, so that makes the fact that they did not charge me even more impressive. I usually visit the Les Schwab by the Reno convention center, but accidentally booked my tire rotation at the center a couple of miles down the road (this site on Kietzke). The staff were super nice and there were decent sized tables in the waiting area. They had water and a popcorn machine accessible in the lobby. When I checked my car in the staff were friendly, let me know how long they thought my service would take. This review is for the les schwab located at 1290 Kietzke lane. I called ahead of time to make sure that they can replace my 2 front RV tires. I was very specific with the associate I spoke with that I bought my tires and will be brining it with me. The guy tells me that they can do it for $180.00!!! I said, I will be there first thing SATURDAY morning. I got there and was told by ADAM that I will have to buy tires from them and that they CANNOT mount the tires I BOUGHT! He quoted me 703 dollars. He also stated that if they were to mount and balance my tires, it would be more than 180. He said around 220!!! Wow, talk about trying to make a profit. They'll say they can do it and when you get there, they won't and they'll try to sell you their tires. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! They are SHADY!! While on vacation in Reno we had the worst happen when our truck started having serious issues on the highway. We luckily were nearby and made it to this location safely. The staff here was quick to inspect our vehicle and confirmed that we had a problem. They were honest and very friendly. Duwayne even took us into the bay to show us what was going on. It was nerve wracking to have issues with our vehicle so far away from home. Professional, clean, courteous, communicative, compassionate, caring, and insanely helpful are all ways I could describe my experience at this Les Schwab, and I am SO thankful for all of it. No one wants to go to the tire shop, but if you have to, this is the place you want to be. I got a screw in the shoe and after having a less than adequate AAA experience I needed to get the tire to a shop for a patch. In case you didn't know, Les Schwab offers free tire and trip readiness checks on your vehicle where they make sure air pressure, tread and alignment (visual inspection) are all looking good, amongst a few other things. They also provide tire repair too, and if you purchased the tires from a Les Schwab, that repair work is free. AAA had me believing shops weren't doing repairs any more, so I called to double check, and Les Schwab is still doing them. I didn't have an appointment so I rolled in knowing there'd be a wait... I was quoted two hours. Seemed reasonable given the crazy full lot, and I'm assuming this is all because of how good this shop is and how well they take care of their customers. The lobby is clean AF and there's free wifi, so I found a table near an outlet and got to work while they got to work on my car. When all was said and done, I was ready to pay for the repair, but the service pro waived the charge! This is the level of service and customer service I've experienced every time I come into Les Schwab. There's literally no task to small and no question to simple for them to answer. They truly seem to want to best for their customers and the community. This kind of experience is rare in the automotive space, and I'm glad Les Schwab continues to provide it! read more

I purchased tires for my car several years ago. Tires come with free tire rotation and tire service. Stop by when the weather changes and they gladly check your tires and fill them for the appropriate weather. And yes, they do come out and greet you. I've had a few other tire/brake related issues that were always resolved and a reasonable price and done quickly enough that I could wait. My tire was very low and I had a doctor's appointment. They checked it out and said I had a nail in the tire, but he filled it with extra air so I can get to my appointment and recommended I have if taken care of as soon as possible. On the way back from the doctor I stopped in and it was fixed ... again without charge. And most importantly, they don't try to sell you services you don't need. I had a question about a situation, he said it could be fixed for $125 and take about 1/2 hour. Also said it does not really effect the way the car runs, but when it begins to annoy you too much, bring it in and we'll take care of it. I took it back about 3 months later. I got off of work at 5:15pm and noticed my tire pressure light was on. I took a look and noticed I had a nail in my tire. I called Les Schwab and the woman told me to come in and they could fix it same day although they were closing soon! They got me in right away and quickly repaired my flat! They rebuilt my 2015 Highlander's brakes for $1,300 +/-. A little over the warranty mileage the entire front-end brakes set were trash and we had to spend $700 plus to replace everything. Not long after we heard screeching in the back brakes and took it in to another brake business; pads and rotors were down to "O." Another $500 plus. Either the Les Schwab technicians or the materials were substandard. I can't afford to go to Les Schwab for brakes (and tires, too) any more. They've lost a long-time customer. read more

Horrific experiences and damaged vehicles. We brought our expedition here for new tires, they crashed it into another car in the parking lot. Luckily we had a motorcycle rack and it only destroyed that, but the other person's car was seriously damaged. A month or so later we brought in our Tesla. I specifically asked for Tesla approved tires. After getting the tires my sensors starting going off and we had a weird squeaking noise. I took it into Tesla and turns out this Les Schwab broke one of my tire sensors and two of my hub caps! The tires they put on? Also not Tesla approved tires like I was told. 0/10 don't come here unless you want your car damaged. read more

They got our car in right then and there, found the problem instantly, explained our options, and helped us choose the tire that best suited our budget. We paid a lot less than we thought it would be. They quoted us 30-45 to change the tire and we didn't even wait 30 min before it was fixed and we were back on the road again! I made an online appointment for a tire repair as I had a nail stuck in the tread. The website is easy to navigate and making an appointment was simple. They had many time slots open. After inspecting my tires, the technician told me my tread was too low for them to safely repair the tire and it would need to be replaced. He showed me the depth of my tread in several different spots on my tires using a gauge. I really appreciated him taking the time to explain why a repair would be a bad idea. That said, I was given quotes to replace all 4 tires. The technician raved about the high-end all weather sport tires. Since I have a sporty rear-wheel drive car, I agreed that I want the best traction possible. I knew when I bought this car that nothing was going to be cheap! I looked up the tires online and the price at Les Schwab is comparable to the same ones on Tire Rack. They were able to replace my tires right away with minimal wait time. The shop is nice and clean with lots of comfortable chairs to relax in while waiting for the work to be done. While checking out/paying for the tires, another technician mentioned how he loves these same tires on his car. I like how they were both so confident with this brand and type. As I pulled out of the lot, I could tell the difference right away. I couldn't believe how much smoother the ride felt even at low speed! I also really appreciate all the perks you get with Les Schwab--free tire repair, free rotation and more. I can honestly say I won't go anywhere else for tires. I showed up at 12 and was told car would be ready at 6. So I show up at 5:55 ready to pick it up and lady behind desk says "oh it won't be ready till 7 now, was just about to call you". I would not recommend using any Les Schwab if you live any distance from their service center. THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU. I spent $1200+ on tires...in less than 200 miles one got a flat. In the past, using another tire dealer, they had me take it to the nearest repair place and they reimbursed me for the repair. NOT LES SCHWAB...and I paid more buying tires from them. I thought I was buying service, which is not true. It would be 30 miles for me to drive to the closest Les Schwab...2 miles to a place that can fix a flat. They said to drive it to Reno if I wanted it fixed. That came from the store manager, who, when asked for his name would only give me a first name. Apparently they have enough customers they don't need to provide service of any kind to keep current customers. They no longer have my business. read more

I was hoping my second (different) visit would help change my mind regarding Les Schwab tire centers in Nevada. The store in Virginia balances my tires wrong and caused a leak with one of the hammer on weights. This store fixed it. I asked for all 5 tires to have the air pressure balanced and correctly inflated to 40 psi I was assured it would happen. An hour later I asked the technician if he had done so and he assured me he did it correctly. I left the store and waited for my TPMS to recalibrate but to my dissatisfaction it was correct. I've been coming to this location for years. I was here a few months ago for a nail in my tire. They highly recommended to get an alignment taken care of. One of the mechanics there told me he felt his throat close up due to my coconut air freshener. I honestly felt so bad about it at the time. Last week my tire light came back on. I knew I had to get the alignment done too. I made an online appointment with ease for an appointment this morning Wednesday August 18th at 9am. Last night before my appointment. I made sure to remove my air freshener from my car cause I didn't want the mechanic to have another allergic reaction. Their staff is very dedicated into giving quality care to your car. They showed me the wear on my tires & gratefully answered my questions about my alignment & they checked the cause of my tire light being on. Turned out I needed 4 new tires. I called this shop after discovering one of my tires were flat and I had a broken lug nut. They were willing to take me in so urgently in addition to performing the repair so quickly. The staff was very personable and genuine, customer service was impeccable! They prevented me a giant headache and on top of that did not charge me for the services. (Fixing the hole in my tire and replacing my broken lug nut) It took them less than an hour to get me in, fix it and they were the kindest crew that I've encountered at any car repair shop.
