The flat tire repair was performed today highly efficiently, with great care. Coincidently my vehicle was parked in the bay right next to the showroom so I was able to watch as the pug/patch was performed. Every step was consistent with what the best of the best recommend. Nicely, I was immediately waited on, and the price was extremely fair. I will return to St. Helens Les Schwab the next time I need tire work and/or tire replacement. Kudos specifically to one of their employees (named Caymen) who not only fully answered all my questions when I called yesterday just before closure, but coincidentally was the person who performed the work excellently when I drove in this morning. My vehicle had air suspension so there were extra steps needing to be done to insure it was done exactly as it should have been. Again A+. read more

I was being lazy and didn't want to drive to Costco for a new set of tires. It cost me over 400 dollars for my front two tires. Also just found out that they did not even align the front wheels with the purchase. Don't be fooled by their advertising. They are overpriced and inconsistent. read more

We got a low pressure dashboard message somewhere between Portland and Astoria. Les Schwab was conveniently located to check and adjust the pressure in all tires, and then to provide fascinating information about my car. Even though it gives warning messages, it does not actually have pressure sensors. Instead, the car constantly monitors how fast all the tires are turining, and if one gets out of synch with the others, it spits out a warning. The technicians in St Helens were friendly, efficient, and kind enough to recalibrate the monitoring software, while showing me how to do it myself the next time. In an era where cars don't necessarily come with spare tires, seeing a Les Schwab sign is a great relief. Thank you to the knowledgeable staff. read more

It's built and smelt like all the other Les Schwabs I've ever been to, and the products are fine as usual, but that, of course, is not why I'm leaving a review. I was openly and directly mocked by the technicians after a misunderstanding caused by a language barrier. The work I requested was done wrong on purpose. They parked my car in the disabled spot when complete. I don't know how much closer to the r-word they could have gotten. Absolutely absurd behavior. read more

Possible sabotage suspected. Took my car in for a flat tire, Tech said loose Valve Core and replaced it. Last week I took car in for squeaking wheels. Tech said new front brakes, one rotor and Calipers. $500! I said "Ill think about it and since tires are off if they could rotate my tires (purchased from store) . The Tech was reluctant and said they didnt need rotated. The next morning my tire was flat. My 2 kids have previously worked in the tire business, one at Les Schwab. He said that "yes, some Techs would do that if they didnt like a customer. I called the manager after I got home and he played it off and denied that sabotage never happens at his store. And by the way I called dealer and they said $250 to replace my front brakes and that calipers dont need replaced unless something is wrong with them. read more

My Son had a tie bar replaced brought it back in because the enlinement was not correct. Drop it off at 12 pm still no call at 5 pm. This is supposed to be first come first served. Robert the Manager did such a great job figuring out what the root cause was (he narrowed it down to it being an issue with the tire) which several others in the past were not able to diagnose. He has over 20 years of alignment experience and it shows. I am really happy with the customer service and expertise he provided. I went to the St Helens store and checked on prices for my SUV. I was waited on by a rude guy that thought he was too cool. He offered 4 USED tires for $400. Then said he wanted another $60 to mount and balance. WTF !! I went across the street to Walmart and got 4 new brand name tires out the door for $390. Stay clear of this store !!! read more

Do yourself a favor... Take your business ANYWHERE ELSE. DO NOT BUY BATTERIES HERE. They don't honor the warranty. If your elderly father in law bought a Les Schwab brand battery from them that stopped taking a charge within the pro-rated warranty coverage period and he doesn't personally show up to make the exchange in person WITH proof that he paid for it, then YOU get to pay full price for a new garbage battery that won't last!! What a prize!?! I could get dad to exchange it for me but I'm much happier not troubling him and taking my business elsewhere and avoiding future aggravation with a company that puts profit over people every time. I vow to do my very best to NEVER spend another dime there. I just bought a better battery with more cranking amps from O'Reilly's for the same money with a more durable warranty. Be aware that whatever brings you in to LS they will find roughly $1k worth of issues that they'd be happy to take care of for you today. Every time they've quoted me for work, George from Lively Repair in downtown St. Helens was able to do the same job with better parts for less money. read more

Don't do it...just drive to Scappoose and save yourself the trouble. I am a loyal Les Schwab customer but this location has done me wrong a few times and so I will never go here again, I will just go the extra 6 miles to get it done right. Most recently, I spent two hours of my weekend waiting for them to fix a flat tire. Once it was finally my turn, the service person came out and assured me there was nothing wrong. It was then that we found out they had the wrong tire written down... so I clarify which tire and he comes back again saying there was nothing wrong with my tire... I insisted that it had been going flat all the way to the rim each night, but they said again there was nothing wrong and sent me on my way. Then within a day of leaving it was flat again and I was stuck on the side of the road. I went to the Scappoose branch and lo and behold a short time later they had the nail out (yes the nail was still in it so not sure how they missed that) and I was back on the road. Thanks to this location I wasted a few hours of my time AND was stranded on the side of the road the next day... thanks guys! read more

Took my SUV in for an alignment. Upon inspection, their mechanic came back and informed me that I needed some front end work done before they could perform the alignment. Parts had to be ordered so the alignment was put off until then. Estimate- $275. This gave me time to have my regular mechanic verify what I was being told. Short story, there was no need to replace anything on my SUV's front end. Cancelled St. Helens Schwab appointment. I have since purchased 2 new sets of tires for my vehicles.... None were or will be purchased at this store! read more

So far I've gotten exactly what I expect out of Les Schwab. This location is big, clean, I'm helped pretty quickly upon arriving at the counter, free popcorn, free coffee, plenty of seating, and the wonderful smell of rubber tires... Mixed with popcorn of course. The people here have always been helpful and pleasant to work with. They do get busy. Even at 8:30am on a Saturday, it can take an hour and a half to get your tires rotated... But free popcorn! I can't complain, I know exactly what I'm getting when I go to get my tires maintained and brake work done. It's not like I hang out here on a regular basis, but when I do come in, I get free popcorn and the peace of mind. ... Keep in mind, "an hour, or a little over an hour" means two hours or a little more than two hours. read more

This place has the worst customer service in the state. I've gone there three times & won't be back. The last time I went (early September 2020), I waited and the guy just stood there without saying anything. I had to indicate I was waiting for service. He grunted through the info he needed to collect. said he needed my key & went off. When he saw I was still waiting he said, "You're done!" And how am I supposed to know? Didn't say "Thanks", didn't give an estimated time, didn't elaborate on what had to be done. He needs to be reassigned to stocking shelves if he can't deal with the public. A real jerk. read more

I have gone to Les Schwab in Scappoose since that location opened. I always get excellent service there, even if I have a long wait. My husband noticed that one of my wheels was low on air and filled it up. He told me to go to Les Schwab and have them check it out. Since I was going to the DMV I stopped at the St Helens location and told them that there was a leak in my tire and I needed them to check it out. They were busy, so there was a wait, but that's understandable and expected. When I got called up I was told that there was nothing wrong with the tire and sent on my way. I continued to drive my car, thinking nothing of it, because they told me the tire was fine. After a week or so my husband noticed the tire was low again. He actually accused me of not going in the first place. Then he asked me if the took the wheel off to look at it. I didn't know if they had and I said so but I would assume that they would completely inspect a tire a customer complains has an issue, especially as safety could be at risk. When I didn't have an actual answer to that question, I told him it wasn't my place to tell them how to do their jobs. This time I went to Scappoose Les Schwab on my way to work and told them that the tire was leaking slowly and I needed them to check it out. They came back and told me that there was a bubble in in the tire between the cable and side wall and would get it all patched up and on my way. I honestly can't say why St Helens couldn't fix it. If they brushed me off because I had the sense to put air in the tire before I drove on it and they just assumed it was fine and I didn't know what I was talking about, or what, but I will always go out of my way to visit Scappoose from here on out. read more

I went here to buy wheels and tires instead of the place where I work because I wanted to support my community. Sadly I had an awful expereince. Lady with the spiky hair was rude, and they didnt show pride of the work they did. Told me I needed $2000 worth of work down and when I took it elsewhere, it was $500.00. Ended taking the truck back to Les Schwab in Scappoose where they re balanced all the tires because they were out of balance. I spent $2500 and felt like we were treated very poorly. read more

Been a happy Les Schwab customer for a long time, but here's the latest - got a full set of tires this morning and figured out less than 40 miles later that a hub cap was missing. I had a flat. They fixed it and the the lady surprised me and said no charge. I was honest and told them that I am out of town and was not a customer of their shop. She smiled and said no problem. I wanted to offer a gratuity for the technician but she said they can't accept. Talk about great service. The waiting area is also very clean. I went to one tire store and got a quote for $694 for four tires mounted and balanced. I wanted to support my local merchant, so I went to Les Schwab in St Helens. I was greated by a rude woman that treated me like I was a nusance. A guy waited on me with an attitude, I got a quote for similar tires for $1040 !!!!!!!!!!!! Then they tried to sell me USED TIRES FOR $400 !! Then he wanted another $60 to balance the $400 used tires!! Then the same guy asked me (very unprofessional) how much I paid for my car. All the guys had an attitude and not one person smiled the entire time I was there. They must not need more business with their shiney new store. GO ELSE WHERE !!!!!!!! read more
