I called this store to inquire about having a tire installed on my rim and wanted to know what they would charge. They quoted me $50 I was thinking this was pretty high for mounting a new tire. I called another Les Schwab in Bend and they quoted me $10 which seemed like a fair price. The LesSchwab in Sisters is obviously not following the guidelines of the Les Shwab pricing policy. My suggestion to anyone looking for an honest auto repair business is go to a different Les Schwab store. read more

We had a flat and a busted rim on a dangerous mountain road Called four different Road service companies. We waited 8 hours for other companies to repair our flat and none even showed up. Shawn drove at least 20 miles, brought tire and rim and had us back on the road in about 30 minutes. And at a price only half of what other companies wanted. read more

Cody from Les Schwab came through for us like a champ. We were stranded with no tire shops open. Someone who came by went over there for us after they were closed just to check it out (unnamed angel). And then with worried heads in hands, Cody showed up with the one tool we needed. He wanted to help get the tire on but he had just had knee surgery. With arms thrown about him in the most thankful of hugs, I thanked him over and over. And we didn't have the ten bucks cash for the tool so he let me call the next day and at with my card!! Cody and LesSchwab came through again. Stopped in to get some chains this past week and was impressed with the staff working. They were moderately busy but still warm and friendly when you walk in. I didn't mind the wait to get my chains as they were informative as to the time frame until I would be helped and it afforded me an opportunity to watch them handle the customers in the store. Everyone here has always been great, however this review is specifically for JR. came in this morning because the place that changed my oil the other day failed to do any thing else they said they would do‍ anyways I pulled up to get air put in my tires. It was snowing out and the parking lot was full as to be expected in the beginning of winter. JR was helping another man. Over all the place was a mad house. He told me he would be right with me. He finished with the other man's tires and promptly came over to me with a smile and was fully willing to help me. He got me set up and ready to go. I really appreciated the attitude and how kind and willing to help me he was. I'm sure it can get frustrating when everyone and their mother want to get air put in their tires all day. Instead of making the poor service experience right, I was on the receiving end of a dialogue in regards to a personal story / situation that yielded him out of the office. And as a result if that time away, he couldn't really say what was or wasn't done based on time gone by. The waiting room is large and comfortable and the restrooms are very nice. Also, the store is within close walking distance to stores and restaurants. HUGE COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN! Make any and all appointments over the phone. Here's why: Their website is limited on why you want to make an appointment. I have been a Les Schwab customer for over 10 yrs. I've spent several thousand dollars on my vehicles from my Honda, Jeep & Silverado. Recently, after buying new tires, struts & having an allignment done, I was told I needed rear brakes soon on my Silverado by the tech at this Sister's location. Note's were even made on that RO regarding that recommendation. So, I made an on-line appointment 10 days ago for what I thought was an appointment to get my brakes serviced. I even put notes about that tech's recommendation in the "additional comments" area. I showed up for my appointment today and even reminded the service writer that I wanted my rear brakes done "per the previous tech's recomendation." I specifically told Raymond "I'm here to get my brakes done, tires rotated & safety check." After waiting almost an hour, the tech assigned to my RO, tells me "I need rear brakes" Duh! It gets better...Surprise, surprise they don't have the parts needed to do the job & he needed to order them. Frickin Great Scott, I purposely came here and drove 24 miles from Redmond. I was extremely disappointed & very aggravated. I had to wait almost 2 weeks for this appointment only to be told it wasn't clear that I wanted brakes. How do I make it any clearer? I made the online appointment, I told the service writer that I was there for brakes and even reminded him twice....all the good that did! Jeeez! The part that is most aggravating, is the manager never offered to see what went wrong with the communication. The tech stood there and argued with me about it as the service writer, Raymond, stood meekly silent. That was a very weak thing to do and is NOT how customer service is supposed to work. I have been coming to this Schwabs ever since I started driving. Raymond and Jeff are always my go to guys, they are always fast and fair. Even when money is tight for me they always get me back on the road. I purchased some tires that did not last the entirety of the mileage warranty. They gave me a prorated credit and into some better tires at a very good price. It always a good place to stop before the drive over the pass in the winter, make sure you got what you need. These guys are the best. I was driving a rental car with my 3 year old in the back and my son opened the door while we were driving. So I pulled over to close it and put on the child locks. Somehow the child lock broke and the door would not close. Schwab Tire center was the only thing around close to a service station. I pulled in 5 mintues before they closed and three guys came out to help fix it. Took like 5 minutes for them to figure it out, I offered to pay and they wouldn't let me. I didn't have any cash to give them so I thanked them and went on my way. They were super friendly and really helped me out of a jam. Thank you guys!!! read more

Well, this is more of a kick myself review. I called Les Schwab to ask about getting front brakes put on. They gave me an estimate and they were significantly cheaper than the dealer. But then I called another garage and found them to be even less expensive, and they said that they could also get me in earlier...so I went to the second garage. I called Les Schwab back to cancel my appointment and talked to Jeff, who was so kind, let me cancel my appointment (even though they had already ordered the parts) and he also explained why their estimate was a little more... they were replacing the calipers, which the other place wasn't go to do. Again, I went to the other place and they fixed my front brakes, but they were not friendly and took twice the time they had estimated and never gave an apology. I have taken my auto to the Sisters, Oregon Les Schwab for a number of other services and always left feeling good. If I had to do it over again, I would have chosen them to do my front brakes. As it turns out, I will need to replace my back brakes soon and I will be going to Les Schwab in Sisters, Or. I know that they will be professional and friendly and do a great job. It is true that I might have saved a few dollars with the other garage... but it was not worth the time or the money. With Les Schwab I always leave this store feeling great and knowing that everything has been done well! read more

I was out of town on a business trip. My wife had a tire that was designed to run flat so she did not notice an issue until I was out of town. We are new in Sisters. I was wondering whether someone would try to take advantage of my wife and overcharge her. No way. The folks at Les Schwab in Sisters were super nice and totally ethical. $13 to fix the flat. As much as we hate leaving a poor review, sometimes you just have let the chips fall. Memorial weekend we headed East form the Coast on our way to Condon, OR.. Traveling in our Motor Home near Detroit Lake we noticed our alternator wasn't charging and AMP light was coming on, by time we made it to Sister's, the nearest facility our AMP light was on fully and the alternator gauge was dropping. We pulled into Les Schwab Sister's @ about 5:30pm. Explained our problem to the young men that came out to assist, they were very friendly, they got the tools needed and checked the alternator, no output. We had to keep going as no one had an alternator until the next Tues., we had them replace both batteries to the sum $340 plus for 2 batteries so we could continue on. They had to remove a cover going to the air cleaner to gain access to the RV battery, making the alternator very easy to see. Since we couldn't find a another alternator between Sisters and Madras we headed on to our destination. Made it to Condon but barely before dark and our AMP light was on again. Friday AM my brother-in-law and I opened the hood, first thing my brother-in-law said is, "your alternator belt is gone!". Thankfully that was an easy fix from the local parts store. The employees at Les Schwab should have seen the missing belt. After the weekend and we made it back to the Coast, we went to do some wiring in the coach, to our surprise the battery cables came off without a tool, not only had LS not tightened the battery cables, but they had not been cleaned the cable ends. I write this review as someone that had worked for Les Schwab for 10 years and took pride in my work. I'm surprised how Les Schwab has changed over the years. GREAT Service! We had an accident with our Class A motorhome - bent rim and ruined tire. We got into the RV park outside of Sisters around 4:30 pm. We called Les Schwab in Sisters and they had a guy out within 30 minutes with the tire and rim we needed. They got the old tire and wheel off and replaced it with the new one right at our RV site. Great service - no problems! We were able to enjoy our stay knowing we could make the trip back home. read more

I'll begin by saying I own four vehicles, all of which roll on Les Schwab tires. So I purchased a new battery for my kids car at an auto part store. Came in today for new tires for the same car. I asked if they would install the battery (since I was here buying a new set of tires), knowing there would be a charge. Anyhow, according to the first tech I was dealing with, they don't install something they don't sell. (He was courteous enough to confirm this with the guys inside) While speaking with the first Tech outside, another employee (Austin) suggested to sell me a NEW battery (Plus install) to replace the NEW battery I just bought. I would've left well enough alone without this guys sarcasm. Incidently, this is the second issue I've had at this location (1st being synthetic motor oil spilled and not cleaned on the block of my BMW- I bring this up because I realized it when I smelled it coming through my vents). In a day where consumers have so many options, franchisees such as Taylor Tire (DBA Les Schwabs of Sisters) should train their employees on how not to treat a customer. Needless to say, Taylor Tire has lost a customer. read more

We don't live in Oregon and we were visiting Oregon. Discovered a flat in a rental car tire and a kind gentleman (not in Les Schwab - a complete stranger) helped fill it with a compressor and recommended Les Schwab for check-up. It is stressful driving in mountains with car trouble and somehow we drove 60 miles to get to this facility. A young gentleman (Les Schwab employee) quickly came out and asked how he could help - we described the situation and he immediately took the car in, while we used their clean restrooms and sat in the waiting room. A small nail causing tire air leak was the problem - it was fixed in less than half an hour and the fine gentleman brought the car right in front of the waiting room. What a great, great example of old-fashioned American service, which is becoming so rare these days. And did I mention that he refused to charge us anything!!! Plus he gave us some good pointers about where to watch the Three Sisters (mountains), as it was our first visit in that area. We promised to write a good review for them, so here it is. This company always takes such good care of me! Not only do they usually come greet me as I am pulling in and ask "how can we help?", they do it with a positive smile. I just arrived with a screw in my tire, 4 minutes before closing time. They had my Honda Element in the bay, tire off, fixing the problem within minutes. Having recently lost my husband and alone in a new town, was feeling overwhelmed. When I had an instant blowout on the side of the road coming home from a grief workshop, I was left on the side of the road without a clue. I was unfamiliar with my husband's truck and where anything was. I thought of calling the Les Schwab in Sisters and they came right out. I cannot tell you how great the young man was in helping me with what I knew nothing about, and even followed me into the shop, replaced my tire free of charge, and gave me lugs I could not find for the spare. They even stayed after closing to make sure I felt safe and was on my way. I cannot explain the great feeling of having a company like this nearby when you are in my position. A couple of weeks ago I went to this tire center to have a flat fixed and the tire balanced. The tech didn't put the hub cover on all the way and it came off as I returned home. I contacted Raymond and he immediately offered to replace my hub cover at his cost. After a couple of mis-starts he had to purchase a brand new cap from Toyota. This part was several times more expensive than the service I had paid for. I really appreciate Raymond stepping up for his employee's small mistake. This is the way a good business is run. I would certainly use this business again for all my tire/ service needs. read more

We were traveling through Sisters with our Dodge Ram 3500 pickup towing or 34' fifth wheel. We managed to hang up our steering gear on a wooden post at the campground about 5 miles out of town. The incident caused our steering stabilizer to bend making our truck un-steerable. I was able to unbolt and saw off the u-bolts holding the stabilizer and was able to limp in to Les Schwab. I talked to Derek at the front desk and he immediately understood the problem. He researched available parts and was able to order the part and separate u-bolts (that were not included with the replacement part). Since he was worried about me driving with the damaged stabilizer, he personally removed the damaged part and told me that the replacement part would arrive the next day by noon. I showed up at that time and, within an hour, the part was installed. What could have been an expensive, time-consuming repair, turned out to be painless. Thank you Derek and Les Schwab!! read more
