came in for a simple tire inspection/repair at Vacaville Tire Center, not to buy new tires. I was told to drive forward into the tire area. A large man (who I later learned was the owner) walked up and immediately said, "Start the car." No greeting. No explanation. I asked, "What for?" He repeated, "Start the car." I asked again why. He then sarcastically said, "Do you know how to start your car?" Only after multiple times asking did he finally explain that he wanted me to slowly roll backward so he could visually check for a nail. That's fine -- but basic communication matters. Simply saying why would have avoided all of this. Instead, he escalated and told me I "didn't have a brain" and that I was an idiot who didn't know how to start my car. Completely unacceptable. I also asked why they don't use proper tire inspection methods (like removing the tire and checking for leaks in water). He said they don't have that equipment. The entire interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and hostile. It honestly seemed like he was irritated that I wasn't buying tires and was "only" getting a repair. Everyone has bad days -- but taking it out on customers is not professional. Beware of the owner's attitude at Vacaville Tire Center. I will not be returning. For anyone reading this: A1 Tire (which has strong reviews) is literally on the next street over on Brown Street. I recommend going there instead. read more

Busted one of my tires and drove over here as it was nearby. Went for one of their used tires - looked good as new to me - and paid very little for it. Quick and easy service, in and out in less than 10 minutes. No exorbitant service fees (I just paid for the tire). TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! IF YOURE A FEMALE AVOID THIS SHOP THEY HAVE ZERO RESPECT FOR WOMEN!! I came here a few years ago to get a tire changed, and was told to drive up on the lift. The tech then proceeeded to lift my car up while I was still in it, resulting in a dent when I opened my door. this is incident #1. Today I decided to take my mom here for a tire plug, not because they have great service, ONLY because they were the only ones open. I wasn't greeted with kindness like you would expect. Last year I was driving through town on the 80, alone, when my tire disintegrated. I was nervous going to a No-name shop. They were closest. As I arrived one car in the parking lot was being picked up, another car just finished, mine went directly in the shop. $50 for a used tire included mount balance, disposal of the old. Seriously can not beat that!!! And, they had a choice of tires for me. Fast forward 30,000 miles, I have a mail in a different tire. American tires said that the one I replaced is in excellent shape, but the other three need to be replaced. I like this shop a year ago. I love them now. I wish I were closer to get three more tires. read more

I wanted to give a huge amount of kudos to these guys. We pulled in on Sunday with a flat. We pulled off the freeway when the tire alert went off on the dash and this tire shop happened to be right there. Our tire was wasted. We bought 4 new tires. They mounted, balanced and installed all 4 tires in 20 minutes. This is the fastest tire replacement ever. The pricing was awesome and the service was impressive. I highly recommend this shop. Price and service beats Costco and all the other brand name tire shops. The team was fast and friendly. Hats off for taking care of us! read more

DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!! The guys is a cheat, a liar, lazy, and does shotty work THAT WILL JEOPARDIZE YOUR SAFETY!!! I called him and he quoted me $45 for a tire. He said it was the only one and it was brand new. I ask him out the door, it's 45$, and he said yes and I confirmed with him several times, the out the door price. I arrived and he tries to tell me it's now $75 because the tire is almost new! THAT TIRE BRAND NEW WAS ONLY 85$! He brings out an old tire and tries to say that one was $45, not the new one, when he told me the new one was the only one in stock for $45 out the door on the phone. I should have left, but I didn't. I ended up paying $50 for the tire to be installed. He takes the tire off and tries to steal my custom valve stem cap and replace it with a different one. I watched him look at my cap and intentionally swap it with a different one. I took my cap back from where he tried to hide it and did not confront him about it. He installed the tire, and asked for payment. He asked me card or cash, and I said card. He sees me pull out my wallet, and sees that I have cash and then he says, sorry only cash, the machine is closed for the day. I was over it at this point and paid cash and left. I started driving and my tire sensor says dangerously high pressure in the tire he just changed. I stopped and had to take air out so it doesn't pop, and I see that he has put the tire on backwards and the thread is backwards. It clearly says "inside" on the outside. Both of these errors are extremely dangerous. The backwards tread can be deadly in rainy seasons. I go back the next day 30 minutes before closing. I told him the tire was backwards and that it needed to be flipped. He said that that was a separate problem. He starts saying that my car is shaking because of a separate car problem, but my car wasn't shaking, I just came to flip the tire the right direction. He assumed that his error was causing my car to shake. There was no one in the shop and he said he was too busy to change it. He said to come back the following day at 730pm. I told him that he was going to be closed at that time, and he said to come and he'd take care of me. I went to my car and another person came after me wanting to mount 2 tires, and this bastard does it because he was getting paid from it and not fixing his mistake. And he still wouldn't do mine. I came the next day early at 715 and saw him trying to close up. He said that he was closed and that he wasn't going to change it even though we had an agreement. I was standing on the chain that he uses to lock the shop, and he tried to yank it out from under me. He still did not fix his mistake. Save your time, money, and safety and DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!! He is one of the dirtiest business people I have ever met in my life. I am surely convinced that the good reviews for the business are fakes or anomalies. read more

Excellent, super fast 'while you wait', accurate service. Beats all prices. Got 3 new tires, balanced and mounted, $260, 20 min. in and out of pit, no waiting. They have used, good conditioned, matching tires as well and some rims. I've popped a 1 year old tire on a full set, and they had a matching exact tire with the same wear on it. Saved me $150 on a $225 tire. If you know what you want/need, I always go to these guys. read more

Wow all I have to say is this place definitely earned 5 star service! The owner gave me the best deal in town and took care of my me as far as getting tires for my Buick LaCrosse. He was so respectful and honest, he really made my day with his outstanding service. I really appreciate business owners like him very upstanding character. Used to love this place but the angry middle eastern employee they have running it now knows NOTHING about taking care of the customer. He is rude and treats you like you are stupid and don't know what is going on. I purchased a tire on Tuesday for 40.00. A decent tire, not old, good tread. He swore to me it was a good tire and that he balanced it (this turned out to be a lie). By 4pm the next day it was flat. I brought it back and there was a leak in the sidewall. Then without even discussing it with me he grabbed another tire from the back and put it on my rim. I walked up to it and the tire had no tread and was all frayed on the edges. I am sure it was illegal for him to even put that tire on. When I pointed out that he is putting on a dangerous tire in much much worse condition than the tire he sold me he offered me a 5.00 discount. I said not that's unreasonable so he threw a fit and put my old flat tire on and then even tried to short me in my refund. Moral of the story is here if you are going to dick a loyal customer around then be indignant about it not only I won't ever come back, but I will tell everyone in Vacaville how completely awful your shop is. read more

I found my new tire shop for my cars, truck and trailers. Vacaville tire shop was awesome, he showed me a coulle tires and ended up ordering exactly what I wanted. They came in next day and he installed them. He also offers free balancing and rotation for the life of the tires. And he was $100's of dollars less than competitors. I even checked the Dot numbers to make sure they were new tires. Amazingly he get his tires from the same warehouse as other competitors. He doesnt try to upsell you on rediculous kits that are not necessary... I first went to find tires at Les Shwaub, walked out when i got the rediculous prices. Firestone offered a buy 3 get 4th free...but only after they marked the price of the tires up high enough to cover the cost of the 4th tire and offered a $14 discount, but charged for the TPMS kit that they dont even install. just another junk charge they throw in there cause no one asks about it...Those shops are so rediculously expensive. I still cant believe I saved over $400.00 on the exact same tires i tried to get at Les Shwaub... I will be going to Vacaville Tire Shop from now on and am recommending to everyone I know. read more

I looked to Yelp and called a couple of places to get price quotes and Vacaville Tire Shop gave me the best price - $30 each! Woot! I headed my way there and they were installed in about 20 minutes (I bought 2 for the rear - Ha! Cuz I'm that cheap!). Don't waste your money. I took two rims to have tires mounted and balanced on a Sunday, because no one else was open. I didn't think much about quality since I was just having tires mounted. Well I guess I should have. When the guy working there was mounting my tires he put my rims in the tire changer he didn't use the nylon covers that go over the metal grabbers. Needless to say my brand new rims are scratched up pretty bad from this place. I do not recommend it to anyone. read more

Why I gave this piece of crap place another chance I will never know. I put 2 used tires on my Prius for $71 ($10 more than before). The very next day I got a deluxe oil change and was informed the left tire was a 6 and good while the right was a 4 and in the yellow range. Wtf? Yes, I get that their used tires but to me that means gently used, both the approximate same size and in the green range. Heck, my rear tires were both 5s and he told me I also needed to replace those! I went back to the tire place and tried to give the guy the chance to do the right thing and replace the 4 with a better tire. He was extremely rude. He argued with me over Jiffy Lube's report. When he couldn't argue the validity of it anymore he just yelled at me that I should've bought new tires and what the hell did I expect buying used tires. Well jerkoff, I expect a reputable place to give me gently used tires in the green range with similar wear. Why would I pay the same amount for both tires when one is significantly more worn? Why would I pay to replace a tire with a tire with more wear than the back tires you told me needed replacing? He said he would give me a refund and give me my old tires back which I said I wanted to do. But then he flat out refused to do it! I got into a screaming match with him (it was just us 2 there) and left wishing the worst on this place. They've screwed me over for the last time. I have 2 bits of advice for you. 1. I found tires on Walmart's website that are $33 new and have a multi year warranty. Even with tax and installation it probably isn't more than $90 for two, a helluva lot better than $71 for tires almost bad. 2. If you are gonna take a risk with this place, use a credit card so that if and when things go bad you can dispute the charges. I am doing just that but made the mistake of paying with a debit card. UPDATE: one of the tires has a slow leak (this is the one with more tread) rendering it flat if I don't put air in every couple of days. Luckily though my bank was able to refund me the $. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE THEY ARE ACTUAL GARBAGE PEOPLE THAT WILL TRY TO PAWN OFF GARBAGE ON YOU THEN TELL YOU IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT!!! read more
