Our 20 yr old Rheem water heater was on it's way out ( slight leak ) so we contacted Lesco for an estimate. They came and assessed the situation and then e-mail two written estimates the next day ( one with an anode package which extends the life and warranty of the Rheem water heater, which we took . ) An appointment was set for a week or so later and the installation was completed. After a few days I took a very close look at the crimp type compression connections ( I dislike these immensely but it now seems to be standard in plumbing) and noticed a tiny drip from one side. Nothing major ( a drip formed every few hours ) but we notified Lesco and a tech came over a few days later and cut out and replaced the connection. Terrible, terrible, terrible They diagnosed the problem day one as faulty hot water tank (my tank was only 2 years old). Next day still leaking, new technician diagnoses problem as faulty valve. Never needed a new tank!! Charged me for both!! Outrageous!! To your response--Facts First The tank was not in basement. The puddle of water on the first day and the next day was in exactly the same spot. I have pics and doubtful that two "different" problems are going to show the very exact same symptom in the exact same spot. My husband identified the valve leak not your technician. Your technicians misdiagnosed the problem. OWN IT. People make mistakes --even after working 20 years. Stop trying to blame Home Depot equipment and the customer. Tanks rarely fail after 2 years of operation. Valve failure is much more likely. Replacement with a "professional grade" tank at twice the price of a regular tank was unnecessary. Charging me labor for both visits within two days is a stretch as well. You should have tried to work with the customer to resolve rather than digging your heels in with the obvious errors made!! BTW you didn't do anything special with a credit on the tank. Anytime you have a tank warranty and it fails, you get a credit from the manufacturer. This is not my first rodeo!!! read more

We had an emergency plumbing issue and called them first thing in the morning and they dispatched someone within two hours. Service was fast and very professional. While my pine was getting fixed I called them again to see if I could have someone come and fix my air conditioning which decided to act funny the night before. One of their technicians (Steve) came out to our house to perform Spring maintenance on our AC system last Friday (for $89 per unit). Everything was in working order, but he did alert us to a couple of issues to keep an eye on. Fast forward a couple of days and the outside temperature rose such that we needed our AC. Marco called me at 11, a little early, that he was here. I let him in, and he was extremely professional. He looked at the tub, gave me the cost of the process, and got my signature, then went to work. At 11:20, he said, "There you go!" and had me check the tub to make sure it worked, and it did. Like many of you, I was trolling Yelp to find a company that I could TRUST! We have had ongoing issues with our sewer line and HVAC unit. We've obtain multiple quotes, inspections and so on, not just looking for a good company, but good pricing and more importantly a company of my choosing to spend my money. A company that not only has good intentions, but delivers superior customer service, professional strategic analysis of your issue, coupled with the best equipment and personal to complete your project on time, on budget without you having to project manage the whole thing. Long story short, Mike Lesco and team conducted a site visit for the sewer line while I was at work (in another state). Lesco used a camera to figure the problem; no speculation, no extra cost, simply "I found your issues". FYI for this project we had two problems; not just the use of (the old school) Orange-berg piping which basically acted like a flower pot for tree roots, and it was also warped. I was told by another so-called reputable company - that the interior house floors would have to be torn up I order to fix the problem (my floors are heated), Not the case thou !!. As you may know, that could have cost me about $6k (say goodbye heated floors). Lesco diagnosis saved me 50% of the so-called reputable company's quote. Lesco quote for the replacement of our complete HVAC system was better than all the others, however, the company wasn't able to conduct financing at this time as they transition from one bank to another. Our experience with this company was completely unprofessional, and I want to warn people not to make the same mistake we did in waiting for a quote from them. About 3 weeks ago, we had Kevin come out to a house we purchased to estimate the costs for installing AC. At this time, we informed him that we would be doing a renovation that would be starting the following week. 3 weeks go by, and we hear nothing about our estimate. My wife called about a week and a half ago and was told Kevin was out - there was no return call. Finally, I called and was told we would get an estimate the next day. When the next day comes, Kevin calls and tells us he cannot do the work because they are booked for the next three weeks. When they are ready, our renovation will be complete, and apparently he cannot do the work once that has happened. This is the first time he ever told us he needed to do the work while the renovation was proceeding. When I asked why it took three weeks to hear back, he told us he was "busy." End result: We wasted three weeks waiting to hear back on a quote that never materialized. Had we known, we could have gone with another AC company and started work immediately. read more

Wow, I can't say enough good things about these guys and the work they just did in my house. We have an old house and we're looking to finish the basement. We had a lot of water and gas lines running below the beams which restricted how high we could go with the ceiling. A lot of the lines were old (probably original to the house) so in addition to re-routing lines and getting them up in the beams we had them replaced. Let me start from the beginning. I procrastinated pretty much all summer to call a plumber until one day I was home from work and decided to call Lesco (based on positive reviews on here). The woman I spoke with was very pleasant, asked all the right questions, and informed me that I would be receiving a call within the next couple of days so someone could come look at the work needed. Well, I received a call in less than 2 hours and Mike was at my house within 2 hours of my initial call. When Mike arrived, I feel like all I had to tell him was that we were looking to finish the basement and he immediately knew what he had to do. He walked around the basement, identified all of the piping that needed to be replaced and re-routed, made some recommendations that I hadn't really thought of, and he promised an estimate right away. I received the estimate the following day and was so thrilled with the very reasonable cost I approved it right away and we scheduled the work to be done just a week later. Mike and his crew showed up on the day promised. The job was definitely 2 days of work, but Mike was able to secure more of his crew and they got the entire job done in a single day. To top it all off, they replaced my dryer vent (which they did on their own accord), and they serviced my boiler for the winter. When they were done they walked me through everything they did, showed me where all of the water and gas shutoffs were, explained in detail how I do maintenance on my boiler, and gave me an opportunity to ask any questions. Every single one of them seemed like they legitimately cared about the job and they were so knowledgeable about everything. They did everything right, and I'm excited that after living in our house for almost 2 years now, we've finally found our plumber. read more

We were having problems with our AC freezing up on a fairly regular basis. I took all of the steps that I could take to help to try and fix the problem and it did not help. After getting some recommendations and reading reviews for multiple local companies, I decided to call Lesco. Andrew, the tech that came out to see what was wrong, was extremely professional, personable and knowledgeable about what our issue was. He made some recommendations and after a testing things out he indicated that our refrigerant was on the low end and needed to be topped off. He refilled the refrigerant and our problem seems to be fixed. I would definitely recommend Lesco and I will be calling them again next spring for a tune up or if we have any other issues. read more

I will try to keep this short. We have been having an issue with our 2 year old boiler for months. Had one Company come out 3 times (JMC Quality Air and Heating) and could not figure out the problem. Enter Mike from Lesco Plumbing Heating and Cooling, NO LIE within 5 minutes he knew the boiler was cracked inside and leaking hence it not working. This all happened on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving which I was hosting and already had not had heat 4 days! He provided a quote on site and I had no choice but had to replace the 2 year old boiler. He went above and beyond to get to me on Wednesday morning IN A SNOWSTORM (the day before Thanksgiving), and he is taking care of returning the boiler to the manufacturer and seeing if I can get some $$ back on a warranty because it was cracked on the inside. He and his crew were not only professional but neat, pleasant and VERY polite and they also went above beyond to the point where they left and then Mike called one technician back to my house because the radiator wasn't working properly he came back and fixed it! Lesco is responsive, friendly and has excellent office staff. I recently had an issue with my A/C. Another company was assigned to me by AHS and they were awful (JMC). They were about to replace my entire A/C unit until Andrew from Lesco came by for a tune up.
