I was hesitant to order from here after reading some reviews, but I'm glad I decided to order my moms custom retirement cake here! The banana cake with buttercream frosting and peanut butter filling was delicious! Perfect texture, not hard or soggy. They used fondant and an edible printer for the designs. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because 1.) the lettering and apple logo on top weren't the greatest (some letters different widths than others and the cut out of the apple wasn't perfect, but hey, no ones perfect). 2.) the woman I placed the order with was kind of rude in tone at first, but she ended up making helpful suggestions to make my cake turn out better, which I appreciated. And 3.) they wouldn't send me a photo of the cake before I picked it up, which I could see being an issue if they didn't get something right on someone's cake, that way they could try to fix it before pickup. We live in Georgia and needed a cake for my Aunt and Uncles 65th Wedding Anniversary. We found Lesley's Creative Cakes on the internet. She had good reviews, so we went with her. Our experience was nothing like the others we have read. We sent her a picture of a 65 cake and asked for it but out of cupcakes. She said that she would do that and we agree on a price. We sent her a $50 deposit. At 1 pm on the day of delivery we messaged Lesley and asked if it was still ready for the 3 pm delivery. Her response was "what would be the earliest preferably in the morning". We said that "it is being delivered today, right?" She said "NVM my days are messed up." It sounds and looks like she did not have the date correct and did not make the cake. When she asked for final payment, we asked for a picture and to be honest - what she sent was a complete joke. Any 5 year old could have done what she did. We asked for our money back, she said she will fix it. She added candy to the top of each and added some live flowers to the tray. Still no good. We again asked for our deposit back and she has refused. It was too late to do anything for my Aunt and Uncle. We are in a dispute through paypal now. Hopefully they will see that she did not deliver what was asked for. I have the whole text message thread that went with this for proof. read more
