4/11/26 Fisrt visit to this Gluten-free business. Located in a fairly large strip mall where my hair stylist is located, SW corner of Val Vista & Elliot in Gilbert. Parking 5/5 This is a very busy plaza and parking can be challenging but today we arrived ~ 3:15 and spaces were available. Service 5/5 Great employee greeted us and shared information about the business and variety of products offered. Food 5/5 Lots of options and trying them all wasn't in the diet for today. The one that got my attention was their Carmel Pecan Rookie, rich, fudgy chocolate cookie wrapped around cinnamon roll center then topped with a generous pour of Pecan sauce. So so wrong but so so good. Is your sweet-tooth calling, Sweet Impastries my friends-SYOY!

As a celiac girly, I was really excited to visit and try this bakery, but after our first experience, I'm honestly not sure if I'll be back. I'm not sure if it was assumptions being made or discrimination, but the experience felt off from the moment we walked in. We entered before another couple and were clearly separate parties, yet the man at the counter chose to assist the couple who came in after us first. He was very polite, attentive, and friendly with them, while we were left standing there feeling overlooked. They were able to order, check out, and leave before we were even helped, despite us arriving first. We still decided to support the business and tried a few items. The brownies were unfortunately very dry, though the cinnamon rolls were delicious. The only issue was that we were asked if we wanted them warmed up, and after saying yes, they were still served cold. Overall, the whole experience felt unwelcoming, almost like they just wanted us out of there. It was uncomfortable watching the difference in treatment between the white couple and us--it didn't feel the same, and it was hard not to notice. I truly wanted to love this place, but first impressions matter.

best gluten free cake i have ever had wow girls there are so sweet and it is so clean inside

Service was very friendly and the place was clean! I grabbed some gluten free cookies, cinnamon buns, and a vegan carrot cake. I was given instructions on how to eat if not eaten immediately which was helpful. So far I've only had the cookies n cream cookie/cinnamon bun and normally I'm not a fan of gluten free desserts but this one hit the spot.

Walking in to such warm welcomes from fresh and friendly faces is such a wonderful feeling! Sweet Impastries is so neat and clean! Everything I could see on display was so tempting and it smelled so good inside! I didn't know they were here so it was a nice surprise to find them. Although I am not in need of gluten free items we know several people that have issues. I can't wait to share my discovery with my friends! I got a cookie and a brownie and they had a great texture and taste! You can't tell it's gluten free!!! Gluten free choices here won't steer you wrong!

According to NYU Langone Health, about one-third of Americans say that due to health concerns, they want to reduce the amount of gluten they consume, or eliminate it altogether. At Sweet Impastries, they are 100% gluten-free with vegan/dairy free options. I had recently brought some gluten-free goodies to a friend's pool party as I knew she was trying to cut gluten out of her diet. As a person who laughs at dairy in the face, even though I'm lactose-intolerant, I gotta admit that there wasn't a single bad bite here. I didn't miss the gluten! The staff here is amazing. I believe the older gentleman might be the owner but he was insanely charismatic and magnetic. I found myself leaning towards him, joking with him, even though the line behind me was growing. He was like this with everybody. Personable service, good eats, and gluten-free! Come here!

Nothing is free anymore. Not even the gluten! When Joyce saw this on Instagram, she forced us to go the next day. She has a friend and colleague that is gluten sensitive and since we were heading to a pool party at her place, she found it as a good reason to stop by this place. It's a cozy place. All the items are gluten-free and they have some vegan friendly options as well. While the ladies enjoyed all the treats, I found myself missing the gluten. Texturally it's just not the same. The flavor of good though. I can admit that I'm not the targeted demographic but I can recommend this place to my GF people. Give them a try.

I decided to try this new gluten free pastry shop to give it a chance. I tried the mini cookie and mini chocolate cake bite. The mini cookie was extremely dry, and not fresh. It's not what i expected but oh well. I was not able to eat the mini cookie. The cake bite was better-not amazing, but not as dry and went well with tea. I probably won't return but, a good option for folks who need gluten free treats.

There are only a handful of places in the area that specialize in gluten free, so if you have celiac or a gluten allergy, this is a good option. I don't not have either; however, I've tried products from other gluten free businesses because of curiosity. Some have been amazing, and some have been misses. The pistachio rookie from Sweet Impastries falls somewhere in the middle. It's basically a cookie stuffed with a cinnamon roll. This is sounds like a good concept, and I will say that it had a good exterior crust, but the cinnamon roll inside does nothing for the cookie. The cinnamon roll not only tasted dry, but I think this also caused the cookie to eat slightly dry ... think a baked dough that is then wrapped in another dough and baked again. The result will most likely be a dry interior. If they could swap the stuffing for like a cream cheese filling, buttercream like filling, oreo filling, or cake ball like filling, I think this would be better. Just my opinikn. Also I would note that their cinnamon rolls are much much smaller in person, so therefore a quarter of one is extremely small. For $6.95, I'd pass on the rolls.

WOOOWWWW!!! Amazing bakery with delicious vegan options and every single item gluten-free. I've been to Spain and this is as fresh as I remember eating over seas. It will crumble and soften perfectly. Well done and will be back! Everyone there was super kind, knowledgeable, and the place had a very open layout. The mini cakes are expensive for about $12 but beyond amazing. The vegan gluten free raspberry chocolate especially with the tart jelly on top and at the middle was divine. 5,000 stars. Make the drive!

This bakery is a hidden gem. Maybe not so hidden because they sell out fast. The brownies are so good and fudgie. I don't have any dietary restrictions to require gluten free these items do not taste any different then regular baked items. They are phenomenal. Service is so kind and helpful. Such a cute bakery smells so good the moment you walk in. Can't wait to try the cinnamon rolls.

Sweet Impastries opened just a couple of days ago, last Saturday, so I was super excited to come try it! Make sure you follow their instagram for updates as they have sold out early each day! I came during my lunch break and there was a line, but the line moved quickly and there was a large abundance of baked goods. I got a carrot cake cupcake (vegan), a pistachio cinnamon roll stuffed cookie, an Oreo cookie, and a salted caramel brownie. I can't believe everything is gluten free!!! All the treats are absolutely delicious and I love knowing that everything is celiac safe. The employees were all really nice and sweet. Highly recommend- even if you have to wait in line!

    Mike N.

Sat 10:00a and the place was very busy with a line almost out the door, but it moved quickly. We got several items: tomato pesto focaccia, caramel pecan rookie, classic cinnamon role, and mixed berries cheesecake. All were very tasty and I'll definitely be back for more treats in the future. The flavors were great, if maybe a little muted. I'd say it was all on par with or better than some of the more expensive stuff I've gotten from Whole Foods and Sprouts. We GF folks know not all GF stuff is created equal, but this place is making tasty treats that are definitely in the upper tiers. If you're GF you really need to pay this place a visit. If you're not GF I would still check it out if you're in the area, but wouldn't make a pilgrimage.

I opted for the Ham and cheese croissant, and the sausage croissant. Both breading was fantastic. Good flavor, airy yet crispy, just really well made. I will definitely come back for the ham and cheese croissant. The sausage croissant wasn't really for me (the bread was) it truly is a big sausage in there. It had good flavor, just isn't for me. If they could make just a plain cheese or bacon and cheese that would hit the spot lol We also got their regular cinnamon roll. The breading had a lovely sweet cinnamon flavor and the icing on top had a delicious creamy taste without being overly sweet. The odd part for us was the filling in the inside. I couldn't decide if I cared for it or not, I was almost feeling it was pushing the sweetness over just a bit so l may or may not get that again. Even tho they have seating inside, it feels more like a grab and go. You can def enjoy your item there. But I wouldn't say a spot where you can sit and catch up with a Friend or read a book. It also felt a bit too warm and stuffy so cranking down the AC a bit would help it feel more inviting especially from coming outside from the Arizona heat. I like to enjoy a warm beverage with my dessert and I couldn't imagine doing it in there. We opted to eat in our car Service was friendly and patient. As I looked around, I couldn't help but think that if I lived there, I'd probably be stopping in daily. The combination of a bakery and coffee house makes it the perfect neighborhood spot. Although I skipped the coffee this visit--it was mid-afternoon on a Sunday, and I wasn't looking for a caffeine boost--I'll definitely be back to give it a try. For this visit, we focused on the baked goods and sampled four items: the chocolate croissant doughnut, maple croissant doughnut, vanilla doughnut, and a red velvwtcupcake. Every single one was delicious. The croissant doughnuts were wonderfully flaky with just the right amount of sweetness, the vanilla doughnut was soft and flavorful, and the red velvet cupcake was rich and satisfying. It's rare to find a bakery where every item you try is a winner, but this one delivered across the board. The croissant/ bread didn't taste fresh, almost stale. But again the bread dough just felt stale. It was a Sunday in the AM that we went. Not busy at all. Since it's a part of an apartment, parking is a little awkward and can feel tight. You could easily not notice the place and mistake it for being closed. It's right off of the round about.
