I first went to Leslie Gold a few years ago, after simply doing a Google search for watch places in downtown Los Angeles. It's in the heart of the jewelry district, and you have to deal with parking, but that's downtown. Despite that, I highly recommend that you visit Leslie Gold if you are in the market for a watch. When I went in the first time, I was a bit intimidated. There are higher end watches there...probably nothing I will ever buy, and I was a bit concerned how I would be treated since my budget was not that big. But, when all was said and done, I was treated well, and it made no difference that I wasn't looking for a top of the line watch. The owner spent time with me and made sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. I've recommended this store to many, and there have been no complaints whatsoever. Fast forward to today. I wanted to get my wife a nicer watch for her birthday, so we trekked downtown to get her one. Of course, our one (and only) stop was Leslie Gold. After looking at some Eco Drives and Movados, she picked out a Raymond Weil. Pricing was very, very good - right on par with anything online, and LG is an authorized dealer! That is a good thing.. There is a large selection of watches from well known brands and admittedly, some I've never heard of. That, however, does not surprise me since I am not that sophisticated when it comes to watches. I'll be going back soon to treat myself. LG is an authorized Luminox dealer, and I love those watches. I inquired about a couple and once again, prices are very, very competitive.
