Watch came back after almost 2 months on 1/30/26 with case tool markings and scratches. E/mailed Kevork upset, he responded immediately and apologized for returning the watch with these flaws unnoticed. To his credit, Kevork responds almost immediately to e-mails and is excellent with timely communication. He e-mailed a pre-paid return packing slip, apologized for sending back my watch in such condition, and promised to work on it so it comes back as good as new. Watch was received the second time by Time Tec on 2/5/26. It came back today, 3/9/26 after a little over a month turn around time. Kevork delivered as he promised, the pictures speak for themselves. I would rather he did it right the first time, but I'm really grateful my experience with Kevork and Time Tec ended on a positive note. He said he was willing to throw in the labor but wanted me to buy a new earring back and post which was not even gold. And he wanted to charge me $50 for a metal, (NOT gold) post and earring back. How many earring backs have you lost in your life? It wasn't just his greed that annoyed me, it was his total and utter disrespect of me as a human. When I returned to the States, I searched for a reputable watch store that specializes in Seiko. One of the first recommended shops was Marina Bay Watch Company. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with a welcoming smile. I knew my watch required a full service, so I left it in their care for about six weeks. Michael worked on my watch and gave me both good and bad news. He explained that he attempted multiple times to pass the water-resistance seal test, but it kept failing due to the age of the crown. The good news, however, was that he was able to source a period-correct, original King Seiko crown for my watch. After installing it, the seal test passed, and I couldn't have been happier. After picking up the watch and bringing it home, I noticed that the letter "e" in the Seiko logo on the dial was slightly misaligned. I called the shop, and Michael explained that it was most likely caused by the putty used during dial cleaning. He reassured me that he is a man of his word and stands by his work. He even told me that if he couldn't fix it, he would buy me another King Seiko. Naturally, my main concern was preserving the original dial. Michael asked me to bring the watch back in, and he personally set aside time at the shop to fix the issue himself. About a week later, I received a text from him letting me know that the letter had been corrected. I was extremely happy that he was able to preserve the original dial. On top of that, he refunded me $100 for the inconvenience. I walked out feeling genuinely taken care of.
