I brought my Polaris Sport to Leslie's Pool Supply due to an error code. They told me it needed a new power cord, gears, and motor--essentially that the entire unit was bad. Based on their "diagnosis," I spent $1,500 on a new cleaner. Weeks later, I opened up the old unit myself and found it had never even been touched--no screws removed, no cover taken off. The gears were in perfect condition. After airing out the memory board, it powered right up and worked perfectly. It was clear they never did any real troubleshooting. Just a surface-level "diagnostic" and then a recommendation to replace everything. How about actually investigating the problem and trying to save the customer some money? Instead, they took the easy way out--and I paid for it. Hugely disappointing and not the kind of service I expect from a professional shop. read more

I needed a new Jandy filter basket that has been discontinued as well as a Jandy canister drain plug that broke - both of these parts are critical to the functionality of the pool pump and I have to get these parts. I went online to Amazon and bought and returned parts that I thought would work and they were To short or the wrong size - I went into Leslie's and the manager named Amy super friendly and gave me her undivided attention making me feel I was the most important person when it finally became my turn in line. She located the parts I needed and was SO generous with her time to even go out of her way to show me substitute options that saved me over $125 - if you own a pool come see Amy. So far I have been happy with this location and service I called and they looked up a part for me which they happened to have in stock. The price was reasonable for being able to get it right away. I have also ordered a new pool booster pump which came sooner than expected. The rewards program seems good. I basically got my pool part for free. read more

The store staff are incompetent. Went in knowing exactly what I needed. Told the employee (a young lady) what size O-ring I needed for my PacFab pool filter. She started looking it up and said she needed the serial number. I showed her a picture of the filter and told her the serial number is not readable. Repeated the size I needed. She looked online then called a young man to help her look it up. He then made a few irrelevant comments about a different types of filters then wanted a texr legible photo of the filter sticker on the unit. Uh I explained the sicker is not legible. How is that difficult to understand. It is not legible(period). After he then said how many filters are in it after being told it's a single filter 3x. I left. In my car infront of the store I opened up the online app and within 3 min had ordered the exact o-ring needed and it's being shipped free. Don't waste your time going into this location. They used to have the best staff in there but obviously today's staff lacks listening skills and ability look up an 11" O ring for a PacFab single filter unit. *sigh. What a waste of time. read more

I can honestly say the in person sales staff should get 2 stars but I dealt with an online sales rep who was fantastic. We had ordered a spa cover and it clearly was not right, Nick P did everything he could to make it right. DO NOT BUY ANY PUMPS OR PARTS FROM LESLIES POOL SUPPLY!!!! THEY HAVE THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER DEALT WITH!!!! This review is to warn any potential customers of LESLIES POOL TO NOT PURCHASE ANY POOL PUMPS, FILTERS, OR OTHER EQUIPMENT, AND BEYOND A DOUBT DO NOT USE THEM TO INSTALL ANYTHING!!!!! I went into Leslie's pool supply and made the huge mistake of purchasing a Jacuzzi Pool pump which I also paid Leslie's to install. Huge mistake number two!!! About two months later the pump went out. I called Leslie's since the pump was still under warranty. Leslie's gave me the runaround for four to five months. In that time I lost use of my pool and it turned into a lake. They eventually came out and installed another brand new pump. The tech informed me that I should contact them immediately should the pump begin making odd noises as that is an indication the pump may be going bad. In October 2021 the pump began making noise. I did as instructed and called Leslie's "service" department. They sent out a technician who stated the motor was going bad and that he would order the part. In February 2022 still no repair done no call back zero help. My calls to their "service" department are now touted to an answering service in the Philippines!!! It is now the end of March and despite the many assurances from the Philippine Islands that I will be contacted, I have yet to hear from anyone at Leslie's Pool. I have tried calling the local store and although the assistant manager was very pleasant and aware of my pending repair order I did not get a call back the following day from a Manager. I called again today and was told I would get a call back later today. read more

I had a technician and come out to install a pool pump but he failed to add the data cable that is needed for the pool pump to run from the app. I call Leslie and ask them to send him back out or at least leave the data cable so I could at least install the cable. It took 3 days before he returned. I install the cable but the main complaint is it took 3 1/2 hours for him to install the pump. I don't think there service technician are fully trained. I'm replacing my heater but I won't be using Leslie's again. read more

Hired Lesslies pool supplies service dept. to install new pump. The tech missed the 4 hr prelim apt. By 3 hrs and cancelled the first install apt. Failed to install grounding wire to bonding lug of the pump and shorted power that he landed on drive, leaving me with a nice jolt of electricity when I went to program pump. I called about repair of broken Dolphin Pool cleaner. Clerk said drop it off, repair person was there and he would look at it. I dropped it off 30 min later, no repair person. Clerk said I'd get a call the next day. I waited a week, no call. Called them, they said they'd call back within two days. After a week, I got a call they needed electrical cord to turn sweeper on to test it. They said they didn't need the cord when I first called. Ugh! Brought cord to store. A week later I went to store, repair person said it "tested fine." Got home, it still didn't work. Bought a new pool sweeper. Two stars because I didn't have to pay for "testing." read more

worst customer service ever, first start with the department store manager seems to be mad all the time. I have to apologies many time in order for him to test my Polaris cleaner. Next is the mid age lady with glasses, I waited vfor 20 mins, they have 2 sales rep in store and only 2 customers including me. She told me she doesn't handle return. Avoid this place! the customer service is terrible! We had Leslie's come out 2 months ago ( after several unanswered calls) and look at our spa heater. They said they needed to order a part for it. Two months went by and we found out they had never ordered the part after my husband had called them several times to find out why they hadn't come or called! We are moving in 10 days! As it turns out they finally get out here last week and don't have the correct part. They go to put it on and part of it is missing. They spend another day finding the missing part. They come out again and strip a bolt on the new part. We gave up! Leslie did not charge us for the parts or labor, as it should be, but here we are a few days before our move and the heater of the pool not working!! Please find a different place to get your pool serviced. They are also expensive. read more

5 stars for a great customer service from their General manager Ron and Andrea. We ordered a pool cleaner Zodiac MX6 from their website and they totally messed up our order. We waited 2 weeks and to find out it was "delivered" to the store and wasn't received. My wife called the customer service and and they just cancelled the order. Ron and Andrea took care of our order and less than a week we got the pool cleaner. Leslie need to improve their website customer service. read more

Find a different pool store if you can. Every time I have gone here I've had less than decent customer service. My husband and I ordered a pool sweep. I'm giving them two stars because they had a good sale going on that weekend for the Polaris brand pool sweeps. We paid nearly $500 for it. We get a call from one of the customer service representatives who tells us the sweep was ready to be picked up. I go to the store and no one has any idea what I'm talking about. I gave my husbands name and they said they had nothing. I asked if they could look up my account by phone number and they told me no. I asked if they could look up my account by our address and they told me no. The manager rushed to give me a phone number to corporate customer service. I called the number and all I could hear was static. I heard a faint "press seven for customer service" but when I press seven nothing happened. I went back into the store and said I would not leave without my pool sweep. My husband received a call from the assistant manager who said it was in store. They continue to brush me off and said I probably ordered it to the Pittsburgh store. No. We went in person to the Brentwood store. The entire team seemed annoyed at my frustrations, and unwilling to help. The manager Deja just said " I don't know what to tell you." This is unacceptable for customers who are spending $500 in your store. Turns out the pool sweep was there the entire time with my name on it. The receipt even had our phone number on it, which they said they couldn't used to search for the item. What should have been a five minute chore turned into an hour long fiasco. Charged a fee to have someone come on out to check on adding gas pool heating only to find out the field employee who came was very unhelpful, dismissive and appeared to not want my business so I wasted some money with this company while another pool company came out with a free inquiry and offered good information. read more

I liked the service I tecieved from all the staff for my above ground pool - especially from the manager. Was able to return some chemicles that i thought Inrealky didn't need. Good pool water analysis - My pool is crystal clear now - best advice was running the filter like a maniac after hitting it with alcalynizer (sp). Some soda ash ..... a small amount of chlorine tabs - but mainly never giving up - running the hell out of the filter!!! (I did have to drain the pool to get most of the toxic green algae from the winter cover that I had on (think it came from outter space). But all happy now with the help of Leslies. I love this place, I must say I have never been treated so great at a supply store. To make a long story short I had a complications with my doughboy pool at home and needed a quick fix they had what I needed help me find out how much I needed. And I was in and out of the store within 10 minutes. The manager is an awesome guy with a great attitude and a impeccable sense of humor. The two ladies at the store one younger and one middle-aged sorry I don't remember anybody's names. My pool vacuum was not working. Nichole at Leslie's was very nice. She said she will look at it in the next day or two and fix it. After a week and several visits she said it was fixed and after I paid $120 it was given back to me. Now it worked a little bit better but it was not fixed. I learned that Nichole has just learned how to fix things there and is learning as she goes. I also learned that this is not her primary responsibility. So when she has time from everything else, she works on vacuums. So customer's vacuums just pile up and she will get to them when she gets to them. But she gives you a good promise of she looking at them in a day or two but in reality, you should expect a week or two. After you get it back, it will probably not work right because she is just learning. So then expect to take it back and wait another week or two. Because they put you back at the end of the line. You will end up with a summer without a pool vacuum if you take your vacuum to Leslies to get fixed. That is what happened to me. But remember, Nichole is really nice. The manager there also does not care a bit. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

Been to the store a few times and while Ron may seem a little gruff at first impression, he really is very helpful and knowledgeable. He's answered all my questions and was very helpful on a pool cover replaced under warranty. When I dropped off my pool sweep yesterday after a wheel broke off he called 30 minutes later saying it was ready to be picked up. When I arrived he said he put a new axle on it and checked it out to make sure everything else was OK and told me no charge. Who does that nowadays? All the Leslie's employees I've had help me are very helpful and knowledgeable. I've heard customers tell clerks they forgot to bring their Leslie's coupons and the clerks honor the discount anyway. It's hard to find good customer service nowadays and when I find a business with great customer service I become a regular customer and recommend them. I brought a filter for my above ground pool and asked if they had replacements. They gave me a filter of the same dimensions but with a smaller center hole than the one I had brought. I asked them if this would be an issue and they assured me it would be fine... trusting their judgement over mine I took it home and of course it didn't fit. Total waste of my time and now I have to make a second trip to get my money back. Asked for help on getting chemicals to control algae and the employee just pointed at the back corner of the store, said "you have to shock it" and kept working on the computer. Ron and Crew at this Leslie's Pool store are tops. I'd give them six stars if I could. On more than one occasion, they've gone extra lengths to take care of my wife and me with great service, and information that has helped our pool to be kept clean and in great shape. In one instance, they spent quite a bit of time to solve a particularly sticky problem to keep our old pool cleaning robot running for another year and a half. Quite a bit longer than it's natural life. Then Ron helped us pick out the perfect robot cleaner for our pool and our budget, We'll keep going back, for sure. read more
