After I read a few negative reviews of this location I must say I'm shocked that a few people have had a negative experience, especially concerning Ronald. I've been coming to this location for over 6 months and I only have had awesome experiences with Ronald and Sonia. I've been a regular customer at this store for several months. The manager and staff have been very helpful. Sonia is a great employee. When entering the store, remember that to buy something, you go toward the front counter. For a water test, go around to the backside of the counter. During the corona virus situation, with social distancing and mask wearing, sometimes in the store it can get a little confusing or frustrating, and both the manager and customers can get irritated. Try to be patient and smile. Leslie's new ACCUBLUE water testing service is helpful and I have been using it often. The water is tested and a Leslie's Weekly Maintenance Program report is printed out. It shows the results for 10 tests, provides a water quality test score, and a list of problems, products, and solutions. However, I would recommend that customers also do their own water testing. I use the Aquachek 7 test strips and a Leslie's pool care test kit. Don't believe everything the Leslie's report printout tells you. Even the employees cross out some of the recommendations. It appears to have the purpose of maximizing sales of chemicals. Ask questions and do some research. The calibration for the testing they use may be off. You should not be spending hundreds of dollars on pool chemicals every month in a quest to keep your pool water clear. A pool service business will take care of it for $80-100 per month. I was getting increasingly concerned about my pool water. How could it be getting cloudy and greenish so quickly when I was adding so much Chlor Brite? Why was I spending so much money on Chlor Brite, Green to Clean, Perfect Weekly, Clear Aid, Ultra Bright Advanced, Hardness Plus, Alkalinity Up, Soda Ash, and more? How could I add 2-3 bags of Chlor Brite at night and the next day the total chlorine and free chlorine were at 0? I called a pool service business owner. He checked the pool water and found the cyanuric acid (CYA) level was about 300. The Leslie's tests had shown it every week in the range of 60-80. I learned that a small amount of CYA (stabilizer) is good to stabilize the chlorine but too much will inactivate it. Chlor Brite contains a stabilizer, so using it was making the situation worse. The next step was to partially drain the pool and refill a few times to lower the CYA level. The pool service business will be taking care of my pool chemicals from now on. read more

Zero stars. Two employees on a Sunday during the middle of summer, 6 people in line for water testing and 5 people in line waiting for purchases and ZERO employee acknowledgement. This store is a joke. It has been my go to store since having a pool installed and will no longer be. Learn some customer service and management skills. read more

The staff is very helpful. I took the backup valve off the hose on the Polaris because the hose was tangling up. Ron took the time to explain to me several things that could be causing the problem and the valve wasn't one of them. Good news was I didn't have to replace it. Bad news was I couldn't get the nut off to reattach the valve to the hose. With effort and ingenuity Ron was able to remove it. Sonia, too, is very knowledgeable and helpful. She contacted Polaris and got the information that I wasn't getting from my calls. It's so great to know where I can go to get the answers and parts I need because I always think I can fix things myself. Enough said. read more

It can get busy in the store, I don't go on the weekend and you can tell the crew get's a little tired and swamped, but never complain and always cheerful. This review is solely based on the employee Alex, if I could give him a zero star I would. Luckily he was not helping me directly. Every single customer he came into contact with he was completely rude, unprofessional & seemed SO bothered every time someone would ask a question. He was walking around the whole store huffing & puffing, almost aggressively & even threw down the dolly at one point . One customer even walked out & left instead of getting help because of how rude Alex was being to him. People go into a pool supply store for HELP, they have questions & need help deciding which product is best for their pool & to have an employee that is SO bothered by everyone is completely inappropriate & his attitude should not be tolerated by management. If it weren't for the employee Jackie, I would take my business elsewhere. She is so on top of her stuff & was really trying to help everyone she could & was clearly trying to pick up the slack from Alex. read more

I just bought a home up here in Antioch and inherited a pool. It has been very difficult when you know nothing about pools. Every single time I walk in Jesse, Jen and Nick all have been extremely helpful, in teaching me how to keep my pool clean and get the best bang for my dollar. They are very friendly, they know there pools, they do free water checks and explain whats going on, you can't get a place better than this. I stopped in at the Pittsburgh, store and Concord store once, and no one knew what the heck was going on. They did not know there stock, and were not very helpful. I will make sure to stick with the Bentwood store, you can't go wrong. read more

VERY disappointed once again. Last Friday around noon I took the skimmer in to the Antioch store to get fixed. They said it would be done that day, or Saturday. So far so good. Saturday afternoon I hadn't heard yet, so tried to call. First time on hold for 8 minutes. Called back, on hold for 7 minutes. Next two calls were just busy signals. Gave up, and went back to the store. They said they're backed up (no one working in Service either time), and would take at least 4 days. Can I make an appointment? No, I need to leave it. I need the skimmer, so left. I took it to the Pittsburg store, they had it done in an hour. If the Antioch store is so busy, TOO busy, if they keep treating customers like this we won't be back, and they won't be so busy. read more

I have been in here three times now and all three have been the same level of this satisfaction with service. Besides their prices are extremely high the level of service that should come with that is less than acceptable. The girl at the counter has no knowledge of pool equipment supplies or anything to do with service. It's almost like you have to know what you want when you go in there and then tell them what you want to buy. If I wanted that, I could buy off the Internet for 40 to 60% lower in price. I dropped a piece of equipment for service and the guy who fixes equipment was not in, she could not even tell me when I would get a call back. I asked would be a day a month or year? She said I can't tell you.... Seriously there are other places to shop and get equipment as well as service. I know I won't be back here. Very disappointed. read more

My friend's pool pump stopped working and had a loud humming noise. The pump was only a couple of years old and it was out of warranty. I checked the impeller and the main shaft and they both spun without resistance. I did research online and found that the capacitor maybe bad. I had no idea what the capacitor was, so I didn't want to damage the pump (Didn't want to piss her off by breaking it). She called a pool repair guy that had been in business for a long time and she had used before. Well he told her the pump is dead and she needed to replace it. She asked him what was wrong with it and he just said "it was an electrical problem". The pool guy said it would cost her $379 for him to fix. I took the pump to Leslie's Pool Supplies and met Charlie Green. I told him I thought it was the capacitor and asked him if it was this shinny cylinder on the back of the pump and sure enough I was right. Charlie put a used capacitor on the pump and it worked great. Charlie didn't have a replacement in stock, so he called throughout the area and found one at the Lodi store. I drove out there and picked up the capacitor and put everything back together. I paid $32 for the capacitor and gas to Lodi (49mi) and back. Some of the comments online suggested the capacitor will have bulge in it when it goes bad. The capacitor is in plain sight and the obvious signs were there. This pool company (Tahoe Pool Service), which I am debating on leaving a bad review, must have known this was bad and was taking her for a ride. Thanks Charlie for all your help, that is what business are suppose to do with their customers. We will continue shopping at Leslie's Pool Supplies. read more

The only reason why I'm leaving 2 stars is due to Ron The manager. I have shopped here for as long as they have been opened here on lone tree in brentwood. The employees are always helpful and positive attitudes. But I just experienced horrible customer service from the manager Ron. Must be having a bad day but to take it out on customers is not acceptable! He cussed in the back because the cashier told him I was there to see him! Then comes out and slams paperwork on counter for me to write my name and number on. talked with him prior on the phone and he himself told me to come in! Then he's angry that I came in! I did leave my product there to be fixed and hope he doesn't take his anger out on my product! After all these years I have been a customer and the large amounts of money I have spent there, you would think that I would get treated a bit better. I ended up going to the Pittsburg store to purchase more products! Alex helped me in Pittsburg and was amazing! update: came back later to pick up my product and Ron was In a much better mood. Horrible customer service at this location. You walk in no one says hi or even looks at you. They continue to talk to each other and not want to help customers. They sold me an item and later on told me that item wasn't good and shouldn't have been sold for the problem I was having with my pool. The sad part was it was the same person who sold me the item. If I could give no stars I would. We went to today to ask if the carried a part for our pool filter. I believe the gentlemen la name was Alex. He was absolutely rude and had the worst attitude. I went to Leslie's today and the new manager, Ron, greeted me and introduced himself. I needed a repair of my pool sweeper and he had the parts in stock. Ron provided a quote for the parts, labor to repair was included. He also showed me a new sweeper and compared the cost. I decided to repair the old and left it.
