The showroom may not be the newest or flashiest, but that ended up being a benefit -- they have a wide variety of models available to see in person and can source nearly any option you might want. What impressed us most was the level of knowledge and attention we received. Jim and his team clearly understand these products extremely well and focused on helping us choose the best spa for our family instead of simply pushing a sale. Their pricing was very reasonable, but the biggest value came from the service and support they provide. Before delivery, Jim personally visited our home twice to review the setup area and ensure everything was prepared properly. He was also involved during delivery and installation, and everything went according to plan. They spent time walking us through the spa features and explaining maintenance as well, which was especially useful since owning a hot tub involves more upkeep than I had remembered. Our spa was only recently installed, so I can't comment on long-term service yet, but based on everything we've experienced so far, I'm confident they'll continue taking great care of their customers. This is a remarkable company that has been in business for decades, run by a father and son team. Father Jim does the sales and runs the showroom while son James does the field/service work. They have vast and detailed knowledge and experience in the field, and are amazingly ethical and honest with their information, happily explaining everything and answering any questions with complete candor. Absolutely no effort to upsell, in fact their emphasis is on saving the customer money while making sure they get the product that's right for them and passing along useful knowledge that would be known only to insiders. Anyone would be crazy to use any other source for spa purchase or service. I just had James replace the original pump and do other supplemental service and repair on a 15 year-old hot tub I bought from someone else long before I learned of this company. I was amazed--the whole experience turned out to be a real pleasure because of the quality of the work, his great attitude and easy-going nature, the speed of both scheduling and performing the work, and the very reasonable cost. On Sunday, I decided to open up our hot tub's pump cover to see if I could find out why it all of a sudden began losing water (about half an inch a day)! Definitely not evaporation. And sure enough, I found two places with a leak in this decade old tub. I contacted New Products, where we originally purchased the tub, and got a phone call early this morning from the owner, Jim. Turns out the service guy, James, was going to be in our area today. James came by a couple of hours later, confirmed the leak, had the replacement parts in his van, and fixed it! He also gave me an updated lesson on how often I should be changing the water, the filter, adding chemicals, checking the pH, etc. Not only was the repair price very reasonable, but I feel like I just got a degree in hot tub school, and promise to do better keeping to the maintenance schedule going forward. Bought a Martinique (5 person) spa - Jim told us it was too big for us and suggested we get a smaller (less expensive) one. When is the last time a salesman suggested you buy down? BTW: he was right, it is too big for just two. Ditto chemicals: New Products has a variety of chemicals I can buy, but Jim suggests only 3 (chlorine, shock & soda ash) plus a "silver stick." Knowledge & experience are obvious because of his (and James') years in business. e.g. he can even build you a wood hot tub. After sale service is most important and NP has it, and keeps the cost down by having parts in the truck (saves a second visit cost). Remember when shopping to take your swim suit and wet test, listen to the motor noise, note egress & ingress. Obstacles killed our other choice. Everyone else's comments are spot on. This was by far the BEST customer service I have experienced in a very long time. We had a broken spa lifter and called New Products, who sold us our Caldera spa a few years ago. James came out and gave us a very informative lesson on taking care of our spa water, supplied us new products needed and put together a new lifter for us. Definitely 5 stars. Installing a hot tub is a process. Whenever we needed help to resolve issues, Jim and his team were responsive, timely, and helpful. He recommended an experienced electrician to get the wiring ready, and on the delivery day it was clear they were pros. His adult son (also named Jim) took care to make sure the tub was situated perfectly...turns out it makes a big difference which way you orient it (access to service panel, entry, the different types of seats in the tub, and the view of the yard from each, etc). He talked me through the pros and cons, and I am really happy with the result. He also carefully talked me through how to maintain and care for it, and answered all my questions. We contacted them about a repair we needed for our VERY old Coleman spa (25+ years!). Rather than trying to sell me a new spa, they sent James to "have a look." I came across Jim / New Products Inc. byway of me wanting to sell a used Marquis Retreat Spa on Craig's List. While the spa was only seven years old, I was tired of pouring money into repairs and parts replacements in what was supposed to be a 'quality' spa. Seems that Marquis highly over-rate the reliability and I decided that the spa had to go. I placed a listing on Craig's List and got numerous replies, including one from Jim. You can't be too careful with Craig's List 'buyers' (way too many scammers!) and after a few emails back and forth, along with a phone call, I was convinced that Jim was not just another Craig's Lister on another 'phishing' expedition. We bought a Caldera Tub in 2007, and we've been incredibly satisfied, not only with the tub itself but also with the company standing behind their product. One of the differentiators with New Products Inc. when compared to other hot tub companies is that the owners of the company personally do service calls if there are issues with the tub. Mind you, we've only needed 2 service calls in 5 years, but both times Jim Henderson (one of the owners) came to our house in Lucas Valley and did the repair himself.
