I come here if I am in the area but it is the closest Leslie's location to my house in Hollywood Lakes. On my most recent visit you have one guy expertly running the whole store. On week end errands we got two jugs refilled with cholorine as well as a new net to get leaves out of the pool. Prices are very competitive and while we were there I had seen quite a few items we will come back for. They had sculputed wicker loungers that could go in pool or nearby. Also out door heaters were well priced but it never gets cold enough to use this past Winter. Even great pricing on one armed umbrellas amazing how much the pricing here has come down. I have been using this particular Leslie's for over 3 years now. From day 1, they have been friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to patiently teach me how to maintain my in-ground pool. And I see them, firsthand, taking that same personal approach with all their customers. Which is why I will never get upset when I see them taking time to teach someone about pool maintenance. This management staff is top notch...Carlos the store manager, Freddy, the asst store manager...and I even would like to give a shout out to John, the retired asst store manager. Hope your retirement is going great John! Today, I witnessed the store manager, Carlos, handle a very difficult client. This client, let's call him Zippy, came into the store with I can't even begin to comprehend expectations. Zippy put his chlorine jugs down and expected Carlos to stop helping clients to service him immediately. There were 3 other clients in front of Zippy...I was the 3rd and technically right in front of him. But due to Covid, there are no "lines" and everyone else was keeping a safe distance browsing the store until their turn. Carlos was awesome, moving from client to client as quickly as he could without trying to rush them. Zippy kept making comments about the poor service, the rude service, and how he he should never come back. Carlos, to his credit, remained calm, and attempted to engage in positive conversation with Zippy even though he was helping other clients. But Zippy's expectations would never be met. When Carlos was about to begin my water test, Zippy lost it. In a huff, he picked up his empty jugs and loudly proclaimed he will never be back. Zippy left. And less than a minute later came back and slammed his empty jugs on a cart and said some things are not said in polite society. And he left again. We remaining clients in the store were astonished with this behavior. Carlos apologized, but really didn't need to. A few minutes go by and the door opens. It's Zippy. Again. This time to loudly proclaim to all that would hear: "I'm giving this store a #%^*ing bad Yelp review!" So now you know the whole story. Told from the perspective of an client just like you. And now you know that this store will treat you right. Will take the time to help you, teach you. Will even be polite in the face of extremely rude customers. But if you think the world revolves around you, maybe you should hire a pool company to come to you versus going out in public. And Zippy, if you are reading this review, I hope your day gets better. I took the top to my filter cartridge in today to get some help replacing the locking knob. Freddy was very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient! Super friendly, too. I just pulled up I was rushing to get there I was calling since 4:40 and no one answered the phone and when I made it there the guy closed it but the store was supposed to be open to fill up my bottles for my pool so I don't recommend this horrible place because of the bad customer service. 12/15/19 5:02 read more

I came in Friday the 22nd about 5:30 and was told water testing was down and would be up in the morning by older gentleman. I came in the morning at 10am and when asking about filters for my new spa the same gentlemen told me that they don't sell them but that I should go to pinch a penny and buy them there. He also recommended that I take my water to pinch a penny "they test for free too". I have never had worse customer service I was interested in but all the chemicals that go with my spa and this man ran me off. Then he turned to another customer and tried to made me look irrational for suggesting that he was a bad businessman sending me to another business instead of offering to order filters for me. I needed chems for my hot tub and ended up buying them at Publix...SAD! read more

Terrible service Every time i get there to buy chlorine the owner lets me wait so long and even if i leave after 15 min without being served he will be happy and meanwhile tries to sell other customers products he can make money i guess chlorine is just a service for him and he doesn't make $$$ of it if you do not want to sell it so just say so and dont let customers wait after 4 times being ignored i will not go back read more

Amazing experience starting with a phone call. I connected with Carlos over the phone inquiring about a few specials I was emailed about. He was very pleasant and helpful and basically sold me over the phone with his knowledge. After making a trip to the location, he exceeded every customer service expectation. I've been in here multiple times and service is always awful. The dude complains about customers and having to do his job. The other day I was in there waiting and he's in there saying if one more f'ing person comes in for a f'ing water test mumbling under his breath...dude if you don't want to test pool water find a different profession! Needless to say I will not step foot In this place again... 3 times was 3 times too many. It's the closest place to me but I'm not about convenience, I'm about friendly customer service which this place totally lacks. read more

These guys are as close to it gets to having an open book like "pool for dummies". Each time I go in, I am able to get my pool water sampled (FOR FREE!) and they recomend the items I need and provide me with easy daily steps to correct the chemical levels in my pool. These guys are courteous and always eager to help. read more

I had some issues with these people and was called by an area VP who personally handled my situation and turned a disappointment into a pleasant outcome. All retail businesses make mistakes, but only the quality ones try to earnestly rectify them. This is a quality company and because of my recent experience I can recommend them. read more

I really did not like this place at all.. They seem like they are short staffed all the time, and I never get the attention I need. I have to keep going up to them and asking them questions about everything. But besides that they have great products that work well in my pool. read more
