They have a good monopoly and service is terrible. They promise and nothing happens. Don't go there if you can avoid it.

Beware! This company does work without your consent, and will charge you!…read more I am disappointed to leave this pool company after 2 years because they went ahead, and did work outside of my agreed upon contract of a pool opening. At no point in time did they contact me to do "additional work". Therefore, be very careful. They replaced a piece that did not need to be replaced on top of my filter, tossed to the side. Not once letting us know. Not once hearing from us to agree on them touching anything outside of an opening. What's more disturbing is now the piece that was replaced I am not sure can go back. Thus, forcing me to now shut off my pool filter and now not using my pool until this company resolves this blatant issue of unauthorized work and possible damage to what they replaced as irreplaceable now. Make sure you find a pool company that values their customers consent on all work done on your property. Especially because I was not even home for this lack of consumer respect. I would ALSO like to point out that the items replaced were there last year and the year before that. and NO ONE DID OUTSIDE REPAIRS UNTIL NOW. I WAS TOLD LAST YEAR AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE.

Kristen was responsive to every question or concern we had, she consulted with colleagues when needed and always kept us in the loop communicating every detail of our pool project from beginning to end. If you've been thinking about getting a pool reach out to her! You will not be disappointed :-) Kristen and the amazing team at Concord, from excavation to cleaning to service, have given me and my family something that we've only ever dreamed of and every time I walk outside I smile! I've forgotten her name, but the sales person was very nice. She was helpful, but not at all pushy. Excellent communication during delivery and they came when they were supposed to and took time setting it up the way we wanted it - 4 stars for that. When we used it, the jets tended to pulsate with more or less power. After a few phone calls with Jonathon (sp?), who was very patient and always returned my calls, they came out and tried a fix that helped but didn't completely alleviate the problem. Then Jim offered to either bring in the hot tub to fix it, give me a brand new one at no cost, or try one other fix. Definitely 5 stats for that. I opted for the fix, which worked and haver been enjoying the spa ever since. When the technician was here (forgot his name), he mentioned how much he enjoyed working there and how happy he was with the management, which is always nice to hear. Very happy we happened upon this place.

They said they have the guy come back out and he did brought it up to ground level after he left. After the pool inspection was completed, which was the 1st week of November, I began calling companies but none of the pool companies around the Albany area would come out and do it except Cypress Pools. Cindy and Renee were very friendly and accommodating and schedule the pool closing immediately. They did not over charge or add an extra fee knowing many of the other companies would no longer provide the service. Cypress pools were understanding of the situation, honest, professional and the price quoted was exactly what they charged; no last minute add on. Thank you to the team at Cypress Pools especially Cindy who made a stressful home sale very smooth in the pool area. I would not hesitate to recommend Cypress Pools for any pool related issues, pool services of opening or closing or pool installation.

My pool was put in the ground in Mid-May 2025 and partially filled with water seat that time there no issues. When all the plumbing was connected and the pool was filled and cleaned, a signifiant "scratch" appeared on the face of a step. But after closer inspection, the "scratch: was the serial number etched into the gel coat (a picture is attached). And when I complained and requested it be removed under the warranty, they said this is standard practice therefore not covered by warranty. What company stamps their serial number in a prominent place on their products? And when they denied the claim, they offered to "fix" it for me for $2500. One additional comment on Latham Pools but this may be indicative of the pool industry in general. Make sure you investigate the company that claims to be "certified" Latham installer. I chose Backyard Pools and Spas in Richmond, VA which was a huge mistake. All I will say on this post is to use all of the public resources available know who is installing your pool. Use all the state and local government websites that issue contractors licenses as well as the state court websites to search for the criminal records for the individual's who have access to your property. It is too late for me hopefully this helps someone avoid what I am going through.

I had such a great experience working with Rick at Empire Pools. From the start, he took the time…read moreto talk with me on the phone, walking me through what was going on with my pool and helping me understand what might be needed. I sent him photos, and he was super responsive and professional. He came out within a day, diagnosed the issue right away, and explained everything in a way that made sense. He quickly installed the new system and even fixed a problem with my liner that I didn't know about, but could've become a big issue if he hadn't caught it. Rick made sure I fully understood how to use the new system before he left. He was also really helpful afterward while I was getting the hang of things, answering my questions and staying in touch. A few days later, he came back with the extra parts and accessories I had requested and made sure everything was running perfectly. He clearly knows his stuff - my pool has never looked better! I'm so glad I found him, and it's great knowing he's just a phone call away if anything comes up. I wouldn't go to anyone else for pool service.

I hired Rick to move a pool table from a home about 1 1/2 hours away, transport it to my house,…read morereassemble it, and install new felt. About two weeks before the move, I selected Dark Green (#32) after Rick sent us a color swatch from Championship Billiard Fabric. I also said I would confirm that color with my husband. On the morning of the move, I texted Rick to confirm that he was still able to bring the Dark Green (#32) because that was the color that we decided on. Rick replied, "Got it!" When he arrived, my husband noticed the felt package was actually Accuplay English Green, not the Dark Green (#32) we had agreed on. When I pointed this out, Rick immediately became angry and started yelling. He claimed, "You texted me this morning and that's what I had in the truck," even though he texted back the two words GOT IT when I asked if he had that Dark Green 32. He also complained that he had driven an hour and a half, despite the travel being part of the job we had hired and paid him for. Then he insisted it was "the same color, just a different company," but it clearly was not. What shocked me most was how quickly the situation escalated. In a matter of seconds, he went from a normal conversation to screaming and issuing ultimatums. His emotional self-control reminded me of a five-year-old throwing a tantrum rather than a professional contractor trying to resolve a customer concern. He then said, "Give me $1,000 (of the $1,900 we owed him) and you can get someone else to finish the job." I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from someone providing a service. He also accused my husband of "hovering" and interfering with his work. In reality, my husband simply asked that the table be centered on the carpet. Rick himself asked if the placement looked correct, and my husband moved it about a quarter of an inch so it would be perfectly positioned. That was the extent of his involvement. At that point, I just wanted the job completed, so I reluctantly agreed to keep the felt he brought, even though it was a different brand than the color chart he showed us and, more importantly, a different color than the Dark Green (#32) we had selected two weeks earlier and confirmed again the morning of the move. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. In addition to installing the wrong color felt, several pocket nails were missing, the table is 1/4" out of level (even though Rick claims he levels it as he builds it), and the rubber bumpers were not aligned evenly with the wood rails. And after Rick left my husband used a rubber mallet to align the uneven bumpers. For the record, I purchased this pool table from the original owner, and I am only the second owner. The previous owner had bought this table 30 years ago new and kept it in pristine condition. Rick was the only person who disassembled it and then reassembled it. If the missing pocket nails weren't there after the installation, they went missing during the move or reassembly. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Rick. His communication, professionalism, and workmanship all fell well below my expectations. Looking back, I wish I had paid more attention to his previous negative reviews because my experience was very similar.
