DON'T BUY A POOL FROM HERE!! We originally chose Leslies because we wanted to deal with someone in person. We would have got more honesty from an online store. After we ordered a pool on a Sunday afternoon I knew something was wrong when the charge, which was originally showing as a pending on my Amex, all of a sudden wasn't there. But the charge for the skimmer was. I called Leslies in Nanuet where we bought the pool and spoke to Frank. He assured me that there were no problems and it was an IT problem. I specifically said please tell us now if we can't get a pool because pools are selling out all over the place. Again he assured us that we were getting the pool. Well the skimmer showed up but still didn't hear about a delivery date for the pool. Well after lots of back and forth only with me reaching out and Frank promising he'd check on the status for me which he never did. My husband had to go back to the store since Frank still wasn't returning my phone calls. Still no answers. I finally called another Leslies and told them the story. Then the GM called me back Ryan or Brian. No apologies from anyone after two weeks I heard I wasn't getting a pool and there was a glitch in the system and that it happens sometimes. Disgusting customer service all around. If they had just apologized in the first place I wouldn't have been so upset. Just returned the skimmer to the store and Frank tried to give us some halfhearted apology/reason why things happened this way. Unacceptable!!! read more

I called looking for Polaris 280 wheel bearings. $14.99 for a 10 pack on Amazon. They want $12.99 EACH AT LESLIE! A 10 pack at Leslie is $129.90 + tax. A mere $115 more than Amazon. I'm disgusted by their price gouging. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere. Westrock was $4 each....much more reasonable. I understand Leslie has to pay rent but that's just thievery. I do my best to support my local economy. They're definitely not supporting their community. read more

Very helpful staff, I knew nothing about maintaining a hot tub, their advice is working like a champ, perfect pH for 10 days. Completely different than the dismissive attitude at Westwood pools in Nanuet. Some products are low quality, I purchased a floating thermometer and it was 6 degrees off, tested with a high quality IR thermometer with a tolerance of .1 degrees. read more

I recently bought a hot tub. I went back to where I bought it after installation, and the "service" lady was oblivious to what to recommend to get my tub running. All she crowed about was some unnecessary aroma products. I the went to Leslie's in Nanuet and spoke with Anthony. He recommended I bring back a water sample. I was kind of put off by having to come back, but I did. And am I glad I did! Anthony tested my water and not only told me what he was doing, but why. He recommended a few products to get us started. I came back 2 weeks later with another sample and everything was good! Fred asked if I needed anything else like test strips or chemicals I may be low on, but I was still good from my last visit. And that was it! No pressure to buy something else. I genuinely got the impression that they cared about me as a person, not just a sale. I will be going back for supplies and I recommend anyone with a hot tub go to them as well! I don't know how much Leslie's pays these guys, but they know how to satisfy a customer. read more

Great knowledgable staff. Sometimes a wait to analyze water but well worth it for their expertise. They really seem to take their time explaining my needs so that I can care for my loved pool properly. Last time I went in for a water test my pool was cloudy and they gave me the correct product to get it clear the first time unlike their competitors which I've used in the past with negative results and multiple visits for the same issue. Although it's nice of them to carry out hefty items, only having one person, I am assuming the manager as he lets no one else answer questions or ring people up, waiting in line for over 20 minutes for a small bag of powder is ridiculous. 3rd time I've been here, 3 strikes your out! Very rude, no one knows what they are doing, not helpful at all. Took a picture of my "0"rings to see if Leslie pools could provide me with the 0 rings I needed, waited for ever for someone to help me, when I finally got someones attention, I showed the sales guy my picture, he makes an "0" with his hand, I said to him, no, it's a little bigger than that.....Rude salesman says to me, nooo, that's what chance you have of getting what you need with that picture! The picture of the 0 ring had a number on it to identify it, don't waste your time, go to the Westrock pool place, they are very helpful, don't ignore you when your clearly waiting for help, & they know their pool stuff! read more

This store is usually well stocked and if not busy at all, the staff can be helpful. That being said this store in the NY Metro area has 3 months to really maximize their profit margins. Items are pricey, Polaris parts are outrageously pricey. Additionally if they are busy they will blow you off to deal with more profitable customers/transactions. read more

We bought a solar cover with a 5 year warranty. It fell apart after 3 seasons. Warranty department before even looking at damage told us to buy a new one to re-start the warranty. When we said we said that we want to use the existing warranty,they told no,it is not going to be covered .Alina promised to send us a copy of the warranty and the pictures of samples of what is covered. More then a month passed and we are still waiting.Never trust their warranty again on anything! read more

I gave this place one more chance today. Kid seemed knowledgeable and I informed him that I've gotten different advice from this particular location. When I got home I had one more question, so I called and asked to speak with him. The other kid wouldn't put me through because he can answer my question. He then gave me a COMPLETELY different diagnosis. It really doesn't get any worse. read more
