This company was really quick to take my money. And when it was time for service, I just kept getting delays on appointments, nothing ever got done. My pool was never open. The recent appointment that they gave me was August 28. When the fall is about to come, this company is unreliable unprofessional. No one ever calls you for anything and you have to constantly be calling them to follow-up. Unfortunately, I did not open the pool this summer but I hired a different company to move forward for next summer. I would not recommend this company. read more

Was in the process of purchasing a Swimspa when I came across the Wellis brand. The reviews on their spas and equipment was the reason for my purchase. Went to Orange County Pools and Spas because I saw that not only do they sell the product but maintain as well as service them. The stand behind this product. Upon entering the store the staff was very attentive and we were taken to a model that was not only on the showroom floor but filled with water and functional. We saw two models we were interested in and went with the Danube. After picking the model we sat in the office with the salesperson, the design person, and the delivery person. Out house was brought up on a big screen via Google maps and we mentioned several places we were interested in placing the spa. They also helped with the suggestions on placement. Afterwards we were offered multiple ways to pay including financing and went on our way. Throughout the process of delivery and placement, Dan L. was awesome. He answered every annoying text I sent with multiple questions, concerns, and thoughts. Dan came by several times to see the concrete pad and kept us updated with delivery. When the spa was delivered Dan made it his business to check on it and even came after hours to answer more questions and give me an in depth tutorial on how to work the spa. Dan took a water sample for me and had the analysis ready the next day. He also sent me a list on what chemicals to put in the spa based on the water tests. OCPS could not make this purchase any easier. Even after setting it up and getting it ready, I had an air lock and the people sent a person the next day to fix and get everything going. I don't have a expensive pool but I wanted to make sure I did it right things to close it up. My friend at work told me I have to add this chemical and another chemical. So I brought in a sample of the water and she told you don't have to do nothing to the pool. Just winterize it. I was so amazed. Thought they would tell me to get this and that and didn't even push a winterize kit. She was do nice and told this is a family business . I will be back and will recommend this business. read more

An enormous waste of time and effort!!...They don't need your business, but too unprofessional to care about their customers and shoot "straight"...We were inquiring about a quote for a semi-in ground pool for our "sloped" backyard. They insisted on giving us a written quote without looking at our property, despite sending many pictures and explaining the challenge. Vincent, the owner, finally stopped by and my husband had to leave work for the occasion. He immediately said that the previous quote was off by thousands. He said that we would receive a new quote by days end. We never heard back from Vincent or anyone else, despite leaving multiple voicemails and texts. Truly SAD!!! We have happily contracted with a smaller company that gives us and our project the attention that it deserves. read more

This place has the worst customer service. Don't expect this company to service your spa, even if they say they will. I bought a spa about five years ago. For the past three, I have attempted on several occasions to schedule service. I live in Putnam and for some reason the service people won't come here. I've stopped at the Mohegan shop, they tell me they will take care of it, but they have yet to. I'm very very disappointed. read more

I've been going here for 20yrs now! Always have excellent service. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. They always have the right answers to any problems you may have with your pool!! Carol, Ashley and Kerri have always gone above and beyond each and everytime I've ever had an issue. On multiple times Kerri has been able to diagnose issues I've had in person as well as several times on the phone. One of the worst customer service phone calls that I've experienced in a very long time. Called twice to discuss an issue with my swimming pool. I received more of a lecture than an offer to resolve the problems with the pool. Girl who answered the phone shouldn't be. She was arrogant and condescending, and offered absolutely no help on resolving my pool problem. The lectures continued with no real conversation about how their company would be best choice of business to do the repair for me. After painful phone call ended, and after doing a little more research on the internet, I found another company in Yorktown. If you want to deal with professionals with exceptional customer service and the capability to do the repair, than you want to contact Diff'rnt Strokes in Yorktown and avoid contacting OCP...it will be a huge waste of your time! read more

I recently went to Orange County Pools and met with Vinny. I had a major pump issue. My pump had just failed and I was going out of town the following day. As pool owners we pride ourselves with having the most crystal clear water in the neighborhood. Vinny and I both knew that without a pump, during what was an extremely hot week to come, would allow me to come home after a week to pool heartache. The problem was the part needed had to be ordered. Knowing my schedule, Vinny took the time to figure out an alternate solution for me. I can't thank Vinny and Orange County Pools enough for keeping my pool up and running as I was away for the week. I would be returning to crystal water and not green. If you have any pool problems, bring it to them, Vinny sat with me for close to an hour. He and their staff are good people. I highly recommend them. read more

We have purchased a spa & an above ground pool from Orange County Pool & Spa the New Windsor location. We have been customers since 2004 when we purchased our Spa. Never had a problem until now. First I filled out a form requesting a service call for the spa not working. I had to follow up calling them and they stated they never noticed the request. When I explained the problem, first I was told it would be expensive for them to come $150 just to come and then $75 for every 1/2 hour after. Then they informed me that it would be weeks before they could get here but never offered to set up an appointment. Over the phone, I was being told that it is most likely dirty filters they had me remove the filters and run the spa again the spa shutdown and was not heating. I then called the owner and spoke with him regarding the poor customer service and after telling him how I felt he asked me what the problem was. We had another company come to find out that our pump froze. Customer Service is horrible!!! read more
