My family and I have been going to Westrock pools for the past 15 years ever since I moved to New City in Rockland from Long Island.Two hoses two pools and 2 kids later I cant say how happy we are with Andy and his employees at West Rock. From Noz at the counter with help from chemicals to filter questions and parts ,covers closing kits a-z always professional and knowledgeable and patient with me from when I was a novis pool owner to the veteren I have become.Also the installers did a great job on both of my pools.And let me tell yopu they were both challenging not level grades and both times we spent time together walked the yard asked and answered many questions loked at the best place foe the maximum amount of sunshine ect and both times they did a fantastic job.And there was something special that really stands out in my relationship with Andy. on our second pool about the end of the second season going into our third we developed a tear in our liner we have a 26x16 oval with hiden supports that go under the pool.When I went to Andy I brought pictures and showed him how we lost all the water and the pool was in jeporty .,He told me the waranty for the liner was alredy past due and that he would do his best to get me a graet price and to install a new liner asap and also said maybe I did not have enough sand on the bottom and to get another yard or two delivered and it would help with the new liner .So I did me and my son cut out the bottom of the old liner and put in more sand and tamped in down and leveled it best we could he was five at the time so to him it was the coolest thing to be in the bottom of a pool with no water in march.Andy had to have the liner custome made and within two weeks his guys showed up and installed the liner in a few hours.They compliamented my son and I for our great sand base job whiuch made him and me feel good.After the job I tiped the men but did not get a bill .A few days later I clled Andy and said I never recieved a bill,He sai Joe it,s on me dont worry about it .You are a great customer have a great family like mine and you are a pleasure to deal with.well let me tell you you just dont get service like that anymore this day and age.I went to the store and asked the guys behind Andys back what resturant his family and himself liked.They told me and we went and purchased him a nice gift certificate to his favotite resturant.When I went to the store to give it to him he was so genuinely touched by my jesture.It made me feel good old school one hand washes the other two hands wash the face.i have over the years recomended West Rock to all my kids freinds parents looking for a pool my neighbors and my family members.I always tell them go on new years eve and you will get the best discounted price of the season on the pool with all the bells and whistled and the Install. I came across the other reviews in here by accident as i was looking to go on to the web site to order a cover for my pool,when I saw these two bad reviews all I can Say is give Andy a chance be patient and he will do the right thing.He is old school and looks out for his customers and loves his family and his job as I love my familt too.West rock has always done the right thing for us our freinds and our family members.Hope this was helpful. I went to the home show in Rockland in the beginning of 2020. I saw the Westrock display and spoke to the Salesman Jeff. We spoke and of course it all sounded good. The following week I went into the store and again spoke to the salesman on everything I needed to know about the pool. We also discussed that my existing pool had hoses 20feet from the the pump and I wanted to do it the same way. No issues I was told. We will take care of it. After that they recommended a company pyramid pool and tree experts. Of course Jeff from Westrock said it's one of there companies they use to install all of there above ground pools. I called and spoke to Erica from pyramid and was told what was included and if they had to do any digging it would be an extra. I told her I had everything leveled and she sent out a gentleman name Keith. We overlooked everything and there were a few minor things I had to do before his guys did the install. Finally with Covid I was able to get a date and time for the installation. Pyramid came and did the installation in one day with a few issues. First there lead guy wanted to charge me 200 dollars cash to level the area. The area was leveled but they needed to remove some old sand. I told them there boss Keith was here and never mentioned that to me. What Erica mentioned was that the first 2-3 inches they will do the leveling at no charge. Any deeper was at a cost. They ended up removing 4 wheel barrels of old sand which took 10 min but wanted $200 in cash. Second issue which I didn't notice until they where gone was a lot of the bolts where not tighten and a couple missing. And third they put the liner in wrong and had to disconnect it and turn it around. After that they asked me to fill the pool overnight with water. Next day I stopped the water and looked good. Then the next day I saw the sand around the back side of the pool wet. We had no rain so I figured there had to be a leak. Keep in mind the liner was put in wrong at first and it was dragged and turned 180 degrees. After 4 weeks of back and forth with pyramid first then Westrock they sent a guy here to fix the problem. The 2 guys said there is a leak but couldn't find it. They would need to come back with a tank so they could stay under water and find it. He said he would be back the following week. I'm still waiting for that and that was in July of 2020. I got the local pool store in town and they took care of it for a cost. I did read reviews before time and said I should have stayed away and I didn't. If you don't want the aggravation that I had, do yourself a favor and find another place. They were all nice before purchasing the pool, but first issue fingers pointed to everyone else and even I was basically questioned that maybe I did something. WARNING STAY AWAY!!!! read more

Westrock Pools are condescending, unprofessional, narcissistic, threatening, spiteful individuals. They make false promises, hide behind their contract, and provide horrendous customer service. They subcontract their pool installation when their employees (construction coordinator) can not handle the work load. They install parts (heaters, filters, etc.) that are over three years old for a brand new pool. They are careless and sloppy leaving garbage and construction debris behind. They recklessly damage your property and leave underground utility wires exposed after they unburied them. They have poor communication skills and are unable to schedule different aspects of the pool installation in a timely fashion ultimately delaying completion of the installation. They also pick and choose what parts of their contract they will follow. For example, the contract states they will perform the necessary steps to obtain all permits, that they will backfill the yard to rough grade, and that they will schedule inspections with the Town. They did not do any of this. They will collect your money stating it is owed according to their contract placing the consumer in a situation pay or else. Via email, the owner insinuated violence and was a bully. Via voicemail, the owner stated his construction coordinator was having a nervous breakdown. The owner also came to site infected with Covid unaware of safety guidelines placing people in danger. Westrock Pools only cares about taking your money and not providing you what you paid for. There are plenty of pool companies, make sure you do your research prior to choosing Westrock Pools. Do not fall for their sales pitch when they promise you a pool by a certain date. Our family was extremely disappointed and Westrock Pools could care less. In October of 2022, they promised us we would be swimming by Memorial Day. By no means were they the least expensive, and there were certainly not the most well-known pool company we consulted. They were however, the most professional, honest, accommodating, and reliable business we had dealt with in our years of home improvement experiences. From our initial conversation with Andy, straight through to completion and beyond, the process of creating our private oasis was handled with complete professionalism and timeliness. Obviously there is much more to putting in a pool, than digging a hole and placing the structure in it. Westrock is not only the best at recommending the proper pool for our area and taste, but they work with only the best in the business to ensure that your new pool's surroundings are transformed into your dream oasis. When it came to this aspect of the planning process, Andy recommended we use the same people who excavate the pool sites for them, Curti's Landscaping. The Curti's crew, Scott, John, Dennis, Sam, and Nancy designed, installed, and totally transformed our yard from blah, to ahhh in a matter of weeks. The final product was a total, stunning transformation of our serene backyard, into our private vacation spa. After thirty-three years of dealing with unreliable, unprofessional, and uncaring contractors who promise you the moon, then take many moons to deliver a mediocre result, it was an honor and delight to finally, on such a large scale project, deal with a true professional, who deals only with true professionals. Nightmare...scam artists..."We have been a family business for 50 years"...which is a shame.Rated F with Better Business Bureau. People need to report them to Consumer Protection and the Better Business Bureau. Very obvious the good review are from them..... NEIL. Hired them to build pool asked whom they use to install as the contract states that Westrock doesn't install pools, while trying to read it he gives you the you don't trust me we wouldn't be in business all these years if we didn't build beautiful pools. They don't give you a minute to read it as Andy said he thought we were like family now I should trust him. Just met the guy twice. They said we do all the work but electric. Day labors are dumped at your home with a supervisor who speaks some English, directs them and leaves. Destroyed our property my wifes garden beds which were a good 50 feet from the pool area. Left garabage and soda cans blowing around yard. Screws all over patioband lawn. I tried to cancel project and no one returns calls. Very hard when your kids are so excited. Andy will come out with his Cousin Ronnie don't worry you will love it. Never showed- I called no return call took the time off from work. Contract says custom order final sale. We bought a large above ground pool that was in the advertisement. Nothing custom about it. GO ANYWHERE ELSE AND IF YOU HAVE OR HAD A PROBLEM...REPORT IT! We share are experience with others and it always leads to hearing others issues. They are worse then a slimy used car salesman. No morals and a sad example of a "local family business". This is the Worst Company on the Face of The Earth. Please don't buy ANYTHING from them go to Leslie Pools 1 minute away or Clearwater in New City anywhere but here. Andy and all the Employees are Complete and Total Liars Thieves and utter Criminals. Do not buy anything from these people. Bought a Pool from them horrible time getting it Installed. Took forever to get installed after 3 times took the day off work and they just didnt show up at all with no call or nothing. Very embarrasing since had the Electrician and Water Deliver set-up and made me look like an idiot not to mention wasting a vacation day from work. The Pool was broken from the start and they would not come back to fix it. Did not deliver any of the items listed on the Receipt. No Pool Vacuum, No Chemicals, No Customer Service whatsoever. The Worst of the Worst. Would rather get 10 Route Canals and take bullets to both knee caps than ever deal with these people again. The Stress and Unprofessionalism was unbelievable. Constantly fighting with these people every day for them to do just what they were contractually obligated to do. Save yourself and do not buy anything from these people. Complete LIARS They belong in JAIL...... Even after installation the construction was so shoddy you end up paying someone else $1,000ssss of Dollars to fix the horrible job they do. They send a bunch of unprofessionals to your house to do set-up. Do not speak or understand English and then they demand you pay them Cash as soon as they are done. We began looking into purchasing an inground pool in December 2011. Andy came to our house, sat down for an hour or so and explained everything to us. We decided to shop around. I immediately realized how pressured I was from every other company but Westrock. Andy never made those annoying phone calls. Andy, Ronnie, Bobby, and the rest of the Westrock staff were all so helpful throughout this new process. They returned our calls and far exceeded our expectations. We started the dig in the winter (unseasonably warm weather) of 2012. That crew was there like clockwork everyday until completion, with the only pauses being due to extreme weather conditions. There were no hidden costs that were sprung upon us. Many people are shocked at the overall cost, because they are read the adds in papers for inground pools for $29,000. That won't happen! All the "other stuff" is what raises that cost tremedously- i.e., landscaping, fence, patio. Due to our demanding work schedules, we can't always get to Westrock for the chemicals in a timely fashion. Andy personally delivers and applies the chemicals to the pool on his way home from work for us. This guy is great, and the company has been top-notch! I read these reviews and wonder what Westrock they are dealing with. My wife and I needed to order a new pool liner for our very large in ground pool. I shopped it with a few pool companies and then went into Westrock . I new Andy & Ronnie from buying pool supplies so I asked them what they could do. Andy quoted me a FANTASTIC price from the start. Now that I knew how much I was in for my wife and I had to pick a liner pattern out. Well all I can say about this 4 month ordeal is that everyone at Westrock was supportive. We must have changed our minds at least 5 times. My wife found one online that was a totally different company than any liner Westrock had showed us. I went in again and spoke to Robert. Well he was like No Problem we can get that liner! I was ecstatic , and at no extra cost for me. Now I go home and my wife was also excited. Fast forward 1 month and it is installation day. The pool had been empty for 4 weeks and the crew that came to install our new liner was fantastic. They worked for about 3 hours and when they finished our pool looked like it was just installed. I am so pleased with this total experience and I recommend Westrock very highly for all your pool needs. read more

Purchased equipment (pump & motor, heater, and salt system) and installation. The installation was done very poorly, causing the equipment to malfunction. The plumbing had to be redone 2 weeks later, only worsening the problem to the point of ruining equipment. Actually, the technician came out without all supplies needed and left us to finish his work. The owner never came to evaluate the problem for himself after many calls to Joan who would tell Bob (owner installer) come back but was more than willing to make false accusations and come up with imaginary justifications (someone might have taken a hammer to it, your pool must have a leak, your pool man is to blame...). They refused to take any responsibility or to honor their 90 days warranty only 3 weeks after installing. The owner, Andi was unbelievably unprofessional; snickering, using belittling comments, insults, lies and hanging up the phone. Several expert opinions have validated his company's mistakes but there is no reasoning with him. We must now purchase another pool pump and motor. They use non english speaking day labors whom are dumped at your home. Will never go back ---- read more

EXTREMELY HAPPY! I met with 3 pool companies before I decided on Westrock. I read the below review and truly felt that I needed to go with my gut instinct. I am so glad that I did! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, HOWEVER after reading the reviews, I felt like there was much more to the stories then what was told. Westrock has been extremely professional during this entire process. They just put in a 18 x 38 inground pool. Every contractor that has come to my house has been wonderful. They have all been kind, friendly and very hard workers. I have watched the pool installers, plumbers, electricians etc work in 102 degree heat and also in the rain. Within 1 1/2 weeks my pool was in and running. Andy, Bobby, Terry, Ronnie, and Joan have been in touch with me every step of the way. I was never chasing them down, they were never avoiding me, if I had any questions they were always available to answer them. I am very thankful for all their help and guidance. I truly have issues reading some of these reviews in regard to Westrock Pool and Spa...Some of these reviews..I truly believe they work for competitors.... personally I have had nothing but amazing customer service with Westrock Pool and Spa....they have always shown up when they said they would...they have always returned my calls...they have always stood behind their products and truth be told...I never sold my house because I love my pool that they installed so much. The owner Andy has been nothing but courteous and kind and from reading about his charity work...quite a giving person...Terry the store manager...no one knows more about your pools issues...he truly is the Pool Wizard...he can detect and fix a problem in a blink of an eye, Sue in service setting up appointments, getting the right people at the right place....always calls back and always sends the right person to the job....the repair team....the rest of the staff from installation of my pool to repairs to opening and closing every year...5 stars in my book..would never ever use another company for my pool needs!! read more

We met Westrock Pools at the Suburban Home show in February of 2016 at Rockland Community College. We had them come out and quote putting in an in-ground pool. Because the work to be done was extensive, they brought with them a landscape architect - after negotiating with the owners - who were very upfront and honest about the costs - they showed us some great designs - all of this was done before we signed a contract. Once permits were obtained, the pool was in the ground and we were swimming within two weeks! Is the process easy? Not really - you have to do your homework and know what you are getting. I have had both above-ground and in-ground pools before. Their is no magic and there is a lot work involved. Anytime I had a question or concern, someone from Westrock always got back to me. Even when I decided to buy my winter cover from someone else, their service people were there to install and close my pool - and never made one negative comment. I would recommend Westrock Pools - in fact, I probably will be buying my hot tub from them this winter :) read more

I don't understand the bad reviews and bashing of Westrock. I went to them knowing they are a family owned and operated business and that is exactly how they made me feel, like FAMILY. I had them install my in ground pool about a year ago and couldn't be happier with the results. From the spa & waterfall to the beautiful patio work, and of course the pool, everything came out great! When you build anything things can go wrong, manufacturer defects happen, things in general happen but its the way these issues are handled which matters. The pool is 100% complete, the property is clean, and im ready for the summer. Just because they were finished with the pool didn't mean they were finished with me. They showed me everything I needed to do to maintain the pool and answer all my questions when I come in for supplies. When I was shopping around not only did I find higher prices but I also found inexperienced employees who couldn't tell me whats what. All in all I would recommend them to all of my friends and will not go anywhere else read more

My daughter used West Rock Pool and Spa in Nanuet to winterized and close her pool for the winter she used them again to open the pool last month May 2015. Unfortunately she wasn't home when they showed up on both occasions. After tons of calls to get them over the house and calls as to why her pool water is still green and not clearing up, she was finally told the water was not their problems. Her neighbors told her not to use Westrock but she used them anyway what a mistake. Due to the green color of the pool and all the money spent on chemicals thanks to flamingo pools she was told that it looks like no chemicals were added to the pool when closed ( winterized) and no chemicals added last month to open the pool. They take your money and do nothing to help you. Do not use this company and if u do u are in for a surprise! Terrible service I would never recommend or use them ever again! read more

This is a wonderful family run business. They care about their clients and provide prompt, curtious and knowlegable service. I have purchased two spas from them. The first lasted almost trouble free for fifteen years and only had to be replaced because of an extended power failure during a paricully cold period froze the water and cracked the spa. I was away and was not around to drain the Spa before the water froze and cracked the spa. The replacement which I also purchased from them is terrific. I purchased from them again because of my positive experience. Indeed soon after I purchased the fist Spa I was unhappy with the power it provided, so they replaced, without question, They had the manufacturer add an extra pump to the new one which provided all the power I could handle. Terrible service! Used them to winterized and close my pool for the winter. Used them again to open my pool water a month later still green never came when scheduled had to call a few times showed up 5 days later. Unfortunately I was not home when they came to close or open the pool. Water still green a month later asked them if they put the chemicals why is the water not clearing up and I was told the water was not their problem!!! Thanks to flamingo pools that has helped me and finally the water is starting to clear up! i was told that due to my absence they took my money both times and never added any chemicals. A few of my neighbors told me not to use them and sure enough this is what happened. I do not recommend anyone using west rock! Terrible customer service!!! We had our Inground pool installed by Westrock in 2009-It is beautiful and perfect and we love it! Westrock opens and closes our pool each year and services any needs in between. The service dept will send a reminder in the mail in advance, we book a date and we are done! This makes it real convenient. We shop for any supplies needed at the store because the selection there is the best we have found and we live in Orange County! Andy, the owner is always attentive to us no matter how busy he may be in the store to say hello and make sure we are taken care of. He will even will drop any supply we may need on his way home to our house if a need arises! We recommend Westrock to everyone we know because their service is top notch.
