After being told to 'just shock it everyday until it's clear' and spending HUNDREDS of dollars on chemicals that weren't fixing it, I went elsewhere and seemed advice and our pool was cleared in a day. Every single person in there will give you a different answer on 'what to do' or 'how to do it' or what you need. For experienced pool owners this is a great local family owned place and the people are very nice. But for new pool owners I suggest going elsewhere first.

They have contracted installer ---Mario Emanuel ---- install pools for them. He comes highly recommended by pool king. Installer did not hold up to pool kings terms and provide us an invoice or contract. When we first started talking about Pools as a family we got a quote written by Savannah at Pool King--- which included the liner pad and cove $219.99. We ask for them to write up the quote and purchase the materials on 5/4/2024. Pool liner pad or cover somehow didn't get added. We as new pool owners trusted we were in good hands and had everything we needed to begin our pool journey! We noticed the tracking looked off the day after installation and called Mario. It was midnight and pitch black when they finished installation on 5/18/2024. He said enjoy the pool and we will fix it at the end of season when I called him next day . I have text to prove communication. Our pool never got the cove installed or sand cove (we honestly as new pool owners didn't not even really understand what a cove was until we started getting the quotes for repair) and our pool is falling apart. It was not leveled correctly either. Our liner is showing through because cove was never placed. Pictures included. (First pictures where taken day after pool installed -last pictures are how it progressed after told everything was ok) We have gotten several quotes over $10,000 to fix installer and Pool Kings mistakes. They will have to take down our pool and start over. (They advised it's a safety risk and could break at any moment) We also had a deck installed and it will no longer line up with our pool with the new repairs. I have gone up to Pool King today 8/30/24. I talked with manager Joe Meyer. There was no urgency to have anything completed or resolved. He said I may get a call Tuesday because of the holiday weekend. Mario has ghosted us and not responded since to communication. Pool king is working with us but is insisting we use same installer that caused this mess. We have completely lost trust in this installer and don't feel comfortable with him.

I had to call the corporate office myself to schedule an appointment because she was too lazy to do it herself. She told me it would be the two months before they could install our new salt cell After it took two months to receive. I called the corporate office and they had me on Schedule within three days. The local store has Worst customer service ever. I wish they had the other people that used to run the store because those people were top notch! I will drive all the way to Maryland Heights to another pool store just to avoid this disaster of a place. I've never experienced more rudeness in my life. Good luck. I would do a complete makeover in the store if you want to continue to get people to come there. And I'm not the only one that feels this way. We ordered an 18 foot swim spa in chocolate which they said might take longer as it wasn't as commonly ordered but we actually received it earlier than expected. Brian's team is exceptional, helping us with a myriad of technical questions. We bought this particular swim spa for physical therapy and water quality control. The water at public gyms pools and spas cause severe skin irritation for family members - the Master Spa circulation system along with chemicals used for this unit WORKS FOR US! It's such a blessing to have ability to swim again, especially since the buoyancy afforded by water is the ONLY physical therapy available to my husband. I hate giving bad reviews but this is the 3rd year R&S has opened my pool with consistent issues…read more (they close it as well). So third strike.. I've gotta find someone better!! We never see the same techs returning. And we've had issues every single year. It's like they hire new guys each summer and they're clueless. Last year I was told by a tech, he "didn't know the system." This year the pressure valve on the filter was left open, I had a pressure code on my heater (so it was not functional) because I had no pressure to the system with the valve open! I found one of my jet covers in 2 pieces in the middle of the pool. A plug was left on the ground by the system. My pool entry handle is so loose, I've got to tighten it. The system was not primed properly, done with such little water the box was smoking hot when we opened it. I'm thankful I didn't loose a motor. I've called with a couple of questions trying to troubleshoot these issue but was given some bad information. He gave me an electrician's number for the heaters PS code?? I'm sorry they can be the nicest people but this is their profession, not mine. I shouldn't have to go behind them to fix things that are wrong and effecting pool operations or done with little to no care of correct outcomes. Especially for what is charged. I would think a pool opening includes ensuring the system is functioning correctly and if something is not, then notify the owner before driving away. Which they never do check out and let us know how it went or any issues that need addressing. The process is piss poor to say the least.
