The following is an honest and fair review of Prestige Pools. Prestige installed a Trilogy Atlas Fiberglass pool for our house in 2016. I will start with the strengths: -Brian (salesperson), is AMAZING! Brian has probably heard it all, and has gone to bat for us when needed. Brian also provided terrific insight, and didn't just try to upsell us on things we didn't need. -Quality: after hearing some post installation horror stories, and seeing other pools built, I have no doubt Prestige's work was top of the line (at least for our pool). We have some mystery footprints on the bottom of our pool that appeared during installation, but by the time the project was completed, we were kind of over it. -Water samples: Prestige does a great job of providing water readings. There's been a few times I've gone in for a reading, and the machine has been down, but it's computerized, so just a quirk of technology. Now for the negatives: -Project management is not a strong point for Prestige. We were told our pool would be ready to swim July 4, it was in the ground a July 4, but definitely not swim ready (filtration system wasn't ready, etc), not even close. We never knew if a crew would be out, it was always a mystery trying to find out if they would be on-site for the day. There's lots of moving parts in a pool installation, and Prestige could benefit from having someone on staff with project management experience. -Communication: some people at Prestige are wonderful, others not so much. At one point we had shipping/packaging from pool parts left on the side of our house. Someone at the store tried to blame the packaging on utility companies as there were utility flags near the boxes/trash. The utility flags were from marking lines in the ground. Would I use Prestige again? Probably. Would I ever go through putting in a pool again? Probably not. read more

I had them replace my vinyl liner in the pool 2 years ago. There were wrinkles in the liner after installation. The liner slipped out during the winter when the cover was on. Prestige reattached the liner after telling me to empty the pool so they could fill back up. As it filled I called and that there were more wrinkles in the liner than before. I was told that they will straighten out after it fill with the pressure of the water. DID NOT HAPPEN. Again I called they said empty the pool again and they would straighten it out. I have more wrinkles in the liner than ever before. After filling the pool at my cost 3 times and then Prestige tried to charge for all the visit. I ended paying for most of it. They also tried to charge for added to the pool which they did not and I had video proof. I lost most of last summer swim time because of "Prestige" lousy workmanship. I never had a problem with the original liner which was installed by another company that has since closed. I would not be able to recommend this company for any kind of vinyl liner pool replacement. No one with any authority came to visualize my complaints. read more

We purchased a house with a in-ground pool built by Prestige. So, I visited Prestige to obtain some simple information about the pool. I gave them the address and previous owner's name and to my amazement they couldn't find the file. They knew of the pool I was inquiring about but acted like they couldn't or wouldn't divulge any information about the pool. All I was looking to do was get a pool liner and cover measurements so I could order both. I imagine losing that sale must hurt and it should!! Prestige treated me like crap and for no reason. I can only say, that if I had been the one who had contracted you to build the pool I currently own, you'd still be in court! read more

DO NOT purchase a floor model from this company. They ABSOLUTELY do nothing to the spa before delivery. We were assured that the spa would be cleaned and in tip top shape, however, when we got the hot tub, there was still water in the bottom of the tub, as well as HAIR! In addition, the tub was FILTHY!!! There is no way that they even tried to clean the tub before taking it out of their showroom. When we contacted them about it, they LIED and said that everything was perfect when it left the building! Beware...do NOT trust these salesmen at this company. If it hadn't already been delivered, I would've cancelled the order. I can tell you that I will never do business with this company again. There are plenty of other Spa companies in St. Louis...you definitely want to take your business elseware, somewhere where the manager of the business doesn't LIE to you. read more

We chose this company after meeting with several swimming pool installers. We were very pleased with the price and the timeline for installation. After a few miscommunications regarding gas heat versus electric heat, everything has worked out beautifully. The service department is very polite and very attentive. We ordered and received a Marquis Vector V84 Spa with the assistance of Paul and Chad at Prestige. First, the spa is fantastic - I'm a bargain shopper by nature, but I'm so glad I didn't order a cheap, plastic spa from a box store. The Marquis Vector is beautiful, the jets are strong, and it has been a welcome addition to our screened in patio. Paul is very knowledgeable and does his best so you make an informed decision without pressure. Chad has been more than helpful in the "start up process" of getting our spa hooked up correctly and the chemicals balanced well. I highly recommend Prestige for the customer service alone, and I love my Marquis spa. read more

Prestige designed our pool. The design process was great and we love the end result. They were very responsive to questions, input, and promptly returned calls...until we signed the contract and gave them money. After having a contract in place communication became very difficult and frustrating. Once the pool was completed, the communication break down within the service department is maddening. Scheduling openings, closings, cleanings, or minor issues such as heat pump service is nearly impossible. No, Not impossible, you can call and make an appointment and specifically state for example, I would like to schedule a pool opening and one time clean. You will likely get on the schedule for the opening, but not for the cleaning. That must require a second call as not to confuse the scheduler. The first time this happened I assumed it was me, that I didn't clearly state what I wanted. But it has now happened a second time. This after calling and specifically asking "what do I need to book to open and make our pool swimmable." I was told I was down for an opening and that someone would be out 2-3 days later to clean and vac the pool. That was three weeks ago. I'm now being told that we were not ever on the schedule for a cleaning and that it will be at least 2-4 additional weeks before they can get to us because they are so busy with everyone calling in for openings. And that our best bet is to call someone else. It's not just been the cleaning there has been other minor issues like the liner popping out of the beading and calling for someone to fix it and they never show, at least not without multiple reminders. I would give the design and build 5 stars, but helpfulness and communication afterwards 0-2. read more

Contacting them on a problem with my hot tub cover, 2 weeks later i go back to store and the guy handling the problem admitted he forgot to send the email to the manufacturer. 2 weeks later, no response, i went back to the store and had pictures of the problem, and told them i would fix it if they supplied a plastic piece. 1 month later still have heard nothing. I will never go back to this place and will recommend to all i know to avoid them completely. Hot tub cover still has the issue, i guess i will have to completely take care of the lifetime warranty myself. read more

Horrible service once they install the pool. Convinced us to put in an auto-fill but never was able to get it to work. Workmanship subpar across the board. Head service person is a know-it-all but incompetent employee who never gets the job done right. I'd give them a "C-" for pool install because they are slow and uncommunicative, and an "F" for service because they basically don't care once they sell a pool. Be wary of this company. read more

Worst company I have ever done business with for anything in my life. Our pool was left for months with ditches in back yard, undermined concrete , underground pipes that have cracked since, leaks in pool, ripped liner in multiple places and our 48,000$ in ground pool loses water because of this on a daily basis. I would never recommend them and don't want anyone lose to be taken advantage of like we were. My pool will cost me thousands now to repair all the faulty things done by prestige. Made a large deposit in 2018 to have our inground pool liner replaced, they promised we were the first on the list and would start in the beginning of Apri. It was not started until the middle of May. The competition of the liner was done so bad, the owner of Prestige pools guaranteed it would have it redone and pay for the pool to be refilled. Unbeknownst to us, the sales rep, Brian Tabor, was told on DAY 1 by the retaining wall company that we'd have an issue with Global Stabilization for the wall needed to hold our pool. Brian purposely failed to mention this to us. After spending $20,000 clearing trees and giving Prestige a $70,000 deposit we were then notified it would be an extra $56,000 to properly secure the retaining wall... again, an issue Brian was told by the retaining wall company would need to happen before the project even started. Now our $250,000 pool project was over $300,000. After finding out Brian knew this from day one I cancelled my pool construction project with Prestige. After my requested cancellation Brian called and told me normally Global Stabilization costs anywhere from $6K - $8K, but since our wall was so big it was a lot more. I'm like, "So let me get this straight... you were apparently fine with springing an additional $8K expense on me after you received my deposit, but you didn't know it would be $56,000... and you think that's the issue here? How about not telling me about it in the first place???" Who would be okay with that? Would you work with a company that operates like this? Brian told me they'd just give me back my check, which sounded fair to me. Now mind you there's been absolutely nothing completed on this pool; nothing at all. There was a survey of our property and a soil sample taken; that's it. I get a check in the mail from Prestige for $40,000 (almost $30K shy of my deposit) claiming cancellation fees, restocking fees, etc. for items that weren't even going to be installed until Spring of next year! No financially stable company needs to short customers on a refund. It's the unstable ones that have to get creative because they don't have the funds to do the right thing; plain and simple. And that alone should steer you clear of Prestige. The negative reviews about this company are real and warranted. I wish I would have listened to them before I gave this company a dime of my money. Obviously I'm going to sue them, but it's a hassle. Update: My lawyer has asked for anybody else that has been taken by, lied to, deceived, etc. by this company to share their story. No pushy sales tactics, just great customer service(and a little education). Met all my needs. If you need anything pool or spa related they can help. We bought our swim spa there last August and we love it. We use it all year round. The salesperson there, Chad was very helpful. They hooked us up with people to do the concrete pad to set it on, the electrician company to hook it up, the crane people to set it in the backyard. They have been great with any issues we've had. I bought a artesian elite spa very expensive the sales went fine but I'm very disappointed with their service after the sale. I have had a few issues with the spa and have had to make several phone calls with no call backs or answers. Each service event required multiple calls initiated by me to get the matter resolved. Currently on my third week of multiple call backs and promises to call back to no avail. Sorry could not recommend this company based on the service after the sale. read more

This place is FULL of empty promises! I have never dealt with a more incompetent company in my life. I had them out at the beginning of the week to open and clean my pool to prepare for a weekend family event. Their commitment to me was that they would be done with "everything" by Wednesday. Jim, their service manager, might as well be a used car salesman. Everyday is full of excuses and he always passes fault to his team. What kind of leader does that!? I absolutely hate this company. The attitude of their employee was awful bad. They built my pool. Theoretically, I should not write a bad review for them but this is driving me nuts. It took them more than 10 days to clean the pool. Never call me for the updates. Completely left me behind no I am not a customer of theirs. When they finally finished cleaning the pool,there were still a lot of green stuff at the bottom and the edge. I called them and they told me to send the pictures. I sent the pictures and called back to verify if they got the pictures and they told me the guy who told me to send the pictures has gone for the day after he saw my pictures. What the heck. I also I'm surprised there are only 2 reviews for prestige pools. We bought an inground pool and spa from them five and one-half years ago. They provided us with a competitive bid and gave us a nice sketch basically what it would look like after it was done. They did a very professional job of installing the pool in a timely fashion and was very easy to work with. Last year we went to the Home Show and Mike talked us into getting a gazebo that they had on display. They came and installed it and a new cover for my hot tub. Again meeting all of our expectations and with timely installation. Our own personal experience is we would highly recommend them to anyone installing a new pool or spa. Went to get my water tested. Waited for ten minutes with no other customers in the store. We decide to go to Sunset Pool and as we were walking out, the lady at the desk asked us if she could help. We said we had been there waiting. Her excuse was that Mondays are busy. She jumped up and tested our water. She had a bad attitude and acted as if she didn't want to be there. This isn't the first time I've seen her act that way. The other employees I have dealt with have been friendly and professional. I don't know what this person's issue is. I can't believe there is only one other review for this company, they are HORRIBLE! I am getting a new liner put in my pool and it is taking them SEVEN WEEKS to finish the job. SEVEN WEEKS. It took them TWO WEEKS before that to even get back to me and coordinate the install. I am paying you a lot of money to do a job, why would you not even call a person back? They assured me the job would get done by the end of the season, but they wouldn't show up for days to do work and when they did show up, they would only be there for like an hour or so and then have to come back. It is now December 3rd and they are having to finish the job today because they haven't done any work in the last two weeks. The weather forecast is calling for snow/ice mix this week, let's hope my pool is finished by then or else they will be paying to fix my pool. read more

My parents built their pool about 15 yrs ago for the grandkids, my kids. We now live in their home because we love the pool. Prestige Pools was always helpful to my parents and to me while I was caring for them as they aged. Their staff has always been knowledgeable and helpful. They even cleaned the pool when my mother was hospitalized and on very short notice. I would never consider hiring another company or going anywhere but Prestige. After reviewing and meeting with pool companies to build a small vinyl liner pool in my backyard, I went with Prestige and they did not disappoint. Price was not a deciding factor, they are not cheap. They have over 30 years of experience in the pool building business and the staff and contractors they use are experienced. From the initial well thought out design to permits and pool build, they did a great job. Building a pool is not a small project and is dependent upon the weather. There are several phases to the project and with each phase, Prestige provided experts. I am not related in any way personally or professionally to Prestige or anyone at Prestige. They did a great job building my pool and although the rain delayed the concrete, they had us swimming as soon as they could. The pool is beautiful and my family and I have been enjoying it. Their experienced guidance is worth paying a little more. I didn't give 5 stars only because the project wasn't flawless; however, they do take homeowner's opinions and suggestions into account and made anything I pointed out right. I think also having a "project manager" to contact for any and everything would be great. Sometimes I wasn't sure who to call for what.
