I heard this place was legit, but I didn't realize they had a real production line in there. It looked like two sets of Lucy & Ethel, but with dumplings instead of chocolates. Such good products. They also have a huge line of meal-prep/microwaveable options, but they are a bit overpriced for my pocket. Lots of frozen desserts as well. read more

I recently came across an ad for this sweet little spot on instagram for a free tasting event. My sunday walk turned into the most delightful & satisfying experience... The samples of blini, pelmeni, vareniki & gourmet pea soup were sublime. The staff at Let Me Cook were all so helpful as I was not familiar with many of their eastern european offerings. I met some very friendly Ukrainians & enjoyed being educated on the food selections inside their charming store. I ended up buying 4 different selections including a pasta carbonara for dinner. We've been to Let Me Cook's tastings before, and they hosted another one again on 12/13, which says a lot about their consistency. What I appreciate most is being able to try the food first and then purchase -- especially as a parent. It takes the guesswork out of ordering and makes it easy to see what kids actually enjoy, while also introducing them to different cuisines from another country in a low-pressure way. Seeing the food being handmade on site adds a level of trust you don't always get, and everything we tried tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It feels less like a pop-up and more like something built with care. If you see them hosting another tasting, it's definitely worth stopping by -- particularly for families or anyone curious about handmade European food. I enjoyed it and ordered over 700$ worth of food from them, recently there food is lacking flavor, over salted, odd fishy taste on beef meat and chicken, the price of the food went up but the quality of the food went down, overpriced your not getting what you pay for, the borsht quality is down mashed potatoes beef stroganoff chicken soul chicken cutlets quality is down. As of today I wouldn't recommend this place a few months ago I would have it was good not anymore. read more

I picked up one of the best Napoleon I've ever tried, I can't wait to dive into my three meat dumplings, and I seriously appreciate the fact they use pure hole ingredients. After my initial review on google I decided to give Let Me Cook another chance and I'm so glad I did. Initially I had rated them one star because the cherry dumplings had barely any cherries inside--practically just one cherry per dumpling which was disappointing. However, we tried a variety of other dishes since then, and I have to say I'm really impressed. Most importantly, my 17-year-old teenager who is notoriously hard to please absolutely loved the food. That means a lot to me. We tried their incredibly delicious nuts with condensed milk, borscht, tom kha soup, chicken cutlets, zrazy, dumplings, pancakes, pâté, fish cutlets, and more. Everything was truly tasty, and my child was very happy with the meals. Perhaps I just got a not so great batch of dumplings the first time, because overall, the quality turned out to be excellent. I have been passing this place for a while now. I was on my way home from work with a cold and decided to stop in to see if they had soup. I ended up getting their chicken meatball soup and wow it's delicious. I am so happy I finally stopped in. The soup is already helping my cold. I think I've tried almost every frozen item, except the pork dumplings and kebabs. The beef dumplings are EXCEPTIONAL. The syrniki, golubtsi, crepes, and stuffed peppers are all amazing. I honestly haven't had Ukrainian/Russian food this good in 13 years. I really wish you distributed to more stores or opened a restaurant. Thank you for making such high quality food. I live approximately 25 miles from my location to that store located on Woodman Avenue in Sherman Oaks I came across many many grocery chains and delis . It's hard to come across and find a pretty decent location that serves home cooking, especially when it comes to a Russian fresh made snacks and appetizers or whatever you can call it . When I came for the very first time, I was gonna go to fountain Valley, which was another Russian store and I decided to go to the original location where they buy it off of them, I figured buy it from the original location.. I came in around the middle of September on the weekend the lady in the front with her charming personality, she treated me and welcome me like a customer. They had many many choices but as you understand, you cannot buy the whole store so I spent a little over $100 and I was very very happy to see smiles behind the window. There was about five ladies working and making from scratch their secret recipes they work like a team not just like a team like an organized crew. The food was so delicious homemade I definitely will come back for more even though it's far and I know I can have it delivered, but I prefer taking it and choosing it myself they even include a special cold bag that seals up and for the next 3 to 4 hours You'll get your product home fresh and ready to eat. read more
