"Sunday, Monday, HAPPY DAYS! Tuesday, Wednesday, HAPPY DAYS! Thursday, Friday, HAPPY DAYS! Saturday, what a day..." Don't forget about Sunday! Open 7 days a week in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles on Ventura Blvd between Cedros Avenue and Van Nuys Blvd. You can enjoy a plethora of options including gluten free and vegan ones from their milkshakes to their coffees, teas to ice creams, churros (the star of the show, of course) and everything in-between! For ice cream their Vegan Salted Caramel & Chocolate Ice Cream is incredible, my fav and first choice - but don't sleep on their Vegan Coconut Vanilla Ice Cream or Vegan Coconut Chocolate Ice Cream. Classic dairy flavors include: Cookies & Cream Ice Cream, Dulce De Leche Ice Cream and Vanilla. Ordering inside is easy peasy at the counter, but H.D.C. does use third party apps like UberEats/Postmates for pickup/carryout as well as delivery. I pop in now and then and most recently after dinner I had a nice post meal treat of churros to go. Water at their water and utensils area with beverage enhancers: sugar, stirrers, etc. Churro Ice Cream sandwich is incredible - best if you can enjoy it right away though I have order deliver twice this year just from craving that Vegan Salted Caramel between two of their delicious churro "bun" - best invention ever! Non dairy milkshakes all day! Though I rarely indulge in those extra decadent and rich dessert beverages - highly recommend you do. Seating inside is cool cozy but warm and chic. You can enjoy things outside as well with some seating. Prices are thoughtful, as is Happy Days Cafe. Open to all from PM to AM, see days for specific hours and times. Come out to Happy Days and have yourselves a hopping good time!!

I'm not a fan of churros anymore, but then, I never tried or heard of stuffed churros until coming here with friends. We got the sampler and they were all great, made to order. The perfect snack on a cold night. Four of us easily scarfed down 4. One has mango, guava - some kind of tropical fruit. Happy Days is a charming, small cafe that's open late. Service is friendly and excellent. They serve delicious hot cocoas, too. Was a great way to end the evening!

Milkshake: I rate3/10 Churro ice cream: 10/10 The milkshake was lackluster in flavor and overpriced in my opinion. The churro ice cream was good. The service did take a while and the atmosphere was cozy

Crsipity crunchitty delicious churros with a cozy ambiance and excellent service that's friendly. We were walking with our heads high and boom found this place. Had the confidence to go in and now two orders of churros, an iced latte, and a mint tea of solid size we'll be on our way again. Happy times at Happy Days

Happy days and a the best churro restaurant in the area! They have a lovely array of teas to choose from. I think the stuffed churros are the best thing on the menus. Staff is always helpful and kind. Cute place especially at night!

With a random craving for Churros, I stumbled upon this place. They have gluten free options of churros and waffles, which are nice. Unfortunately, the churros themselves were mediocre...not enough cinnamon flavors but more sugar. Half baked inside (could have been hard because GF doughs are gooey). The lady at the register was also talking for the whole time on phone loud and cooking. I wanted to enjoy churros but the environment was not relaxing and also I am a bit worried she was talking over my churros when cooking.

I was walking down Ventura Blvd while visiting family and stumbled upon this spot and now I get sad every time I think about it because it was SO GOOD. If you're in the area, you need to stop by Happy Days. This was the cutest spot with the most unique and beautiful decor, and of course delicious coffee and churros. I got the churro sampler with different stuffed churro flavors and an incredible horchata iced latte. I still think about this little coffee stop because of how good they were but sadly I'm all the way across the country lol. If you want to send some my way, Happy Days team, I'll gladly take some stuffed churros and another horchata latte

LeMill coffee is used here... Enough said! Excellent brews, cute little place, and delicious desserts. I ordered the Churro Waffle Ice cream which was excellent. Crispy and flaky, the warm waffle complimented the vanilla ice cream deliciously. Inside and outdoor seating available; inside the music is a bit loud but the atmosphere is cozy and sweet like the desserts. Definitely worth exploring this cafe.

Absolutely love the churros here! When we're in the area, my husband and I like coming here after our date night dinners. Although, with our most recent experience, the girl who took our order kept messing it up. My husband ordered a hot chocolate for dine in and she gave it to us in a To go cup :( I was sad about it because I really wanted the nice big cup with the decorated top. At that time, we were over it and didn't want them to just pour it in a cup so we took it the way it is. Additionally, we ordered the caramel dip and they gave us Nutella which we didn't order. It was a bit annoying but outside of this, we enjoyed our churros.

    Yay!

I LOVE this place. Came here with a friend because it's one of the rare cafes that's open past 5pm. SO GOOD! I got the Spanish latte (fire) AND they make GLUTEN FREE CHURROS! Both stuffed and regular. It's such a cute place. They also have gluten free waffles as well. Next time I'm going to try the Horchata latte

cute little cafe along ventura! needed a sweet treat and this spot came up. the churro was perfectly crisp and soft at the same time and the fillings paired so well with it. we got the oreo and dulce de leche filling and ordered a side of ice cream. the cold ice cream paired with the warm gooey churro was a great combo. i just wish there was a option to order just 1 big churro because two was a LOT even for two to share. service was fine, was just surprised that they forgot our ice cream when there were no other customers there lol. still a great place to share dessert with family or friends. it's conveniently close to other restaurants/ bars.

What a cute little cafe! While the space is on the smaller size, they utilize every single inch of it. The design and decorations are perfect. Now for the best part the churros! Absolutely delicious! How did I not know of this place till now? We had the Stuffed Sampler and I don't think I could pick just one as my favorite. The ice matcha latte was so yummy and the ice cream tasted heavenly. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer all our questions. Will definitely be going back a lot!

Are the churros celiac friendly? If not is it possible to get them frozen or raw so we can fry it ourselves?

My bff is celiac and has had their gf churros. She loved them and didn't give her any problems.

    Are the churros vegan?

YES!!! Only some of the sauces they use are vegan though, so be sure to specify that you would like vegan options. But the churros themselves are vegan, and delicious.

Is this a good place to study?

I wouldn't, it gets a lot of traffic during peak hours so noisy and very small space. If you're looking for independent business versus Sbux or CBTL, I would suggest M Street Coffee (but often crowded), Peet's Coffee, Crave Cafe, Coral Tree Cafe,…

Ordering is now done through your phone, or, if you're like me and prefer human interaction, you can walk up to the counter and place your order there. Unfortunately, the traditional waiter-service (although there was a bottle of water on the table) experience is gone, which took away some of the charm that restaurants used to offer. For me, that was a bit of a disappointment. Ironically, I still found myself tipping the cashier. As for the food, there were some highlights. My wife's avocado toast was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. My chilaquiles were tasty as well, but not without issues. The eggs were cooked over easy and were much runnier than I would have preferred, and the chicken portion was surprisingly sparse. Overall, the meal was good, but the experience felt a little less personal than it used to. The food still has its moments, but I have to admit, I liked the old Blu Jam better.

Ordered: Miso Salmon Bento box - 3/5 1. The bento box portion was way smaller than any other bento box I've received. Saying I had half a cup of rice was probably generous next to my sliver of a overcooked salmon. Just each piece of the box overall was quite tiny. I was probably hungry by the next hour. 2. It was tasty but the flavors were weird, both separate and together. They clashed in my opinion. 3. The rice was hard, again the salmon was overcooked. The best was probably the $7 seven minute egg. Very tasty. But otherwise nothing to write home about. I prefer their salads so far. Some pros: Delivery was good and ultimately I did get everything that was listed so always a plus!

While we waited, I got us water, and because we were catching up, it took us about 15 minutes before we were ready to order. We both ordered iced coffees. I ordered the steak and eggs (medium with scrambled eggs), and my friend ordered the huevos rancheros. Around noon, the lunch rush started, and that's pretty much the last we saw of our waitress. Someone else brought our food, and I immediately noticed two issues. First, the eggs were overcooked. The presentation is beautiful, but it's not practical. They serve the eggs in a cast-iron skillet, which continues cooking delicate foods like eggs after they leave the kitchen. Before I even flipped them over, I could tell from the bubbles on top that they had overcooked. Sure enough, the bottom was browned and overdone. Then I cut into my steak. I ordered it medium, but it came out well done. It was tough enough that it took effort just to cut through it. After finally flagging someone down, my waitress returned, and I explained the problem. She asked me to hand back the entire serving board so they could remake the steak. That honestly surprised me. The only issue was the steak, so I simply moved my toast onto the board and handed her the plate instead. It was a small interaction, but it made me feel like the staff lacked experience handling situations like this. The replacement steak was much better, and I genuinely enjoyed the potatoes and the garlic butter that came with the meal. Unfortunately, the service never recovered. From the time our food arrived until we left around 1 p.m., nobody checked on our table, refilled our water, offered more coffee, or brought the check. It was frustrating because I saw our waitress walk around with water for other tables but didn't come to us at all. I eventually had to flag down another employee, who apologized, offered us water to go, and brought the check. Ironically, that's when our original waitress finally came back saying she'd bring it. Whether it was poor communication between staff or simply inattentive service, I honestly don't know. I usually prefer speaking with a manager directly rather than leaving a negative review, but getting anyone's attention was difficult enough that by the end of the meal I was simply ready to leave. I really wanted to like this place. The restaurant is beautiful, and it's easy to see why it's become popular on Instagram. Unfortunately, it felt like the focus was on creating an aesthetic experience rather than a great dining experience. For two people, the bill came to about $65 before tip, and it just didn't live up to the hype. The food alone is a 3-star experience, but the service is ultimately why I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars. A note for management: I'd strongly reconsider both staff training and how certain dishes are served. There's no practical reason to serve scrambled eggs in a cast-iron skillet when the residual heat continues cooking them after they leave the kitchen. Just as importantly, servers should be ensuring the entire dining experience is enjoyable not just taking an order and disappearing until it's time to drop off the food. Guests shouldn't have to flag someone down for refills or even the check. If you're looking for a trendy brunch spot with great photo opportunities, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're looking for thoughtful cooking, attentive service, and a restaurant where execution matches the presentation, I'd skip this one.
