Really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere here is genuinely beautiful. That antique door with the neon sign, the decorative plates on the wall, the whole vibe makes you want to sit down, relax, and get some work done. It's exactly the kind of cafe I look for. Unfortunately the coffee itself was a big letdown. I ordered a Spanish latte with oat milk and honestly couldn't taste any coffee or any hint of oat milk. It tasted like watered down almond milk, kind of like the Kirkland brand you'd get at Costco, just slightly sweeter. And for the price, the size was disappointing too, probably one of the smallest I've seen on Ventura Boulevard for the cost. There are much better coffee options throughout the Valley. I'd rate the coffee an honest 1/5, but the atmosphere is a solid 4/5. Hoping they make some changes because this place has real potential. read more

Got their gluten free churros and saved them for later in the day and was disappointed BUT the next day I put them in the airfrier and they were delicious!! Which makes me realize that they would be delicious fresh so if you get them to save for later, pop them in the airfrier first to crisp them up! My only complaint is the stuffed churros have a little too much stuffing. Buy them with the regular churros because there's a lot of stuffing with them to put onto the plain churros. As for their ambiance, it was alright and the customer service was basic. Better than most places. Their sign outside was confusing because it says Happy Vibes Cafe, not Happy Days Cafe. Overall, will get there again because I don't get a lot of gluten free options. However, if you have celiac, please note they use the same oil as the regular wheat so this is only gluten friendly read more

Although, with our most recent experience, the girl who took our order kept messing it up. Happy Days Café - Halloween Night Sweet Stop We came here on Halloween night after checking out some decorated houses it felt right to end the night with a little treat! I'd heard they're known for their churros, so it was an easy yes. They have tons of options and different sizes, some with fillings, and a whole drink menu with coffee, espresso, and teas to pair with everything. We ordered: Churros con Chocolate- 9/10 These were exactly what I wanted; thin, crispy churros that are easy to eat and perfect for dipping into the warm chocolate sauce. The texture was spot-on: light and fluffy inside, golden and crisp outside. It had about 5-6 in an order. There was a little too much sugar for me, but I just shook it off and kept going. I could've eaten a whole tray, dangerously good! Stuffed Dulce de Leche Churro - 9/10 These surprised me because they were huge basically the size of a hot dog! I thought they'd be the smaller sampler ones, but nope, full-size and stuffed. The dulce de leche filling was amazing.; not overly sweet, super smooth, and just right for our sweet preference (we're definitely 70%+ sweet people). Loved how the churro still had that nice crisp texture even with the filling. Affogato - 9/10 Simple and classic, vanilla ice cream with an espresso shot. I love when that espresso bitterness mixes into the creamy ice cream, especially while snacking on churros on the side. My only wish? A little more ice cream because I didn't want it to end. Hot Horchata Latte - 9/10 So cozy! It had a great cinnamon flavor and that creamy horchata taste that makes you feel like you're drinking dessert. I dipped some churros into it (highly recommend). I got it hot this time, but next round I'm definitely trying it iced, I think it'll pair even better that way. Overall Vibe: Cute, cozy, and a little romantic; perfect for a date night, girls' hangout, or late-night dessert craving. They were open until midnight when we went, which was a bonus. There's a water and utensil station for sharing, and enough seating inside for small groups, plus a few outdoor tables. We parked on the street by the meters, but I think there's also a small lot behind. Upon walking in, the lady with glasses wasn't all too friendly. I asked her how her day was and she just stared at me, waiting for me to order. The Spanish Latte was pretty good but the Carmel Macchiato tasted lifeless. When we ordered the churros, they were HUGE but the inside was a little too soft. Instead of acknowledging the concern or checking the drinks, she responded rudely and stated that the issue was our problem, refusing to offer a refund. Nutella, chocolate, dulce de leche and guava (jam). Each churro got progressively better where I'm thinking oh damn even better! I started with Nutella and chocolate and ended with dulce de leche.
