Not exactly a challenging hike but good if you're just looking to get some steps in and enjoy nature. Don't miss the gardens at Highfield Hall as well: beautiful flowers and grounds.

Do rent a bike from here and explore the Shining Sea trail (and beyond)!…read more The location is super convenient, just a block off of the bike trail. The rental process took less than 5 minutes. The bikes had enough gears to get you up and down the itty bitty hill on the way to the lighthouse. They also have a back pouch big enough to stow your bag. They include locks and helmets (required in MA for under 16) in the rental price. You could even take the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard if you plan better than we did (bikes need to be returned by 6pm).

And we had the bikes all day if we chose, until shop close time of 6pm the day we rented. I have to say that I was extremely skeptical of this at first but daughter wanted to do this for her birthday. I HIGHLY recommend!! The scenery is beautiful and the path is relatively easy. The path is made for bikes and pedestrians which makes it great for not sharing the road with cars. Proper signage too.

Having grown up in Falmouth, this Rec Center has been a large part of my life since a young age. As…read morea kid I used to play sports here, as a teen I spent time in the teen center, and while in high school we came here to watch football games. Recently I had the pleasure of stopping in to watch my niece play winter basketball and quickly I remembered why I loved this place. The Rec Center is filled with happy parents watching their kids play while the staff that has been around forever connected with everyone. The center itself hasn't changed much in the last 10 years, but it is clean and well maintained. Watching games here is a little frustrating because of the lack of seating, but overall that is the only flaw. In the end, it was great to be back in this building and I am happy that that staff here continues to be such a great part of children's lives.

JFK once said, "all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears" - "we are tied to the ocean" and when returning to the sea, "we are going back from whence we came". Falmouth Heights Beach is lovely with soft golden sand. Many families enjoy fun moment on the waters off Falmouth Sound. We love walking on the beach, watching the joggers, the swimmers, boaters, sailors...It is also a dog friendly beach which we Love. Get out if you can and enjoy. Life is good! Life is a beach.
